What's next for...

Recommended Posts

Guest Anglesault

So, now that the PPV is over, many people are left without a program. Some got them last night on Raw, but several are still stuck. So, what's next for....

Angle? (Nothing I can see)

Eddy? (Booker?)

Taker? (Nothing I can see)

Booker? (Eddy?)

Feel free to add people in.

Eddy vs. Booker seems logical. They are both without a feud and could put on a good match.

I'm not sure about Angle or Undertaker though...

It pisses me off that next for Eddy isn't The Rock. He could put on some good matches, yet they make him lose and end of feud, end of story. That was a total slap back to upper mid card that they wouldn't let him have the title shot next week.

Angle - RVD?

Booker - Benoit is on

I thought that they would be building for RVD vs. Benoit for Summerslam.

I'm just hoping that the Jericho v. Edge match that happens tonight isn't the end of their feud. Otherwise, Jericho is left with nothing to do either.

Yeah Benoit/RVD is definetly on. I see Booker possibly feuding with HHH, but I sure fear that. Eddie probably will be left off the card or somehow get back into it with the Dudleyz.

Who the hell knows for Angle, unless some how Undertaker went to Smackdown and fought Angle because Angle lost his title.

I don't think that they will end it on Smackdown. It seems like too good of a feud to pass up like that...

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! "Too good a feud?" must I remind you that all of Edge's victims (Storm/Chritian/Regal/Booker/Angle) just FINALLY recovered toward the beginning of July? Are you really willling to send Jericho into Post Edge feud hell for a year?

You're right, the possibilities for them with 20 minutes is exciting.

I don't really rhink there is an "Edge curse" Anglesault. Anyways, what else is Jericho doing right now?

The heck are you talking about Anglesault? Edge's matches with Angle were FANTASTIC, show stealing matches, that were in many aspects due to the talent of Edge. An Edge/Jericho match would rock.

And the feud didn't negatively effect Angle,...he was just in the main event at Vengence!

Yeah, Angle was so killed from a character standpoint. I mean, the WWE was so baffled by his lack of heat and his lost legitimacy, that they were didn't know what to do with him. He was sent to the undercard, where he made Hogan tap and came so close to winning the title. God, so damaged.

Then what the HELL happened to Storm/Christian/Regal/Booker and Angle imediately after their Edge feuds? Storm and Christian became jobbers til July. Regal got demoted to Euro title holder/Jobber until he seemed to move up a little in July. The Edge feud was the final nail in the coffin for Booker's cred until his face turn in late June. Angle ran around in wig getting his pants pulled down after his head feud until late June. This all just coincidentially occured right after a feud with Edge. (booker is harder to tell, so you can DQ that one if you'd like) Can you name ONE person who ended a feud with Edge in equal or better standing than they were in the beginning of the feud?

Anyways, what else is Jericho doing right now?

A clean win over Hogan would do SO much for Jericho right now (It did for Angle)

It only got Angle for a month. He was a joke who argued with Maven, couldn't beat Bob Holly and got his pants pulled down every show. But it was only a month, correct. Everyone one seemed to recover on or near KotR 2002

Here's the thing, in Storm and Christian's case, it was the WWF's blunder. After a terrific match with Storm at SummerSlam, and after a terrific ladder match with Christian at No Mercy, the WWF did not take advantage, and mearly ran out of stuff for those two to do. But they both had matches where they could have built off of. Regal should be a moot point, because he is horrible and drags everyone down. In fact, Regal cost Edge 4 months of momentum. Edge is not the problem, he supplies great matches. Its just in those cases, the WWF has failed to capitalize off great material.

Exactly, Storm and Christian were dropped by the wayside because they were mrely fodder in the Great Edge Push. Same with Regal (Edge should except half the blame for that feud) Angle (and to an extent, Booker) Anyone who has feuded with Edge is used as a stepping stone, and they and up going on a downward spiral. Do you wish that on Jericho?

I just don't see it as Edge's doing. And as a wrestling fan who is dying to see an awesome SummerSlam, I want to see awesome matches. Jericho v. Edge is an awesome match waiting to happen.

I know that this has been said SO many times, and I dont want to sound repetitive, but how is it Edge's fault and not the bookers faults? Or did I miss something and Edge now has backstage pull?

Storm: We all know that at that time, practically all the WCW guys were made to look like jokes, not just Storm.

Christian: Every breakup is like this: one is successful, the other guy is not. Simple as that. Has there been a championship tag team that hasn't been like this?

Regal: IMHO, Regal didn't look that great coming into this feud. He didn't really gain or lose momentum.

Booker: Come on, this wasn't really a feud! But you said that this can be DQ'd, so we'll leave it at that.

Angle: Just main evented on a pay per view two weeks ago, and made Hogan adn Undertaker tap recently. He only got out of his feud with Edge less than 2 monthes ago...he didnt' get buried at all.

About Jericho, I think that the Team Canada in itself will get him over and do something for him. It is obvious that WWE does not want Jericho as their top heel, so they won't make him go over Hogan clean. Anyways, an Edge vs Jericho will be a LOT more entertaining than a Hogan vs. Jericho feud.

Id like to see Angle with Edge against the evil canadians. It could lead to Angle / Jericho, and lead Angle down the road to his super babyface-ness (i made that word up) and his eventual dethroning of Brock Lesnar.

I'd like to see Booker T go after The GAME-UH if Shawn is not ready to wrestle. If not, an Eddy feud for one month isn't the worst thing as at least you know Eddy won't bury him.

Taker I could care less. Maybe against Bischoff's Island Boys?

I know APO, I just hate it when the blame goes in the wrong place.

I don't think Edge does it intentionally. I think his inability to work a good feud really fucks the other guy over. Edge isn't evily plotting people's demise. But a feud that is built to elevate Edge shouldn't destroy the other guy. It's been done before! Both guys CAN look good. I'm sure that the booker's can take alot of credit, but Edge's lousy promos and predicatable, borring spear oriented offensive run ins/matches really didn't help anyone. The only reason it didn't hurt Edge is because he went over in the feud and moved up the card.

Angle: Just main evented on a pay per view two weeks ago, and made Hogan adn Undertaker tap recently. He only got out of his feud with Edge less than 2 monthes ago...he didnt' get buried at all.

That whole feud watched Angle steadily move down the card. And the time between Edge and Hogan was hell.

With Regal, I feel if Regal got demoted because of that feud, so should Edge. They should except equal blame for THAT monstocity.
