Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 On a side note...I thought back in 1992 that Steve Austin would be a Main Eventer. Of course...he was my favorite wrestler.
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 5, 2002 Report Posted August 5, 2002 Okay well again let me mention that even if you thought he'd be a main eventer, your knowing Steve (as Austin or Williams, Stunning or Stone Cold) would be a main eventer could not possibly predict that he's not an active wrestler right now. Not as an insult, just.... pff you CANT predict the future, even past a couple months, nevermind 10 years How about this, in early 1997, did you think that by the next Wrestlemania, Bret Hart would be gone, and HBK would be wrestling his final match?
Guest CanadianChris Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 As late as 1991, both Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were exclusively tag-team wrestlers (except for an aborted run by Bret in 1988). There's no way that you could figure that, even FIVE years before it happened, both would be multiple-time world champions. Hell, back then, everyone KNEW Marty was going to be the one who hit it big. This whole thread is pretty pointless. In fact, there's a whole SK article on the thesmarks.com archive that harps on that fact...go back four years and see who he said the stars of the future would be in ten years based on who from ten years previous ended up making it big then.
