Guest Michael Joel Benoit Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 So, what do you think? Do you think he has one good match left in him? I'm not sure cuz I don't think he can bump alot. But this will be a historic match just for the fact that it is Shawn Micheals Final Match Ever!
Guest Austin3164life Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 When Shawn used to wrestle full time, he used to dictate the pace of almost every match he was in, no matter who was in it, so that's why he took the extra bump or added the extra selling to a move. Now that his back is worn down, he's going to have to work the match around Triple H. Whether or not Triple H will step it up is another question.
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 Meh, he's definitely not gonna be as good as he was, but then again, he used to pull **** matches above out of his ass ALL THE TIME, so yeah, nowadays I think *** would be an accurate amount. If Vince/Flair can do it...I'd say HHH/HBK will be around there too.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 I don't think so. You've got one guy who can't have *** matches with Kurt Angle since his injury, against a guy who hasn't wrestled in years. Some people are under the impression that this will be Hogan/Rock like in crowd heat...I don't think so. A: Neither guy is in the same league of overness that Hogan and Rock were. B: Crowd heat doesn't usualyy find it's way into HHH's matches...what with the rest holds and slow spots. And HHH will be controlling the match as the heel. I don't like it's chances.
Guest godthedog Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 i'll withhold judgment for now, because it could VERY EASILY go either way. pros: in their primes, both michaels and triple h were among the best in the world. clique buddies ALWAYS take it up at least 2 notches when they work together. shawn will be the babyface (where he's best) and triple h will be the hell (where he's best). nobody's more critical of shawn than shawn. he treasures his legacy and has often said that he WOULDN'T want to get in the ring to end his career on a bad note. if he agreed to this match, he must think he's ready. cons: triple h hasn't been feeling it since his comeback in january. shawn hasn't wrestled a real match (i don't call that twa crap a real match) in 4 years. shawn's biggest asset was his bumping, and he can't rely on any of it now. i think it's slightly more likely that they'll at least put on a watchable match that can work around shawn's weaknesses, and i would mark out like a little bitch for another good hbk match, but...i honestly don't know.
