Coolest Event You've Attended

Recommended Posts

Guest bob_barron

A lot of you have attened Wrestlemanias and other cool stuff. For me the coolest event I've attended was this year's Super Bowl. I got to see a great football game, see U2 live, and got to watch Rams' fans cry and I had pretty sweet seats.

So what's the coolest or your most favourite live event you've ever been to?

House show in Ft Myers on November 25, 2001. Jericho became my hero that day, and nearly started a riot. I also got to see Edge vs. Christian.

Well he came out first thing for an interview to a huge crowd pop (he had just turned heel on Monday) and was on crutches, saying he couldn't compete. Then he started dissing the crowd and stuff. I forget what he said that time. He was the guest timekeeper for the main event, Edge vs. Christian. Edge won after botched Jericho interference. Jericho did a post match attack but Edge fought him off.

After E & C had left, Jericho stayed in the ring for a good 10-15 minutes and dissed the crowd some more, and making fun of other wrestlers. A "Rocky" chant started up and he said "You can chant his name all you want, I kicked his ass on Smackdown!" Then there was this fat guy and Jericho egged him on. Someone threw a drink at him but security caught the guy. Some kid even tore up his $10 Y2J foam hand. It was insane.

Two things that I can't choose between for the best...

The 1993 MLB All-Star game at Camden Yards

and

The Summer Sanitarium show I went to on July 4th, 2000, with System of a Down, Powerman 5000, Kid Rock, Korn, and Metallica. I got a pretty wicked sunburn there, but it was all worth it.

-1999 Home Run Derby (behind the Monster during Big Mac's assault)

I WISH I could say I was at SuperBowl 36

Well the better team that day won. You can not argue that teh Pats didn't OWN the Rams in the Superbowl.

I went to 2 DMX concerts and a few Raws and Smackdowns at teh Fleetcenter. I also went to the Greenday concert in Boston where a riot nearly broke out and Greenday had to run off the stage for their lives. That was pretty fun.

I was at Raw a few months ago and we had 1 row of the elevated seats. The Hardy's did a run in on Brock. So they were like 1 feet away from me. Then later on that night some other wrestler did a run in I forgot who. But believe it or not, the best show I attended was a AAA show a couple of months ago. I don't like AAA too much but being 3 rows from the ring was awesome. Plus Esse Rios did a nice shooting Star Press and I shook La Parka's hand! Beat that!

OK... ECW came to town and I got invited to go with some kids from high school who had an extra ticket and knew I liked wrestling... so I went because it was free, not really knowing what ECW was all about.

WOW - what a night. I knew it would change my tastes in pro wrestling expecially after Shane Douglas hit the ring and said "cut the fucking music"

the main event was Dreamer/ Douglas vs the Dudleyz which was an all out brawl... Dreamer and D Von came up to where we were sitting and Dreamer smashed D Von's head off a billboard, and I got to pat Tommy on the back on two occasions then... that rocked.

I saw Sabu front row at an Indy show in town here, and shook his hand after the match - oh man did I mark out... hahaha

I saw the WHO six rows back, that was intense! A Very exciting day for me seeing the WHO, especially when Townshend did his first windmill, wow. Over 2 hrs of pure rock and roll.

It's a tie between RAW when it came to Calgary on May 28th, 2001, and the WWE house show in Red Deer on May 26th, 2002. Those were both great shows, especially the Red Deer show since I had floor seats. :D

In a wrestling context, I went to a WWA show, and WCW Thunder, which I know, is pretty weak. But seeing as I live over the Pacific, it isn't too bad.

Coincidence? I think not..

I also saw Cal Ripken hit his 400th Home Run and got a cool sticker that says I was there.

I've also went to alot of Calgary Flames, Calgary Hitmen, and Red Deer Rebels hockey games. The best one for each would have to be....

Calgary Flames vs. New Jersey Devils: March 19th, 2001

Calgary Hitmen vs. Kootenay Ice: January 6th, 2002

Red Deer Rebels vs. Calgary Hitmen: November 24th, 2001

Oh, and I also went to a WWE house show on September 11th, 1998. That was when the WWE was actually awesome to watch. The place went nuts for Austin.
