Promo: An Important Announcement.

(Camera fades in to reveal Danny Williams sitting on a bench in a looker room. He's wearing sweat soaked muscle shirt, and sweat pants. It's obvious he just finished a work out.)

 

Williams: "Hi, my name is Daniel Williams and yes I can speak. I just choose not to, because I hate promos and I don't do interviews. I'am a wrestler, I wrestle. Than why I'am cutting a promo, you ask? Well, I have an Important Annoucement to make! Actually its pretty obvious, but I know how dumb you American fans can be, so I will spell it out for you.

 

Me, former SJL Champion, Danny Williams will be in War Games this Sunday! By the way I'am not really a former SJL Champion, since I was never defeated for the belt.

 

So I know what you are thinking. You think I'am out of my element in a War Games match. I supposely can only wrestle on the mat, afterall I'am just a techincal wrestler. Well I say BULLSHIT to that! Ask Alan Rickman if I can't brawl! Ask Tod DeKindes! Z! Rotten! or any one else I knocked silly with my elbows. I find it insulting that people sterotype me as some type of pussy who lays around on the mat all the time. I have to wrestle on the mat, because my opponents are too scared to stand toe to toe with me.

 

What the hell is a techincal wrestler anyway? To me its just another word for a wrestler. Since every wrestler should have some training in technique. If they don't then they are not a wrestler. Which brings me to my opponents. These guys aren't wrestlers, there a bunch of DAMN CLOWNS!

 

You got the World Champion Ediwn MacPhisto: Sure he has flash, but he has no substance. He would rather pop the crowd, than win the match.

 

Than you got Raynor: Sure he has a cool catchphrase, but how's that gonna help him at Wargames. He may be big and strong, but he is the worst conditioned athlete in the SWF. He won't last 5 minutes in the cage.

 

Than you got Z: Scratch what I said about Raynor. This guy is the worst athlete in the SWF. His very presence in the SWF, is a disgrace to the sport that I've bleed and sweated for. He has no business anywhere near a wrestling ring.

 

Than you got ELM's: Bwahahahahahahahah! Don't even get me started on those damn Luchadores and their 1001 ways to perform lethal armdrags.

 

And finally we have Thoth: Carnies, can you honestly trust this man. He's in the Clan. Nuff said.

 

And come this Sunday, I'am going to school all your asses. My style may not be pretty and it won't pop the ignorant Ameican crowds. But it will get the victory, and that's all that matters.............................

 

Well I've wasted enough air time. Every second this Promo lasts, is a precious second being taken away from a quality wrestling match. So cut that damn camera off!"

And man oh man...we're up against Wilson, Outcast, AND Deathwish. When it comes to technical wrestling, you guys have quite the damn team there.

 

Nice stuff, Danny. Could have used a once over proof-reading, but it got your point across, and I like the 'I don't talk, so I'm gonna make this fast and get back to kicking your ass' attitude.

It's all relative, Chris. You could say "Hi, my name is Chris Raynor," and that'd be better then:

Thinking about it, I'd really like to see Danny do a comedy promo sometime down the line where he keeps someone in the Deathlock for the entire duration of his own late-night cooking show.

Uh...anyhoo, cool. As Raynor said, it seemed a bit rushed, but IMO the whole "no bullshit, straight to the point thing" is your style, and I enjoy it as a break from all the fancy-shmancy promos that we usually have. *COUGH* Prophet *COUGH*

Deathwish promos, and its pointful and quite good. No crap. And I believe he's probably referring to "CHRIS SMASH!", but I'd put more money on "You can't stand the Rayn, and you won't survive the Storm!" God bless you, Edwin, for remembering that.
