Guest Incandenza Posted August 7, 2002 Report Posted August 7, 2002 When paired with the right people, AKA Rocky Maivia can have an awesome match, but Brock ain't "the right people." Or is he? Will he bring the goods in his highest profile match to date? Or will this just be the Brock usual of power move-stall-power move-power move-stall, etc., with the WWE debut of his fabled Shooting Star Press thrown in for good measure? There was once a time when you could count on a match between two Clique members to be top notch, but, given the physical conditions of HHH and Michaels, this might just end up, to lift a phrase from a South Park episode, a CRIPPLE FIGHT~! It doesn't help matters that Shawn said on Raw last night that this would not be a wrestling match. What say you, fine people?
Guest The Ruthless Aggressor Posted August 7, 2002 Report Posted August 7, 2002 It has to be HHH vs HBK. HBK hasn't wrestled in over 4 years, and has a crippled back, he can't even take the pedigree properly, so the match will probably end with a knee to the face, and HHH is, well HHH.
Guest LooseCannon Posted August 7, 2002 Report Posted August 7, 2002 This is a sad day for me. I must admit HBK/HHH will suck more.
Guest Incandenza Posted August 7, 2002 Report Posted August 7, 2002 Personally, I think it's a no-brainer. You can talk about Shawn Michaels' perfectionism all you want, but, given the circumstances surrounding the match, the chance of HHH/HBK being even tolerable are slim. Rock/Brock will most likely be blah, but that one is more likely to surprise than the Clique member clash.
Guest converge241 Posted August 7, 2002 Report Posted August 7, 2002 HBK-HHH should be entertaining, but still disapointing if you get my gist. I dont have high expectations on Rock-Brock, so I should be surprised, pleasently
Guest goodhelmet Posted August 7, 2002 Report Posted August 7, 2002 i think the hhh-hbk match will be a complete wresck. they admitted it would be a fight to mask the horrible conditions of both men and it might kill off hbk's career for good while (hopefully) sending hunter back to the midcard (I can dream). as for rock-brock, i'm hoping brock has something to prove and actually performs above and beyond anything he's attempted so far. plus, the rock rules so here's hoping they pull it off!
