Guest NoSelfWorth Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Both guys are being disrespected by the way WWE can't decide whether to have the match or not. And the other guy in the Hogan pic is Genichiro Tenryu.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Dammit... I made a solid post about the lost generation...and everyone no sold it.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I won't say so much that it's politics..just stupidity. Let's face it. No matter how much 'backstage pull' a guy has, if Vince wants them to job, they'll job. Plain and Simple. I'm not going to say Angle is misused. He's gotten about a HHH-level push since the time he's been in the fed. The whole Edge bit was the only time he didn't get a serious push. Which I believe he's getting now..they're straightening out his character. The list BPS put..well..none of them except Angle are "WWE Boys". They'd push Edge over Benoit, Eddy, RVD, Booker, etc..simply because he was WWE 'born and bred' and dosen't wrestle what Ross would call an "unorthodox" (meaning: "They're good, but they aren't WWE good, bah gawd!") style. That's my input, though.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 I agree with BPS. It's good to build new stars. But Eddy, RVD, Jericho, Benoit, Angle, and Edge are all relatively "new" stars. So why are they being used to put over the rookies? They should be being put over. They are the next generation as of now.
Guest Human Fly Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 Also when Jericho and the rest came in they had to "pay their dues". What kind of dues are Cena and Brock paying? Going over Upper Card guys and winning World titles? They are putting over new stars and that is good, but not when it's at the expense of current stars who get their value damaged and still have a lot of potential left in them.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 This is where it bothers me. If it was 'Taker and Triple H putting over Cena and Brock, nobody'd say a damn word. But because it's Jericho and Angle, etc..they're being 'screwed over'. Please.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted July 21, 2002 Report Posted July 21, 2002 "If it was 'Taker and Triple H putting over Cena and Brock, nobody'd say a damn word. Exactly because HHH and Taker's time has come and gone(be it that HHH's was a year or 2 but face it, IT'S OVER) but Jericho and Angle can still carry the company. It has nothing to do with "Smark Favorites" or some other bullshit that anti-smarks(who are smarks in denial) like to throw around. Jericho and Angle can still be huge stars therefore they should not be damaged at this time. HHH and UT's only redeeming quality's at this point is to put over new talent.
Guest Human Fly Posted July 22, 2002 Report Posted July 22, 2002 Here's a recap of the Jericho v. Cena "feud": - Cena knocks Jericho out with a slap before match. Jericho wins match by a fluke move after getting all of 5 or 6 moves in the match. Cena punks Jericho out after the match. - Cena pins Jericho in a tag match - Cena is getting ready to beat Jericho so Y2J gets himself DQed. Jericho beats down Cena after the match - Cena beats Jericho with a roll-up on ppv after Jericho tried almost every heel cheating tactic to win. Jericho has a tantrum after the match. Jericho got about the same amount of offense in his feud with Cena that he did in his feud with Triple H
