Show still going up... I think? I keep getting an error with the show, so I can't read it. I know I lost though, I expected as much. Ah well, I'll just have to learn to try harder. Good match annie, good show.

Promo's galore, read, read, read.

Oh my GOOOOOOOOOD so many promos.

This show is great. I don't think I've ever seen so many character progressions and developments in one show...::drools::

And Wilson? I don't know what you were talking about. Writer's block? That's one hell of a main event.

I've blasted through all the promos and I'm going back for a second read...they were all too exciting to sit still on. But without a doubt, my segment of the night is Z's promo. It comes right after Silent/Raynor, right before the main event...and it is golden. Really, absolutely, wonderful.

Honestly, that's the best on-show promo I have read in a long time. Like...months time. I'm proud of my Carnie pal.

I saw Edwin's post on the WWE folder and went to check the SWF out.

...

Well whoa. That's the SWF. I just read the show and woo, what a book, but it altogether was a better show than most RAW/SD nowadays.

I was thinking of joining but now I doubt I could keep up.

Well, thing is you don't start out in the SWF, so you're not expected to produce SWF-level stuff right away. Before you get the SWF opportunity, you polish your skills in the Smarks Junior League first, which is kind of like a "developmental fed" for the SWF.

It's now 4:30 am...and I couldn't be happier to post the show and card this late. That show rocked...promos and matches alike...

Althuogh, i wish there hadn't been 2 matches that didn't happen, but still...even those turned out to be the best double no shows ever becuase someone gave me somethinng to put in it's place.

And Silent?? Jesus! The man has just been bumped and all of a sudden he's the devil himself. What can he do?? Dear god...the payoff here better be huge or I'm gonna job Edwin and Thoth for all of eternity...I don't care if Edwin IS in the kliq....JOBBED!!

WOnderful work people...and off to sleep I go!

Oh yeah...DIE JAY DAWG!

That was an absolutely loverly show from top to bottom. If we get a Erek Taylor/TBS rematch, that will rawk the freaking house. All the Silent stuff, kinda big for a guy that just got bumped and hasn't won a match yet, but hopefully it all pans out splendidly.

Promos, promos, promos. Lot's of good stuff in there, and I liked Z's challenge as well, though I think Edwin may be hyping it up just a tad. He's an excitable world champion. We may have been a little light on the wrestling side of thing, but I think those matches that were written were very good, except for mine, which I look at and wince. Stupid ending writer's block. Grrrr. Did anybody else write for this?

Bottomline: We here at the SWF are awesome and just rolling. Apocalypse is going to be one helluva PPV, and I for one, cannot wait.

Heh heh heh. We all started in the JL, so it's nothing bad. If you do join, that'd be great...it might seem like a lot at first, but it's totally worth it. You get into really quickly and you don't have to be writing complex storylines and epic matches until you really feel like it.

And as for all the Silent attention...yeah, I think it's gonna be good. I couldn't be happier with the way the assorted promos from me, Thoth, Silent, and Z lined up. Thugg, you did an awesome job of syncing those up in a good order.

Soooo much storyline...mmmmmm...

Whole show comments you all!

My opening promo owns you all!

Edwin has a good opening promo as well. But mine rulz.

Interesting ending to Danny Williams match. I tell you dude, I hate that commentators basically repeating what you just wrote stuff. Did a good job putting over the non existant Xero.

Another shock to me was the XF9 getting the win over the M7. A nice clean win, that keeps credibility.

Thoth finds Spider with his promos... nice stuff by the Balancer I must say/

Ced wants to join the M7? Why do I sense a Brutus Beefcake joining NWO scenario?

TBS = teh suq

Agreed that the relationship between the clan and the Carnival is going downhill... especially with Wilson's promo. Not what about Silent people... It's all Silent's fault.

Annie with the surprise(to me) victory over my stablemate, Sacred. I thought he had this wrapped up, honestly. Annie wants my ass. Yeah you heard me.

I won! Yay! Kind of went with some original spots for this one, hope you guys liked it.

Taylor can't handle the World title! BONG!!

Raynor talked out of facing Silent for Z to take his place? Gee... Z will get anyone over! BONG!!! Low blow but Silent ain't that scary... I mean... you can call him bitchfist and he'll smile like a whore.

I knock out Fallout to get punked out by who!!? Thugg is right, you can die Wilson! Boom shakalaka! Nice match by the Wilson, as expected. Kind of hoping that Lerrin wrote for that one. I still hate that commentator doing half the match bit.

Hey, Maple Leaf dude... another advantage of going through the Junior League is that it has a slower pace right now... instead of two shows a week, they have three shows every two weeks, so you have four or five days to write each match. From there you can advance at your own pace.

Anyway, show comments.

Awesome promos on the Edwin/Thoth storyline, looks like the "Clanival" days are over, or at least numbered. But that's okay. It was fun seeing the Clan in a face (or "face-like," so I don't offend any Clan loyalists) role for awhile, but it's also pretty damn surreal.

Silent/Z interaction was gold as well. I really like Z's character in the SWF and his relationship with Edwin. But let me tell you something, Z... given the choice, I wouldn't run from him either. ;)

And now on to the matches, and DAMN! This was the kind of night I wanted XF9 to have at Ground Zero! Excellent work from Annie Eclectic and Tod deKindes. (But, damn, Tod, those *** have got to go already!) Renegade, this wasn't your night, but don't worry, there's always one more time for the Renegade Mastaaaa! Erek Taylor also comes up short, but don't let this roadblock keep you from your goals... it's your first loss in a long time. Remember that.

In other matches... oh wait, there weren't any other matches! Oh, except for Danny Williams/Xero. Good stuff Danny.

Woo, and that's it for now.

Time for some breaking it down, detailed comments. Hey, here's an idea: Why don't we pin each show until the next one is posted? Just so it doesn't faaaaaall down, since no one can bump it. Simply an idea, and now we move on.

JD's Opening Promo O' Doom

JD sent me his promo, and I loved it then and I still love it now. Especially how he gets Kivell out there, saying he's going to be defending against Thugg. Too bad X left, or that be a really cool match with build, defending of honor and such.

Edwin and Stubby, sitting in a tree...

I like Edwin and Stubby interaction, especially when the cursing and insults start to fly. The stuff about crippling his opponents and Stubby's response was classic. But you've had enough of me for the week? Tsk tsk. We'll see about that.

Xero vs. Deathwish

An interesting match that had some build for a curtain jerker, considering Danny's promo. I don't even know if Xero is writing or not, but Danny should be ready to make a good run now that he's putting all the parts together along with his strong wrestling knowledge.

XF9 vs. M7, tag style

This is like upset city. You little bastards are lucky you got Frost and TBS teaming together, simply because they haven't done it before. If it was CCBB, you'd all be dead. Like that. Good match, though, and an attempt at building tension between M7 members. Yet again, tsk tsk.

Thoth/Spider

It's cool we had a whole segment for Thoth opening a door :P I liked the student/master interaction, but is Spider gonna start writing? When he does, he tears it up, but he's not booked and/or no-showed. Either way, the whole Clan inner turmoil is a nice change from the fanatical loyalty.

Strangler & TNT & Tape

Poor TNT getting yelled at by an upset Strangler. Poor guy, losing ICTV title match and all. Hopefully he gets another shot, or else somebody's gonna get hurt.

Thoth n' Edwin

So the partnership is on the rocks. That's gotta suck. Because once the Clanival breaks up, the Clan and Carnival are really kinda small and easy to hurt. All this because of a bumpee whose been back for 2 months and is notorous for disappearing? Hope it all works out, for the angle's sake.

Annie vs. Sacred

This is like bigger upset city. I was informed Sacred was in line to be top heel before my return, with the departure/turn of Thugg, and Annie E tops him. Way to make your free TV comeback, gal. I'd like to see the Annie E/JD rematch, maybe with Thugg in Annie's corner? Pansified with his broken neck? Ohhhh yeah.

JD vs. Gade

Read this match. Some of its just sick, and I love the finish. If Thugg did come back, and he and JD had a hardcore match, that sumbitch would be sooo close with the way JD is writing violence nowadays. As long as the ideas keep flowin, nobody's gonna be able to top him for his title.

Erek and Strangler

Poor TBS is still hurting inside, and he just wants a shot, no interference by either side. Is that too much to ask?! That meanie Erek makes fun of him, and doesn't give him it. Don't worry, TBS. I'll handle him.

Silent/Raynor/Edwin/Z promoage fun

Apparently pulling Raynor's arm out of the socket and trying to set him on fire wasn't enough, so he gets booked against the other bumpee. Edwin comes out and holds Raynor down, but then Z comes out and makes a challenge. Hopefully Z writes, because I dont' think he's written a singles match since his bump, and I think he can easily beat Silent, cuz he's g-o-o-d.

Oh, and I just figured out how the whole angle's gonna end: Since Edwin was running from Silent, it's going to turn out that he was in the WF long before Edwin ever debuted in the JL. Whats that, you say? As Cyclone Comet, masked man of justice. It all's starting to make sense now...Yesss...Yesss.....

MAAAAAIN EVENT

This was a confusing match. Not because of stips or anything, but because my head still hurt from Wargames and this kinda messed with myself and Edwin's long-term booking plans. Nevertheless, I thought about 10 different finishes, none of them worked. I thought about jobbing to Erek. I thought about a no contest. Finally I decided it's a lumberjack match, so I'm just gonna have interference, screw it. Good to see that it panned out.

I'd like to see the matches of anyone else that actually wrotes for this thing. Erek? Fallout? Breggan? Pleeeeease.

Overall, good show, heavy on promo, light on wrestling, but what wrestling was there was good. I'm really hoping the whole Silent thing pays off, but who knows. XF9 is looking a lot stronger than I thought they would, and I won. Big fun.

Good idea on the pinning, Chrissy Stardust. I stuck Storm at the top of the board so no one has to hunting in the meantime.

I liked the student/master interaction, but is Spider gonna start writing?

I hope so. I know he wrote and topped ELM on the Storm before the PPV, but I never really can tell with him. Thoth, you have any clue on this?

And:

I'm really hoping the whole Silent thing pays off, but who knows.

I think it will. Honestly, it might seem like we're overdoing it now, but there are a lot of branches to this little story-tree we've been devising. Consider this the big, thick, hearty trunk to get us all started, with smaller limbs to grow with time.

Went back over the show again and I'm really liking it...full comments to come shortly.

PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed);

"Hmmm...interesting show.

Good matches, with not all of them going to the usual suspects. Watch out Carnies and M7, you're not the only guys in town.

And lots of Silent stuff. Of course none of it will mean anything if he can't compete at the top of the card. We'll see.

Good show, but I'm not as in love with it as everyone else seems to be.

Well, first let me say that this whole thing literally may enclose the entire fed, Silent being the odd catalyst, and remember folks, Annie E = former lifetime Clannie. She'd punk his bitch ass down ASAP if it weren't for the fact that he's a slaughterer. Screw that, I'd still kill him! GO Z!!!!

Secondly: I Won? wow. .... Nice, I guess I get a nice cushy reward for that! Oh wait, no, I get to tag with Renegade v. Sacred and Lerrin F'ing Breggan. LERRIN BREGGAN! Sacred's a monster heel at first and now me and Gade have to get him AND the Monster? Shit.... I'm bringing my Kendo Sword and using it, damn you all.

I'm still kinda over my head on a lot of this stuff, with it's historical implications and... I gotta read more...

Oh yeah: JD, you're getting your ass double mega beat for first kicking my ass at Ground Zero then taking out gade with a freaking piledriver through two chairs and a table? You're Sooooooooo dead now bitch! :D

Zing a ding ding, it's full on komment time. Since the show was dominated by promos, I'll start with them...

JD opens the show with a solid one. I can't say I like Matty Kivell getting ground into paste, because he's my favorite ref to use on the rare occasions I name one...but that's okay. Wishing Kivell a speedy recovery...now, onto the real big issue there. Calling out Thugg? I have no idea where this is headed, but man, a Thugg/JD hardcore showdown even if for one night only would be so hot...

Ced and Merc...MerCedEz, the team that never really was, talks, and doesn't wrestle...I'm disappointed, because I was eager to see these guys get back to in-ring action, but if there's an angle coming of this...the disaffected Ced drifting somewhere maybe he shouldn't...I'm all for it. Now, let's hope for some follow-up on Smarkdown.

The Erek/Strangler stuff...Strangler as the big pissed-off guy who's a bit embarrassed at how Erek's been getting to him? I can dig that. "Look out, a car!" is classic comedy, and at this point, the feud has transcended the typical "I insult you, you beat me up" formula. Between Erek's non-stop word-slinging and ability to back it up in the ring...or the parking lot...and Strangler's ever-growing rage, brutal beatdowns, and deep desire to prove that he is the big bad Strangler man...hell, the belt heats this up, but this is above titles now. Excellent. The first Strangler/TNT vignette was a little brief and "oh...okay..." for me, but hey hey hey on angle progression.

Since there's, like, 6 promos involving the Clan/Carnie relationship to a various extent, I'll talk about them all now. I'm glad Thoth's promos and my promos melded well even though we really didn't give each other much info on them. Although I'm happy with how our character vignettes turned out, my favorite spot is what Silent and Z pulled together...the back and forth of Edwin/Silent and the heroically foolish boasts of Z...to me, that'd be a great 15-minute segment of character action somewhere in the middle of Raw. Had a real electric feel. I do hope Spider is around to get some more of his own input in on this stuff soon, though. I'm also glad that several of the segments worked in their own little way to hype Thoth/Edwin for next week and add some more dimensions to that.

Onto wrasslin'...

Danny d. Xero

Grunting sounds! HUUUUUUAAA! ERRRG! I dug the slow pace through the opening--rather, a very well-paced submission section, to put it more clearly. Danny really put over the power of his basic holds quite well. The fifteen-minute time limit was odd, but I suppose that was the only way you could make your finish convincingly work. Altogether good stuff--Danny's constantly improving, and had me pretty well held on here despite the limited movesets and "slow-paced" action.

XF9 d. Frost/Strangler

A bit of an upset, maybe? I dunno, not really. The only reason I could maybe consider it one in-character is because M7 has been so potent lately. What a great night for XF9 altogether, though, starting with this. First off, ASTERISKS MUST STAY! They're unique! Yeah! Second, the actual match: I didn't know there was Porn Night at Blockbuster! But seriously folks...well-paced tag match. Nothing too amazing/mind-blowing here, but for a toss-together tag, very nice. The XF9 team is showing a more aggressive direction as hinted at, and with this added purpose they're starting to make waves. Classic southern-heel style nastiness on M7's part--the clothesline along the apron from the not-legal man, the fake hand-clap tag, plus a nice hot-tag...lots of fundamentals here, felt very old-school. I like. Ending was a bit fast due to what looked like running out of words, and the heel miscommunication/roll-up was all so sudden that it lacked impact, but aside from the weak cap, a good match.

Annie E. d. Sacred

Big win for Annie! (Y) at boob-tendons, and (Y) at a solid match. The struggles and reversal out of and then into the Black Number One were my favorite part...it added a nice little self-contained story to that section of the match. The match itself felt a little spot-oriented to me, I'm not sure why, but excellent commentary to put over possible psychology, injuries, and tactics helped that out. Certainly a successful rebound from the HC title loss at the PPV, and it seems like XF9's aggressive intertia is taking them towards a collision course with Creative Control, sooner or later.

Jay Dawg d. Renegade

The Renegade Masta's debut gets cut out from under him thanks to the usual JD hardcore sickness. See, this is why I really would die with joy if that Thugg/JD one-night-only thing happened: JD's got such a weird, innovative mind with this hardcore stuff lately that he could actually devise legit ways for someone to have a fighting chance against a huge guy. The Shamrock vibe is really standing out for JD's character, which is pretty cool. Some nutty spots here, particularly all the stuff with the chairs, and one nasty piledriver through them to end it. I'm not really good at writing hardcore stuff nor do I claim to be a quality judge of it, but this seemed pretty cool.

Main event

Damn you, Wilson! I wanted to face Erek! Eh, well. Another day for me and the Prince, and on Storm, another match with guys I know well. Some smart writing there, particularly with "Breggan's rookie mistake" and the well-done cluster of the lumberjacks. I'm not sure why people complain about the commentators-call-most-of-the-action approach...it's basically the same as the descriptive parts of story or block. I just squint so I can't see the quotation marks. Anyway, back on track--really good job of putting everyone over, especially Breggan and Erek--Breggan only really lost because of the lumberjacks, and Erek lost because of some screwyness despite having the heart of a thousand men or whatever. Nice.

All in all, good and above-average matches meld with a lot of important Silent foundation, Carnival/Clan association, and XF9 motivation to create a fun show.

Hey JD, as I sent to Thugg, at about 3 something Thursday morning, when i had almost 6k done in my match, the power went out due to a storm and my computer crashed! When I fired her back up, I was left with 1200 words and a long day of work in the morning, so I couldn't finish it! I appologize to you and the other guys, it really sucked.

Otherwise, for the rest of the show, absolutely stellar. There is so much excitement and great storyline advancement going on around here that its absolutely nuts. In the short time I've been here, its really a good place to be! I hope everyone can keep their excitement level on high, and, hoping that I get in contact with sacred, I plan to take my revenge on smarkdown...

Analysis/Review of Tod/Pete vs. Frost/Strangler.

rating: **1/2

Nice swerve to start as the faces isolate the heel(Frost). Of course the rookie(Tod) makes the first mistake, to let the heels take over. Frost/Strangler kill Tod for the bulk of the match.

My first problem with the match is at one point Tod takes Frost down with a leg clip, but instead of making the tag he choses to work over the leg. Still you managed to cover it up by having Frost get the advantage back. So it could easily me interupted as a rookie mistake, and a cocky attempt to hog the glory. But that idea wasn't really put over in the writing, and the idea of Tod being murdered and suddenly taking offense is a huge suspension of belief.

Anyway like Edwin said, there's some great Old School NWA heel spots that I love. In fact this whole match felt like old school NWA, simple but clever storytelling and wrestling, with high spots designed to get a reaction from the crowd.

Of course Frost does something very dumbass by aborting his finisher when Strangler tells him "To Finish Him!". Now that's bizarre. He than tries a running knee with his bad leg, and misses. What a dumbass. Tod eventually gets the tag, and Pete cleans house. The heels take the advantage back in the fourman brawl, but Frost fucks up again and knocks his partner out. Clip, Cradle, good night.

Overall, I loved the simple style and the old school heel spots. Some parts were a bit vague and tough to follow, but I'am not judging the writing. However, Frost went from an unstoppable monster to a clumsy idiot in just one week. The internet smarks would be pissed at that one. I did like the ending though, it stuck with the story of the match. Frost is dumb and his leg is hurt.

I know it's probably like 20 minutes before the next show goes up, but I finally got time to read the whole show. Finally, I make the comments I have been promsing to make.

JD's OPENING PROMO

The mentioning of the ppv replay coming up was a really nice and subtle touch. Calling XF9 "Carnival, Jr." I felt was an unnecessary cheap shot. While the swearing is central to JD's character, I think that the amount of it and it not being bleeped was a little too much. I mean, what channel is Storm on HBO? Overall, however I felt it was a very unique promo with the use of Kivell and I'm very interested to see where the firing and challenge of Thugg leads too.

EDWIN VS. STUBBY PROMO

Really intense confrontation that actually made me more interested in seeing Stubby and Edwin go at it then Edwin and Silent. However, the promo does do a nice job of legitimizing Silent as someone Edwin has serious issues with and someone he considers a threat.

WILLIAMS VS. XERO

I would have done a little more in beefing up the intros. Apperantly no one got the memo about not using Kivell. You do a nice job of using the commentators in talking psychology, but their dialogue could be punched up a little with more humor, like at the end with the eye infection joke, very classic. Gorilla and Heenan were masters of balancing good commentating with humor. I felt the match had a nice pace, but maybe filling out your narrative action could help the transitions a little more. A time limit draw seem a little unwarranted as both men could really use the win, but we'll have to see if this winds up going anywhere in the long run. Not sure who wrote the match, joint effort maybe?

THOTH PROMO

The first paragraph was narration, but the rest was internal monolgue; a little disconserting without something to signify the switch. I felt sort of "eh" after reading the promo, it could have been a little longer to build the mystery of just who Thoth was looking for.

XF9 VS. MAG 7

I would say this match was primarily written by Tod from the style it was done in. I also came up with a much better name for the TBS/Frost team of the Frosted Serial Killers. The intro of Pete and Tod talking backstage felt unnecessary. The commentary felt flat to me for some reason, and it could have been used better to break up the narrative action. I agree with Danny that Frost seemed very out of character at the end. I have always stressed that although Frost is a brute, he is not a dumb brute. That is what distinguishes him from the Brock's and Sid's of the world. Overall, I agree with Danny's very detailed comments above and can't add much more than that.

Thoth promo 2

Reads like a pivotal scene in a really good kung fu movie. I loved the dialogue and it subtley sets up future confrontation.

CED VS. MERCURY

Confused the hell out of me. We'll have to see where it leads. I would have to vote on Ced not joining the Mag 7 if it is heading there, primarily on the basis that I can do simple math.

TNT AND TBS PROMO

Confused the hell out of me. If this was just so TNT could have some face time, it could have been achieved much better.

EDWIN AND THOTH PROMO

Loved the Walrus and the Carpenter reference, mainly because it's very literate for a wrestling show. This was a very subdued promo compared to others and I like that. However, I think it could have been a little shorter and too the point. Silent is bad, Thoth must see this, the Clan and Carnie partnernship is wearing thin.

SACRED VS. ANNIE E

The winking self-references and fourth wall breaking in the beginning was a little heavy handed for my tastes. I'm thinking most lesbians would be heels, but it's refreshing to see such a character as a face and it shows the opened mindedness of the SWF fans. Not sure what the point of having Molly do the intro was. Proof read closer. You do a nice job of telling a story through the match and the action was very crisp and enjoyable to read. A good job of setting up a JD/Annie rematch at the end, although beating Sacred with the sword might have buried him a bit too much. I would say that you should try to curb some of your more outlandish tendencies and focus on the very solid in ring writing skills you very much possess. I am interested in seeing how Annie's pusuit of JD overlaps with him going after Thugg.

JD VS. RENEGADE

I like you just going straight to the match, get too the action I say. JD's ability to write a hardcore match with breathtaking and innovative "holy shit" spots while not letting it turn into pure garbage impresses me to no end and I see I was very foolish to challenge him as I did a few weeks ago.

TBS CONFRONTS TAYLOR

More could have been done here to build to a rematch. This felt like time filler and shouldn't have.

RAYNOR VS. SILENT

As my grandpappy always said: if you can't baffle them with brilliance, befuddle them with bullshit. I hope a Silent vs. Raynor match takes place in the future. The large gaps in the writing at the end, just felt odd and I'm not sure if they were intenional.

Z Challenge

This was really great as the jump cuts from the backstage to the outside arena were done really well and strung well together. I am excited to read the Z vs. Silent match up, so that means the promo did its job.

MAIN EVENT

Always good to see my boss win. The action and commentary was threaded very smoothly and made the match a very slick and quick read. I think the match, overall, could have been a little more long and involved, but I'm guessing the word limit hampered you a bit. The booking of the eliminations was right. The lumberjacks brawling at the end was just wacky and I think a little too much, but it was done well.

Solid show with a lot of storylines progressing and nice matches overall. I think the show could have read cleaner and smoother from segment to segment, but that would require a lot of post editing by Stubby and coordination admist all the writers, so that's pretty unforseeable.

A time limit draw seem a little unwarranted as both men could really use the win, but we'll have to see if this winds up going anywhere in the long run. Not sure who wrote the match, joint effort maybe?

-With tight word limits I find in ring action more important than the intros. I don't know about the rest of you, but If I see a huge ass 3000 word intro, I skip it.

-No, I didn't get that memo. Who are the other refs we are supposed to use?

-I use the commentators for explaining the psychology since it was made clear that most people didn't understand my matches. Since people thought my matches were boring and needed more excitement, I use the commentary to draw attention to the highspots or tease high spots.

- I don't understand what filling out the narrative action means.

No it wasn't a joint effort, it was my match.

I posted it flatout in the Storm Card.

Ummm... just make up a name. The only other ref is Sexton.

Famous ones have been Tom McNutless and Jack IngHoff.
