Guest y2jailbait Posted August 6, 2002 Report Posted August 6, 2002 Influences to make there characters work. The phrase "Remember the past so you will not repeat it" goes along here. Think about it like this........... HHH=The Macho Man Randy Savage from the late 80's/early 90's. He has almost the same intensity and can play both face and heel effectively. Also, seems to be overshadowed by a bigger star during there peak years (Savage/Hogan,Warrior. HHH/Rock,Austin). This is not a useless topic, or a poll or something like that. Thinking about this, it helps identify what works and what makes wrestlers over. If say Mark Henry were to adopt some of Dino Bravo's heel work as the worlds strongest man, he'd have a better chance to hit a certain core of the audience. Rob Van Dam=Ricky Steamboat. Both were made famous from there works in other promotions before hitting the WWF(E) landscape. With that being said, both are wildly popular and have unorthodox styles. Chris Jericho=Mr Perfect. Great heel competetors, in fact, they lay groud work for heels in the future. They just cant seem to be truly over in the main event as they were in the upper midcard. Think about it, and give me your opinions and make me feel less dumb about thinking so deeply into this.
