The Seven Deadly Sins – LUST

The fourth sin…

By: Mark David Ashburn

- Handler, “The Dark Prophet” Tyler McClelland

Lust (‘lUSt) – noun – Overwhelming or encompassing sexual desire

Tyler McClelland, the so-called “Dark Prophet”, has been largely unsuccessful. Love has prevailed… Julie’s charm, however dubious her career may be, has mesmerized Danny Williams. Danny’s innocence, however dark he may have been, has captivated Julie. Danny, unknowingly, is quite the proverbial Casanova… he treats his woman well, he is perfectly capable of falling head-over-heels in love…

(…He reminds me of me so much that it frightens me…)

Tyler McClelland, that so-called “Dark Prophet”, is battling himself… his self-defeating mission is failing, but he won’t give up… He won’t admit defeat. His envy began the mission: he couldn’t stand the fact that this version of him was so much happier than he. His own greed angered him: he didn’t realize that money cannot buy everything… his own pride frustrated him: he couldn’t admit that this plan may not be the best route to take.

This prompted a telephone call to a Mr. Jefferson Kane.

This is a man under indictment for being the figure-head in 12 counts of prostitution… this man is under investigation for the murders of seven men, all gang-related killings… this man is under surveillance for drug smuggling… this man is not the kind of guy you’d wish to see in a dark alley.

This man is Mandy Lewis’ boss…

This man is the bane of Julie’s existence.

Tyler’s phone call to a Mr. Jefferson Kane involved two things. First, he reported that a ‘worker’ of his turned down a trick for one million dollars. Suffice to say Mr. Kane was relatively irate upon hearing this news. Secondly, he asked Mr. Kane to assist him in exacting his revenge against the woman he knows as Ms. Lewis. His idea for revenge was not cruel nor unusual in the business which Mandy works… however, given the circumstances, it is more than horrible… it’s frankly paralyzing.

So, here we are… at the residence of Tyler Andrew McClelland… the estate enshrouded in the darkness of the night, the house at which the ghost of one Laura McClelland still haunts… Tyler sits in the basement, waiting for the arrival of Jefferson Kane… the man with whom Mandy Lewis has resided for the past three years. Tyler sits by himself, in the dark, and ponders the consequences of his actions… his brain is more than occupied as the doorbell rings out, breaking the outward silence…

Tyler rises to walk upstairs and does so quite slowly… slowly enough that the doorbell rings out into the silence once again. When Tyler finally reaches the door, he greets his guests with a large grin on his face.

“I’ve been expecting you.” Tyler states quite simply.

Standing in the door is a hulking black man wearing gold chains and quite a few rings… the man wears a white suit with a cowboy hat, snakeskin boots, and ridiculously dark sunglasses. He is the stereotypical pimp you would see in a movie or a sitcom… almost as if he is trying a bit too hard. However, Tyler decides not to make a comment as he discreetly eyes the man’s waistband for an unnatural protrusion. He finds it at the typical spot, on the man’s hip. He carries no shoulder holster, but it appears the pistol in his waistband is more than enough to coerce Julie to follow him… She stands slightly in front of him with a fearful look on her face, then forces a smile towards Tyler…

“I’m going to need to see the money up front, Mr. McClellan-“

“Of course. Look over on that table and I believe you will find sufficient reason to believe that I am willing to pay my end…” Tyler gestures towards the foyer.

Eyeballing the coffee table, the felon shrugs his approval.

“This is never something I’ve had requested of a client… but I suppose whatever works for you…” Mr. Kane states.

Tyler gives him a sarcastic grin.

“It’s not something for me to enjoy… but I suppose I will…” He alludes mysteriously.

The man shrugs his shoulders and looks directly at Julie.

“Are you ready, bit-“

“I’ll take her downstairs.” Tyler cuts him off.

“…okay…” Kane replies.

“…alone.” Tyler orders.

Grabbing Julie firmly by the arm, Tyler leads her down the stairs to the right of the living room… With the frightened look on her face growing, Tyler brings her down to the room… lit by candles… and smiles at her.

“Why… why are you doing this to me, Tyler? I… I thought you were such a nice-“ She stammers.

“That was your first mistake, Julie… you don’t know me at all… Ever since my wife died, everyone has been rubbing their happy little faces in my business… people claim they love a person… I don’t know. Frankly, it just makes me sick to see people happy… the pain I feel, it’s something that I can’t ever get over… and you will share it with me, Julie… everyone will…” Tyler explains.

(…But why?...)

“I… I’m sorry for your loss… but…”

With a fit of rage, Tyler throws Julie down onto the couch… he positions himself on top of her and places his head next to her ear…

“You aren’t fucking sorry for my loss… you are a damn whore that can’t feel anything… you’re the scum of the earth, Julie…”

With eyes full of lust, Tyler grabs her chest and kisses her on the lips… she tries to resist, but simply can’t…

(…No… this isn’t me…)

“Tyler… no… please…” She gasps.

“What, am I not good enough for you, Julie? Am I not appealing to you? How much better in bed is Danny? Hmm? Don’t you want to find out…?” Tyler whispers harshly.

(…Stop… no… I don’t want this…)

“No… please…”

Tyler leans in and kisses her on the lips again…

“Don’t worry, whore… I won’t hurt you…”

(…Get me out of here… for the love of God… I don’t want this to happen… this girl is… she doesn’t deserve this…)

Julie is silent... as if accepting her fate… then, all of a sudden, Tyler sits up, then stands up from the couch…

“No, Julie… it’s not going to be me that hurts you…”

(…No... I won’t let anyone hurt her… she’s not a bad girl, she’s… no…)

As if on cue, Jefferson Kane walks down the stairs… Tyler walks over to the camcorder sitting across the room and hits the timer for one minute… one minute until it begins to record…

“Turn it off when you’re done… have fun, Julie…” Tyler snickers.

(…Stop him… no… don’t let him… do this…)

“Alright…”

With that, Tyler walks up the stairs… the red light comes on the camcorder and the tape starts…

“Okay bitch… get on your knees…”

Tyler shuts the door and walks upstairs… the package will be on its way within the hour…

(…I’ve got to put a stop to this… I can’t do this… stop… please…)

You don’t really want me to do that though, do you? You want this worse than I do… I’m just making your wishes come true. That bitch is getting what is coming to her, right? Aww… don’t worry about her, Tyler… she’s just fulfilling her role as a whore… giving a customer what he wants…

(…She doesn’t deserve this… this is too far… I can’t do this…)

Don’t worry… you don’t have to do a thing…

Tyler writes an address on a box… a box the perfect size for a video-cassette… to a Mr. Williams...

Infidelity is the killer of 90% of relationships in the United States, after all. Tyler is just providing evidence…

Fade to black…

My Mcclelland, remind me to NEVER EVER introduce you to another woman for the rest of your existance. This promo just sickens me, and I'm not even part of the storyline! Well done, getting a strong point across. Keep them coming 'cause I will keep reading. I feel sorry for your opponents at Wargames!

Feel sorry for us? More like feel sorry for him. Us Carnies don't like mean bastards like that!

I've got a corkscrew brainbuster with your name on it, sickie.

Good promo, excellent prose, but jeez, we're definitely pushing the envelope here, aren't we? This one seemed almost like too much. Pimps are great and all, but I hope that this leads to some sort of important character progression from Danny--I can't see how it wouldn't, but I hope it's noticeable and fairly major. We're seeing how much of a bastard Tyler is, but as a manager character and non-wrestler, it's not as important to me as seeing more of a focus on Danny in the last promos of this series. I think that's important to making this series and storyline the best it can be.

Don't worry, it's coming...

Crazy scary man!

Excellently written as always, but hopefully we quickly get back to having Williams involved. This has been an interesting series so far, and I think now the girl might committ suicide. I don't think any female has done that yet in an OC promo.

Stupid ppv with match-writing and brainstorming. we've hit a lull in PromoWars. Dammit!

Hmmm.....this is definitely interesting, and I'm interested in how the hell you can incorporate "Sloth" into this.

And again, I love the definition effect, like Pulp Fiction.

Damn. He crazy.

This is getting close to my old Christian Fury promos in terms of sheer brutality towards women. Scary stuff. Keep it up, man. The world NEEDS superheels...

Damn. OC doesn't know where CIA's sister lives, right? You bring the words 'cruel' and 'mysoginistic' to new levels with your promos, Cast. And I mean that in a good way.

Brutal to read, cause the subject matter is obviously somewhat disturbing. Normally, though, pimps=ratings.

All told, this one is spellbinding, beautifully paced, a fantastic look into an oft misunderstood charavter's psyche, and more, all wrapped into one. Still, as far as this series, go, I look forward to Sloth. It'll be nice to have a break from the sickly entertaining EVVVVIIILLLL.

Write more, OC.

My prediction for Sloth: Outcast falls asleep and forgets to do anything evil. SLOOOTH.

Either that, or the big guy from the Goonies shows up and takes him to school...
