Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 imagine if its Mike Sanders...and this was a Smark-themed swerve
Guest jimmy no nose Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Who's Bill Apter? You're really asking, right? He did the old mark magazines and I believe most recently WOW magazine.
Guest spiny norman Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 It'll be Test. He's the heart of Smackdown, after all.
Guest AssDroid! Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Who's Bill Apter? He was the editor of "Pro Wrestling Illustrated" and magazines like that. You'd recognize him as the balding guy with the glasses taking pictures at ringside during WWE PPVs.
Guest NoCalMike Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 In the slightest possibility that it WAS Goldberg in the limo, let me be the next one to say, OH PLEASE GOD, NOOOOOOOOOOOO
Guest mach7 Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 *sigh* It's neither Goldberg or Steiner. Straight from WWE.com: "Eric Bischoff bragged at the end of SmackDown! that he knocked out Stephanie McMahon by stealing one of her superstars. Speculation is running wild over who the RAW general manager could have had in his limo last Thursday night. We'll discover the identity of the defector when RAW airs live on TNN at 9 p.m. ET this Monday from Greensboro, N.C.!" ...

Guest The Mountie Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 And Apter only said like 'wouldn't it be great if it was Goldberg'.
Guest Marshall Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Who's Bill Apter? You're really asking, right? He did the old mark magazines and I believe most recently WOW magazine. WOW is no more!
Guest BionicRedneck Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 WOW is no more! Good, it was shit.
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Maybe its Albert, so we can get another one of his FAILED MONSTER PUSHES!
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 Dude remember when Eddy used Austin's music? They popped like crazy. They popped like crazy because all the marks and rubes in the audience still thought it was a work. I was the only guy in the arena who knew what was going on, it seemed. Everyone kept expecting Austin to come back at the end of the night. Of course, the WWE didn't really make things any better. When Austin [really the Rock] was announced as coming to the ring to talk, the marks behind me were going banannas. "Can you believe it? Stone Cold is really here. Stone Cold is in OUR arena! WOOOOO!" and that kind of thing. Again, it was that period where even smarks were unsure if it was real or if the WWE was using the dirt sheets to launch a hell of an angle.
Guest Prince Paul Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I think it's Austin. Just kidding. I really hope it isn't Goldberg. I have no desire to see him in WWE at all.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 I hope it's Stiener. Hell It would even be nice seeing ol Goldberg again.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted July 28, 2002 Report Posted July 28, 2002 if goldberg showed up, attacked brock WITHOUT the possiblity of a world title feud, i'd would mark out. as long as he left soon after. Seriously, if it's not hogan, who the fuck is it?
Guest DJ Jeff Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 If it's Goldberg, that would be pretty cool to see. However, I can guarantee that it won't be Goldberg. I'm almost 100% sure that it's going to be Hogan. It seems as if Smackdown is being reserved for the up and coming superstars, ie. Angle, Jericho, Edge, Cena, etc. If it's anyone else besides Hogan, I'll be surprised, but I think it's going to be Hogan.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 I certainly hope it's not Hogan, although it probably is. Maybe if they really are going with a "Eric Bischoff turns RAW into Nitro" storyline then they could fit that in, but otherwise, I don't want to see Hogan in any increased role, ever, and may have to reinstate my "flip the channel every time Hogan's on so his segment gets THAT much of a lower rating" mini-boycott Yea, I really didn't know who Bill Apter was. Thanks for telling me. I still don't understand why his idea/discussion is so important though just because he ran some old crappy wrestling magazine. Does he still have "inside sources" or something?
Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 29, 2002 Report Posted July 29, 2002 Apter is 100% wrong if he thinks it is Goldberg. It is NOT Goldberg. Period.
