Guest Nevermortal Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Christian was announced Tampa for cheap heat at Mania. If you listen to JR @ Vengeance, Edge is now from Tampa. Eh, I couldn't hear Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dumb at Vengeance, I was in a room full of people bitching about how the WWE sucks. Can't say that I blamed them, although it was getting tiring around the HHH interview.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 I think Hogan might be moving on. And Cena isn't much of an American representative.
Guest PB-13 Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 I think Hogan might be moving on. And Cena isn't much of an American representative. I give them credit for FINALLY pushing some new people...a shame it took a major rash of injuries and Steve Austin saying bye-bye to convince them. Cena's talented enough and comfortable on the mike...I don't have a problem with him getting a push. I only hope it's not too late for them to push new faces like it was when WCW finally did it.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 I'd love to see Jericho's face when/if he found out that he would be moving to Raw with Hunter.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Mark Henry def. Kurt Angle via DQ. Brock Lesnar interfered in this match and attacked Henry, prompting the DQ finish. -- Hogan & Rock def. Lance Storm & Christian via DQ. Brock comes out again and attacks Hogan just as he was about to pin Christian. Yeah!!!!! beatings galore.. I wanna see if Brock could give Mizark the F-5
Guest alfdogg Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 I was there live, and the unknown was indeed Shannon Moore. I think that's all I can cover that hasn't been already.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Angle will have to put Brock over...which I disagree with on many levels. The main one being that Angle is the complet package...and he should get Brock's push now. But...whatever... maybe Angle can drag him kicking and screaming to a ***+ match. Can't wait to hear how much heat they give Brock in post production.
Guest alfdogg Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 And yes, Brock did give Mark Henry the f5.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Wait a minute...They're not setting Kurt up as fodder for the Heatless Wonder, are they?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 um... now... I'm sure Angle will pin Brock or make him tap on his way to winning the undisputed title... yep...
Guest Anglesault Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 SHIT! I'm so fucking stupid. I just NOW realized that Brock went to SD! so they could put fake heat in. How could I not see that from the beginning?
Guest MrRant Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 SHIT! I'm so fucking stupid. I just NOW realized that Brock went to SD! so they could put fake heat in. How could I not see that from the beginning? Blind Angle worship?
Guest Anglesault Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 um... now... I'm sure Angle will pin Brock or make him tap on his way to winning the undisputed title... yep... Maybe they'll avoide each other. Did Angle turn face? He might be the guy to run in and stop the beat down of Rock after Summerslam. Apparently, he and Rock have been shaking hands and hugging after the camera stops rolling. ::sigh:: Kurt is fodder.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 I don't think they can avoid each other...they already started an angle...
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 did Brock give Hogan 'F-5' also? Brock really needs some new tights or something. Maybe he can wear a black singlet. I'm sure Angle/Brock would be a damn good match.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 I don't think they can avoid each other...they already started an angle... No, not an angle, just a couple of somewhat threatenting confrontations. Kurt is still safe. Brock really needs some new tights or something. Maybe he can wear a black singlet. That'll get him over.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 It couldn't hurt. Let's face it.. the WWE fucked up big time with Brock. They had to have Heyman help for him to beat Bubba, Test and RVD. What a load of shit. The WWF has never been able to properly book a monster heel.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 I think Brock's "Tailbone" tights are all he has going for him right now.
Guest MrRant Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 It couldn't hurt. Let's face it.. the WWE fucked up big time with Brock. They had to have Heyman help for him to beat Bubba, Test and RVD. What a load of shit. The WWF has never been able to properly book a monster heel. And that is sad because if they were able to it would be a lot better for wrestling in general. But heels are harder to create unless you are going for cheap heat... like insulting fans etc.
Guest alfdogg Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Oh, in case no one has mentioned it... there were two other matches that may or may not get on Velocity. Sean O'Haire over Funaki Tajiri over Mike Awesome
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Umm....I hope these talent raids end with SD!. I mean it's just going to get old(not to mention confusing) if they're out there stealing people every week. Plus shouldn't the GM's stick to their own shows?
Guest MrRant Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 What I think we are seeing is like a "free agent" period like in sports and when everything settles there will be the occasional trade. Perhaps even if they stick with it.. every WM there will be a "free agent" signing period to mix things up.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 I will have the exclusive details as to how much fake heat Lesnar gets, tomorrow morning, so stay tuned and stuff..
Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 It would be nice if an American did it oo. Technically thats been Kurt Angle's gimmick, well sort of, he's 100% Amercian and bleeds that red-white-and-blue and will till he breathes his last, just anti everything thats wrong with American culture and people (i.e. laziness, overweight, too sexed up pop culture, cities with moral decay, ect) Come to think about it, Kurt's promos should probably be shown in sociology classes around the country as to why American society and culture have fallen in recent decades. Be pretty heavy stuff if you went beyond the quick cheap heat one-liners. Steve
Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Actually Angle would make a GREAT topical radio talk show host along the lines of a Rush Limbaugh or a Sean Hannity, and he'd have the perfect title for the show: "The Kurt Angle Show, Oh It's True, Its DAMN True!" Steve
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Let me start out by saying I've enjoyed the majority of the Smackdowns since the split. But this one, outside of Rey/Chavo and Edge/Jericho and possibly Kurt talking, looks like it's going to suck.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 It sounds like Rey Jr. had a good debut on Smackdown and Edge and Jericho had a good match, but it sounds like Smackdown's starting to get a little flooded with Stephanie's airtime again, the only difference is it's backstage this time.
Guest redbaron51 Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 how did Rey finish a match against Chavo, and for anybody who went to the show how good was it?
Guest PB-13 Posted July 24, 2002 Report Posted July 24, 2002 Edge beating Jericho doesn't phase me anymore. Which is kind of odd since this is the first time it's happened on TV...
