Who is the most AVERAGE wrestler out there?

In your opinion, who is the most average wrestler in terms of talent, charisma, etc. ?

 

I'm not sure, but Christian, D-Lo Brown, and American Dragon spring to mind

Am. Dragon has been in several indy MOTYCs, so he's definitely not "average."

 

D'Lo is what I'd call the most "Above Average" wrestler ever, he's got good, but not great promo skills, and has been in many ***+ matches in his career.

 

Christian is a very good promo guy, and his involvement in TLC disqualifies him.

 

My vote for "most average" currently would have to Chuck Palumbo.

 

To go a little further back in the past, I'd say Tito Santana or Rick Martel.

I heard that John Cena was impressive in OVW but he seems blah in the WWF. I think that some wrestlers seem average due to a lack of proper charachter development.

I think Hardcore Holly's pretty average. His "Super Heavyweight" gimmick was pretty funny, but other than that, he has had nothing special.

I haven't seen too many of his matches from Am Dragon. What I've seen from him hasn't impressed me too much. I've heard he's good, so I'll track down more stuff from him, and if I see something that makes him above-average, I'll come to this thread and take back what I said about him being average

i do think american dragon has an avergae Look but he Definitly isn't and average wrestler, his matches with Low Ki and Chris Daniels in Ring of Honor are amazing.......

I will say Hardcore Holly, even if he seems to be more above average, if unspectacular, in a lot of areas, instead of just average.

Jeff Jarrett and Christian both stand out to me due to their promos, although they may contain several instances of cheap heat. But remember, cheap heat is better than no heat. With that in mind, the most average wrestlers to me are...

 

-- Randy Orton (he brings NOTHING to the table other than legacy...which isn't even all that great of a legacy. It's not like he's Harley Race's son or anything.)

-- Crash Holly

-- Hardcore Holly (although Tough Enough did a great deal for him)

-- John Cena (get a personality already)

-- The Big Valbowski (Val Venis was cool...Valbowski is just boring)

-- Faarooq (without Bradshaw, he only stands out for being one of the, like, four Black guys in WWE)

Randy Orton I mean good god kid get some charisma or a fake cast for your arm B) , other then that I'd say Randy Orton's very slightly above average as a wrestler hell he had a decent match with Taker a few months back. But then again The Rock had no charisma when he started look where he is now and how can Randy Orton not be a success when he has Barry O has his uncle

I think that The Rock is an average (slightly above) wrestler. His charisma has been fundamental to his career's success. Other than that, I would have to say Val Venis and Hardcore Holly are average. They're not bad wrestlers, they're solid, but nothing makes them stand out and go above average.

I think that The Rock is an average (slightly above) wrestler. His charisma has been fundamental to his career's success.

I think you could argue rock from a workrate standpoint, but his workrate isn't above or below that of any wwe main eventer. And charisma definitely contributes to how good a worker you are. The reason guys like holly and venis are average is that their charisma doesn't stand out.

This is the part where I eat my words about American Dragon. I saw the triple threat match with him, Daniels and Low-Ki from ROH, and needless to say, it RULED~! I'd give it like ****1/4 or so, only because Daniels vs. Low-Ki was way better

Most average? Brock Lesnar. He's just yet another Vanilla Hoss . There's nothing "special" about the guy. His matches aren't really great, he dosen't pop or excite the crowd, and he's goofy looking.

 

Bob Holly. Nothing about him is very..exciting. He's bland.

 

Val Venis I can stand, because he's a better wrestler than a lot of the midcarders. Besides, I mark for the Blue Thunder bomb and the Fisherman's Suplex.
