Guest HartFan86 Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 Bret Hart's "Wrestling With Shadows" documentary will air again on A & E this Sunday at 5 p.m. EST. Credit: Wrestlingexposed.com
Guest Karnage Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 They should release the movie on DVD...it would be really awesome.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 No shit. I've watched it on A&E two or three time and I wish they would release an uncut DVD with extra footage of the hart household, exclusive interviews, etc. I'd pick it up.
Guest Austin3164life Posted July 30, 2002 Report Posted July 30, 2002 Documentaries like this make you wonder what kind of movie will be released about the months leading up to Austin's departure, starting with his walk-out after Wrestlemania 18.
Guest TheBlurricane Posted July 31, 2002 Report Posted July 31, 2002 be hard to make one on Austin since there were no documentary cameras around. With Bret Hart there were cameras following him around filming specifically for a documentary...which never set well with me. Honestly if the Montreal screw-job never happened would Wrestling with Shadows even have been that good? It makes you wonder... now I don't want to get into a discussion on whether Montreal was a work or not, but there's just too many doubts in my mind.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted August 3, 2002 Report Posted August 3, 2002 I have wrestling with shadows, watched it about a thousand times, mainly to laugh at Russo when he sticks he head up, but mainly because, like it or not, it does lend credence to the "Montreal was a work" shit that goes around A dvd would own though
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 I never saw it before, but I'm watching it now.
Guest Kingpk Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Watching Stu making those guys cry in the Dungeon is hilarious!
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Earl Hebner looking like a sneaky bastard while Bret talked about how much he can trust him was funny too.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Ummm... "rape me"? Is Bret serious, the WWF wanted DX to rape him in the middle of the ring???
Guest jester Posted August 4, 2002 Report Posted August 4, 2002 Well, that was my first time seeing Wrestling With Shadows, though I've read all about the subject. A few random reactions: -Kingpk is right. Stu Hart was hysterical. An old guy making young newbie wrestlers howl like they were four again getting a wedgie from a bully... -Too bad the camera didn't get Micheals' face when he was denying knowing about the screwjob. He sounded pretty dishonest though. But with the making fun of Bret on the following Raw... I will never ever like the man. I don't care if he cures cancer or rescues a busload of nuns. -I have residual hatred for HHH for being around, clearly meant to be muscle in case Bret took the screwjob VERY poorly. -Vince has testicles of steel to pull the screwjob with that camera crew around. And a kind of mini-clique in the remaining members of the Hart foundation...And today he has the stones to make the fall of WCW sound like Bret Hart's fault. -This could really use a follow-up, after what happened to Owen.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Vince had nuts of steel when he locked himself in his office too. Triple H seemed like an asshole when Diana was talking to him. All of the participants except for the Harts knew amn well what was going to happen. If it was the right thing to do, why was everyone acting like cowards? Hebner swore on his kids that he would let nothing happen, but he got the hell out of dodge after the match was over. It pisses me off to see how Vince tries to bury everybody. At least we haven't been treated to a Steve Austin midget yet.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Well, we'd better damn well GET a Steve Austin midget. What's wrong with you, Vince? BURY HIM!
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Bury him or bury him more?
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 You can never bury a guy enough.
