Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 What a waste of a match. Cut out the girls and add 10 more minutes
Guest Nevermortal Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 How does a troll like Billy Kidman get Torrie Wilson? DAWN ASS~!
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 I'm actually finding this SD! to be bearable Which probably means it was a 'Grand Slam' for the WWE I love looking at NOBODY STANDING AT ALL when these mad face pops show up
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Is he 29? 49? 52? I want answers!
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Oh yeah, forgot to mention, Kurts Promo = Gold
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 I swear Hollywood Hulk Hogan was the BEST idea in recent memory. As a heel, Hogan's not only bearable, he's actually watchable. His promos are FAR better.... *sigh* Fuck Nostalgia, for so many reasons
Guest CanadianChris Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Oh my GOD, this match is gonna suck.

His promos are FAR better.... *sigh* Despite it not working w/ the marks, you cold say the same about Heel Austin

Now that we have the Hulkamania revival, it was cool at first, but now it's burned out as well.
Guest CanadianChris Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 We need a way to transplant Hogan's following on one of the younger guys. This crowd is NUTS.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 It's nice to be able to say even Hulk Hogan did something better than Steve Austin. ..all is right with the world now..
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 My god, I think Brock *actually* got some heat from that. But he basically killed Hogan and ate his brains, so I'd hope so. Of course, if he had just grabbed a mic after the chairshot, and simply defused the Rocky chants with something like "Your precious Rocky isn't here tonight to save Hogan, and at Summerslam...this...is what I do to him. SO SAYS THE BROCK!" ...okay, drop the last part, but really. WWE guys need to learn how to grab a mic and improv when the situation fits.

Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 The Kidman/Torrie Wilson vs. Noble/Nidia match was a waste, as the women were the ones mostly going at it, and Brock vs. Hogan obviously was boring and dragged out.
Guest candie45 Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Kind of funny... Smackdown thread has 3 pages, Raw thread has what, 48? Anyway, I actually kind of enjoyed SD. Probably because I thought it was going to be horrible. But all in all I enjoyed most of the matches and there were no long, boring 20 minute promos. Kind of neat seeing new matches and the future pulling the shows together instead of the oh so wonderful Bradshaw/Austin vs the nWo matches we were seeing every week for a month a while back.
Guest razazteca Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Kind of funny... Smackdown thread has 3 pages, Raw thread has what, 48 maybe its because the JETS are playing? Is Smackdown being blocked out and moved to the weekend for the East Coast?
Guest Incandenza Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Heel Austin was entertaining as he was a completely different character: paranoid and needy. Heel Hogan cut promos just like the old Hogan, but targeted at different people. That = boring.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 I dunno..I got tired of Heel Austin the third time out of 784,506 he did the "My name is..blah blah blah.." spiel.
Guest Incandenza Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 I dunno..I got tired of Heel Austin the third time out of 784,506 he did the "My name is..blah blah blah.." spiel. Yeah, but he stopped that soon enough and started with the "What?" thing, which ceased to be amusing when he turned face.
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 I dunno..I got tired of Heel Austin the third time out of 784,506 he did the "My name is..blah blah blah.." spiel. Thats actually why I liked it, it pissed people off. Thats what heels are supposed to do
Guest Incandenza Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 I loved the whole line: "My name is Stone Cold Steve Austin, I'm the WWF Champion and I don't deserve this!"
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Whoa.... just getting it now. I just saw John Cena in tights that looked GOOD! wh00! Eddie Guerrero on the mic, esse!
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Hmmmm.... hints of a future Angle/Benoit feud?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 All right! The Good Reverend in action... against Mark Henry? Well... we'll see. I bet the only reason for this match was to set up a Batista thing post-match with "Look at the strength of Batista, that's 300 lbs into a spinebuster!"
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 DAMMIT! The only thing worse than Mark Henry winning a match is Rikishi making an appearance post-match
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Yea, kick the fat man's fatter ass Batista!
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 9, 2002 Report Posted August 9, 2002 Wha? Noooo! What's with the WWE and Superkicks as finishers?! Oh well... hints of a Batista/Reverend split. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Brock & Heyman. "What are we doing? What are we doing?" it's like that old cartoon with the little dog and the big one.
