Not really. In general you get the same IP almost everytime you sign on. Because you computer asks for the same IP it had last and IF and only if it is being used will you get a different one, unless you use AOL and then its probably more often. But the above point is true for most dial-up AND broadband users.

That red name and unregistered title mean that the person was banned.

 

And the IPs were identical.

Uh, yes, really. Just because I was curious...and because this is such a riveting argument...I decided to do a little disconnecting a reconnecting of my own.

 

For four different log-ons (not counting this one), here are my IPs:

 

64.254.42.112

64.254.42.60

 

You may have a point about particular internet services, MrRant, but that point doesn't hold with mine.

 

And you may not have noticed, but I'm not really disputing the fact that a comment made under WittyBanter's IP earned an IP banning earlier. Yes, good, and fine. But that IP doesn't match the one that's been given earlier by IllustriousOne.

But IT DOES match the IP of the banned person in February and the person who was BillyBump #2

 

The actual identity of the person is meaningless...as the person sitting at that computer dialing up that IP# was banned and now the glitch has been fixed.

Although the discussion got very heated...I have come to beleive that it was all just everyone trying to understand the other people.

I joined WDI, posted once, and looked around. I'm not going back. It's basically a haven of Sault hatred. Plus, it's kind of a "bush league" message board while The Smart Marks has a "pro" feel.

 

LMAO. I just love these people who assume that since WDI doesn't have 34839848234 14 year old wannabe smarks running around posting shit, they aren't anything. Smarks Board has a pro feel to it? Why, cause it has a ton of members, most of whom are fairly useless? Is that what makes it pro? I can't even go into the WWF folder without getting a headache. Most of the people here are more interested in showing off their ability to make a huge fuckin sig, and try to show off what they think is knowledge of wrestling. This board has a couple ok qualities to it (mostly the pop culture folders), but for the most part it's shit. The layout is shit, most of the topics are shit, and half of the posters are shit. Am I jaded and cynical? No. Realistic? You damn betcha. That is all. //Gimmick infringement.

Nowhere did I say he didn't deserved it or I was entirely familar with the situation. I do have a somewhat limited grasp of what happened, not being there myself. What I meant by my statement can be based on the following: the WDI terms section. The definition of AS is clearly negative against him, thus it be presented as FACT and not an opinion. Of course, this is just one example.
