Guest Pegasus Kid Report post Posted September 11, 2002 Capcom vs SNK2, i beat Geese down to a slither of energy, so i go for my super, but for some reason i can seem to pull it off! After desperatley wrestling with my controller Geese throws me a couple of times and RISING STORM~! Its over... Um... It's "Raging Storm." Anyway; I lost to a girl for the first time ever last week playing 3rd Strike. Nothing hurts more than winning tournaments in a game only to have some total stranger (a girl no less who I'd never seen playing 3S before anywhere in town) beating you. Guest papacita Report post Posted March 13, 2003 THREAD REVIVAL~! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Anyway, I'm playing as my CAW Panther in season mode of SD: SYM, and up until No Mercy 2003, I had been *dominating* everybody I've faced. Seriously. I destroyed The Rock, Benoit, HHH, Austin, Angle and Hogan multiple times over, easily won the Royal Rumble (eliminating about 12 or 13 people), and had about 15 successful Undisputed Title defenses...before losing the title to *THE BIG SHOW*! THE FUCKING BIG SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of all people...the Big Show! Can you believe that?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Back in Madden 2001 for the PS2, I was Green Bay against Minnesota up 24-21 at home, with the ball on the goal line and 0:03 left in the 4th. I wanted to get another TD for Favre to pad his stats so I go for a short screen to Ahman Green in the endzone. Minnesota picks it off and runs 102 yards for the game winning TD. EDIT: I should add that it was 1st down and I seriously thought about kneeling, but changed my mind at the last second.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted March 13, 2003 My biggest Fluke lose was in SYM. I was in the KotR and playing as my CAW Nightmare. I'm a freaking deft defying luchadore; dismantling everything there is. I'm like <insert best luchadore here> on a true World Title push. Anyway, so I'm going into the finals and face off against Test. So I'm totally destroying him into nothingness, but it went back and forth because one of his buddies decided to show up (Lance Storm). So I pound his ass to the outside and figured that I'd just bitch slap him with the Overdrive and finish things up. Next thing, the bastard enters the ring and nails me with the Big Boot. I'm laid flat out and just gawking at the TV as 1, 2, 3 pinning happens. I didn't know that there was a move that didn't need someone to be groggy. To this day, anytime I face Test, I always make sure I destroy him complete. Thankfully Test didn't win the Undisputed Title.
Guest WukenBloodstar Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Giant Gram 2000. I was playing with my fav guy (Jun Akiyama) against Stan Hansen..at about 30 minutes in(had the time set for 60 minutes) I use the Exploder Rush and then hit him with a Exploder 98 and then a top rope exploder. I was just wanting to make him tap, so I keep giving him DDT's, Exploders and such..as I go for a tombstone, he wiggles out..whips me into the ropes and BAM! Western Lariat..The only person to beat me besides Giant Baba...how cruel. So I picked Kenta and beat him retarded and won with three straight Burning Hammers. Guest Plushy Al Logan Report post Posted March 13, 2003 I keep talking about it since I remembered it, but I'm still trying to figure out why HHH jobbed to Shreak in SD3, both guys were CPU.
Guest Breetai Report post Posted March 14, 2003 SD2, Misawa vs. HHH. I'm dominating the whole match, he has like 1/2cm of his special bar charged the entire match. I hit the rolling elbow, emerald fusion and TD'91. I go up top for a frog splash to finish him. He rolls out of the way at the last moment, and in the split second that I'm on the ground from the frog splash he rolls me over and gets the pin. HHHeld down again. Guest KanadianKrusty Report post Posted March 15, 2003 Fluke win in Fire Pro D: Kenta Kobashi (me) vs. Satoshi Kojima in an Exploding cage deathmatch, I had a 60-minute time limit and I had set the cage to explode at 30 minutes. So it was pretty much back and forth for the whole match and at the 25 minute mark we were both really beat up but we hadn't used our big moves yet. A few moments later we were still exchanging blows and then BANG!, Koji Cutter out of nowhere and I'm like "fuck, it's over", then I look at the clock: 30:00. WOOHOO!, I somehow get up, Orange Crush, 1-2-3, good night.
Guest ElectricRaccoon Report post Posted March 16, 2003 I don't know if it's a fluke so much as a lapse in attention, but it's still infuriating and damn near ruined my childhood on several occasions (Nintendo cred really meant more to my group than it should have). Getting hit by one of the goddamn pieces of a boss ship in 1943! Nothing like beating the boss, but losing that last notch of energy to the debris.
