RVD -v- Lesnar

Recommended Posts

Guest Down Below

I've accepted the fact that RVD won't pin Lesnar cleanly or otherwise at Vengeance. So I started thinking what is the best way for the match to end.

Here are the options:

- RVD pins Lesnar (won't happen)

- Lesnar pins RVD and wins the IC Belt (seems likely)

- DQ (they were invented for a reason)

- TKO (RVD is knocked so senseless that he cannot continue, although he wants to, and he loses the belt)

I say, screw HHH and his "Lesnar shouldn't win by TKO stance" and let Brock win by knocking RVD out. That way RVD isn't completly buried and can be made to look like someone who won't give up no matter how much shit is beaten out of them, ala Austin WM XIII.

Thoughts?

I can see the TKO finish happening.

Or maybe the TKO finish, and Brock keeps punishing RVD so the ref reversed the decision. This way Brock gets over, but RVD keeps the IC belt.

... RVD being knocked out would be worst than Brock pinning him, IMHO. -_- That would.. just suck. He would be totally buried..

Brock can pin RVD, but RVD's foot on the ropes. A la UT Vs. Austin... RVD gets his rematch for the SS Title shot the next night on Raw. RVD wins with Heyman-backfire interfence and everyone goes home happy (I know I would).

I think the best way would be for Lesnar to gain control about 10 minutes in and just beat the shit out of him. But RVD keeps getting up. Big blade job, whole nine yards, but RVD keeps getting to his feat. Finally, the ref just stops it, even though RVD is leaning in the corner and demanding Lesnar bring it.

Okay so this ain't the best way to go about it, the best is to have Lesnar win the IC title by cheating, then on the Raw following RVD demands a rematch but not for the title, but for Lesnar's Summerslam main event spot. RVD wins, goes on to main event, and Lesnar is still a strong upper midcarder.

Of course, look for Brock to powerbomb him once and win clean in 2 minutes

:) If they'd used my two pinfall idea, we'd have had no problems.

I want to see RVD get the title shot. Brock can have the IC, for all I care.

It isn't that damn hard!! >_<

Sure, we all want RVD to get the title shot. But let's be realistic here, Brock is going to headline Summerslam no matter how much we all want RVD to.

what if the WWE swerves the shit out of us and gives us Brock (IC Champ) vs. RVD vs. Rock(WWE champ) for the World Title......

then RVD can pin the Rock...Brock won't lose...Rocky puts someone over...

we all go home happy

That'd make sense. :)

So Lesnar beats Rocky in a 15min squash.

Damn Nyland.. that WOULD make damned good sense.

But.. using WWE logic... EPD would be right. -_-

Hey if I can bullshit myself into STILL thinking that HBK might still wrestle, I can bullshit myself into thinking RVD might headline

for the last month, I have heard plenty of "job Lesnar and his title shot" ideas.

But, wouldn't that tarnish the King of the Ring more?

Let Lesnar have his title shot.

RVD won't be totally buried if he jobs on Sunday. That's a load of crying and bullshit. RVD got over as a face while a heel, what the hell makes you think he'll become unover just because of one loss?

My scenario:

RVD beats Lesnar in a close match at the PPV.

Kanyon and Awesome and others beat up on RVD while being paid off by Heyman, to put RVD out of commission.

RVD defeats Kanyon at Summerslam

Chris Benoit wins the IC title from RVD on the next night, in the main event, after Lesnar had beat up RVD and hurt his shoulder.

Then a foursome can be formed: Lesnar, Benoit, Eddy and Kanyon (or somebody)

September PPV: Lesnar v. RVD for the title.

then, if Brock is working, make it screwjobby. Then at the October PPV, he loses the title to RVD.

If he isn't working. He jobs the belt to RVD at the September PPV.

It would but it doesn't seem like the WWE cares.

So.. I say... don't let Lesnar have his title shot although in the end he will anyway.

How could you possibly tarnish the KOR any more than it already has with the likes of King Edge (heatless) King Shamrock (heatless) King Billy Gunn (Heatless)??

Lesnar, as much as you love him, has been here 6 months. Even the bohemoths of the past have been in the Fed for longer than that by the time they won the title.

If you stopped watching for six months, and they said Brock Lesnar was the champ, you'd go, "who?"

That never has happened with WWF champions and it never should

You think that someone in '98 who watched WM14 went "Who's this Austin guy?"

And Kanyon? Pff keep fuckin dreaming...

I'm all for a TKO finish, as long as Brock is the one getting knocked the fuck out.

ya know...if Brock got knocked out now...he might as well go back to OVW...because he would be completely rendered useless for television...

moreso than he is now

I see potential inside that poor bastard.....if he can retain any heat at all he will make it big...but when people see Lesnar and think "Goldberg"...that's not a good sign...

...just let him do ONE SSP and the crowd would go nutz...

And that would be bad because we need someone... ANYONE to become the "next big thing" and take wrestling back into mainstream popularity, be it RVD or Brock.
