Uh...in-depth comments come later.

Well, it took a 31 hour nap, and an 103-degree fever did it, but I no-showed for the first time, and now I feel like shit, as I lost my belt so soon...but JD no longer holds a record, and I DO AS THE SHORTEST CHAMP EVER! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Anyhoo...congrats to Danny, and Raynor/Silent, who's match was that?

Reading now...

Son of a bitch!

Sigh... next time... read the match descriptions more carefully. Q to Stubby: Did you knock my match heavily off for failing to follow directions, and if so, had I written it elimination-style, would I have won?

Urk, Thoth, that was a careless mistake, that anyone could have made...but bah, it just was made at most likely the worst time possible, which sucks.

Anyhoo, I'm sure your match would have AT LEAST come close had it followed the rules, hell, possibly even winning.

Wilson-wise, I was pretty confident that he wouldn't win here, as he told me that his match was a pretty rushed spot-a-thon.

I am STILL looking forward to an eventual one-on-one Edwin-Wilson match where both are 100%, and there are no clusterfuck endings messing with it. Same goes for Thoth-Edwin...and Edwin-TNT too. :P

Urk...otherwise, so far from what I read, decent match with JD, but I think Z could have won had he showed, and Tom churned out a great match, that if I had been able to write, and not been sick, I think I could at least come close to. Also, again, great match from Danno, and Frost too.

"Hard to say Thoth, because if you wrote elimination style it would have been a totally different match.

Your match was good, and definitely not the worst of the 3 (although worst isn't a good choice of words since they were all quality matches), but the decision was close and yes...not writing the correct stip was a deciding factor.

So check your stips people...especially when it's an important match.

Now that people, was a promo heavy show!

Nice little vignettes. Bo returning and joining <Censored read the show you sluts>

What!!? Erek Taylor is looking to start something!? Well he chose the wrong person/group! We already messed up half of you niners... Lerrin will finish you off. ;)

Speaking of Lerrin, nice match from him... ending seemed a little rushed. Sacred scores the W over Renegade.

I hope you like my ultra late hardcore match... I think it had some ok spots.

Frost and Deathwish/Strangler with some solid wins... TBS = teh suq

TNT would you please suck my nuts! And Flesher... I may have to win my title off you for the fourth time! The difference is, I never lost that title three times! BONG!!!

An unknown assailant with a first person promo? I know who it is. :D

Let's see... what else was there. Ah yes, Silent/Raynor. Now I did mark this match, and believe me, it was a tough decision. I REALLY loved the ending of Raynor's... but if Silent posted his match... he had an awesome little storyline. It was a seriously tough decision.

And of course the Main Event. Edwin I swear keeps getting better and better, and he's already the best! An awesome title defense that got Thoth over like a funky money, but at the same time, gives Wilson a complete reason for a rematch! A great match by the champ but I wish he Union Jacked Thoth... that would have rocked!

Congrats to Edwin and Flesher, welcome back Bo. I'm heading out here, so that's going to be the extent of the comments for now. I'll post my match a little later.

Though Edwin and his double-teaming is just dastardly cheating! Cheating good enough for a reason to get a rematch. Muhahaha...eVil brain a-workin'

TNT, you're such a sissy. Ooo...200-degree temperature. Everyone else here could easily beat Tom in that condition. Pansy-man.

Zing! A healthy show. Storylines have been perused, matches have been skimmed, and I must say: some potent returns, some surprising victories, but most importantly: POT THIEF!!!

Seriously, though. What an AWESOME segment to end the show. I frickin' love the angle.

I've only read the opening match so far, but wow, that was good. One of the best matches I've ever seen Raynor pull out--crisp, efficient, and clever all the way through. Constant and consistent selling on the arm injury, judicious and subtle use of the strap, and a really smart finish that gets everyone over in a unique way. That reversal into the match "finish" was a thing of beauty. Man, sorry Silent, but these crazy Carnies have been pulling out their best ammunition lately.

More comments to come l-l-l-l-later.

A great match by the champ but I wish he Union Jacked Thoth... that would have rocked!

I wanted to JD, I really did...but I was about to write it when the finish I ended up using popped into my head, and I thought it was too cool to not use. Heh heh. If I had another 500 words, I would have had Thoth reverses the Air MacPhisto into a superplex, go for another Riot of the Blood, but have Edwin reverses it into the corkscrew brainbuster suplex, then hit the Union Jack. But hey, what I ended up with was probably more efficient and clever anyway, so bully to the word limit for actually doing its thing and reigning me in for once. Next time though, heads and upper backs will be a rollin'.

I'll get to comments after the Sox game today (watching Pedro and Lowe pitch live in the same week: priceless), but I'd just like to say that Danny did the vast majority of the writing for our match. I dashed off a quick intro, and edited a lot of his commentary, but he wrote all the wrestling himself, and I thought he did a spectacular job on it. Great job, Danny.

---> Bo returns in fine form - had me fooled until the end.

---> Erek Taylor stole Stubby's pot? ... this should be interesting. Could this lead to the epic "Dimebag on a pole" match?

---> My match was good? I didn't think too much of it - me and Silent were both in chat arguing over whose match sucked more (he said his, I said mine)... I'll be checking out his momentarily...

---> JD wins AGAIN? Where the hell is Grimedogg when you need him?

Really great show it was a monster in size...

read most of it and here are the Franchisable comments.

Raynor wrote a hell of a match and sold his injuries like a champ, a nice win for the Rayn man but Silent no selling the choke out after the finish was interesting...when I saw it I was more like oh come on then wow. But I thought it over and couldn't think of any other way to set up the after match stuff. So great stuff.

And Silent the after match stuff was nice. With the imagery it seemed like Silent kinda crucified Raynor to the turnbuckle or ropes. That was definitely cool and Z making the quasi-save made sense.

Frost is a bad man who won. I'd like to see this feud develop more as it was a top JL story. It was a typical Frost match that showed he's a damn good writer. I thought Tod might pull the upset but Frosty is one mean dude.

The Strangler Erek stuff went well promo and match wise. This is such a great feud. I love how in one of those promos Erek told Strangler to go chase after Fallout and leave him alone. It changes the direction of this feud for beat downs and trash talk to mindgames. I can see the mindgames now as it looks like Strangler set Taylor up with the weed.

LDP intros BO, didn't see that coming although I saw the turn coming later. It was still effective though because Bo as a face after he broke Thugg's neck couldn't of happened. Damn the CC is looking strong.

For being superior Flesher shall the next WFer I shill in a lowly JL match. TNT you should have just toughed it out, drunk some 'Tussen as it cures everything even 102 degree temperatures and busted out a superior to superior title defense. ;) Sucks that you got ill and no-showed for the first time. Anyways Flesher great commentary and match as always. Can't wait to see a match between you and TNT again.

Breggan is a monster nuff said and the Stubby part in the punk out of Hardy was gold.

The main event was booked correctly in the elimination for an Edwin win. Damn I didn't see Air MacPhisto coming at all. And a Wilson rematch is very possible after a double team cradle piledriver. Wilson could really work with that as his two pins have been a roll up and double team.

All right, and now it's time for my comments on SWF Total Waste of Time.

And what a show it was. XF9 doesn't have a very good night at all...

Blarrrgh at losing my frickin' tag match...

And did anyone really think Bo was going to join XF9? Of course not. Because the first promo was supposed to be at the *beginning* of the show to help build suspense for the second!

ARRGH!

Sorry guys. I skimmed the show when I woke up this morning, and it just set the mood for my entire day... and at work my mood went from bad to worse.

I'll come back later when I've had some time to chill out.

Yea, I was kinda worried about how I ended it. I wanted to show the win or lose aspect as completely inconsequential to Silent at that point, he just wants to hurt Raynor. So he gets into a choke, and decides to take the loss. As you can probably tell, he came out on top in the end.

OK, I've cooled a bit (just a bit) and have read through the show a bit more closely, and so here are some extended comments.

Storm kicked off with Raynor/Silent, and Silent picking up his first singles loss in the WF.. but wait... what the... there's a surprise. Nice outing by Chris Raynor who puts Silent over big time.

Silent beatdown promo follows. I didn't find this one too exciting overall, but it had a good shock value comment at the end. The saga continues.

And Ash returns, sparking an expected feud with Frost.

Strangler really is a nutjob.

XF9 gets their first lost, but not their last, as Frost makes short work of Tod deKindes.

JD over Z... good stuff but too bad Z didn't show.

Like I said, Strangler is a nutjob.

Good return match from Sacred as he defeats... um... Renegade.

And what the hell? Our match lost to this? It was a one sided battle! My grandmother could have defended herself better than Pete and Erek did here. Strike one.

And here's Bo's first promo. I'm still miffed that it didn't open the show like it was supposed to. It ended up looking weird, as Pete got his ass kicked in the match before and then was standing outside in the parking lot like nothing was wrong. It also advertised "upcoming" matches that had already happened. Also, this far into the show, it didn't have the intrigue value it would have had at the beginning. Sorry, Bo, probably wasn't your fault, but strike two.

Flesher becomes the second three-time US champ with a win over TNT. Don't worry... soon TNT will be feeling better and kicking ass once again.

Stubby's weed is missing? What the fuck?

Ooh, big mystery man returning. I think I know who it is.

As expected, Lerrin has his way with Annie.

And there's the swerve as Bo joins CC and hands LDP his second major ass kicking of the night. Nice work by Bo to kick off an all out war between XF9 and Creative Control.

Edwin retains! I really didn't think he'd hang on to it this time. I was really looking forward to this match, but I was a little disappointed when I finally got to it. Maybe it's just how I felt about the show in general clouding my judgment.

Once again... what the fuck? Stubby's weed is stolen? I think I know where this is going, but don't care too much for the setup.

That caps the show, and it looks like CC cleaned up, winning all three of their matches, but XF9 gets shut out in an oh-for-four effort. Strike three.

All in all, there were some good matches on the card that could have made this show worth reading, but for me, some promo problems, nitpicks, and one match I really, really didn't care for, merely left this show floundering like a bad taste in my mouth. Sorry to be so negative, but damn, that disappointed me.

Interesting, Pete. I myself really like the setup...the idea of someone doing something simple to frame the guy who's been able to get one-up on him at every turn really impresses me, and if it was Strangler who did it (power of dramatic irony says: yes!), he just brought the feud to a whole new level, and proved that he can play tricks that are even more brutal than the High-Flying Prince's. You do a moonsault off the Smarktron, I trick 4 guys into kicking your ass...I like it. Of course, if it's a swerve, and it was actually stolen by the returning Stone Froze Jack Houston, then I'll deeeefinitely share your sentiments.

Gonna go finish reading the show now, but I had to hop in with my utter appreciation at this angle again.

Comentos extendos.

-We open with that rockin' strap match. Already talked about my love for this one earlier, but man, I'll say it again. After reading Silent's match, this was hella close, but Raynor's had that extra zip. Way to go caveman! The post-match promo was short, effective, and had that chilling ending, and we're definitely gonna have to follow up on that ASAP.

-Ash returns! Short and simple return promo, and while I really don't think Frost is the type to use the phrase "fuckhole," it's good to see you back in action.

-First of scheming Strangler's promos. This was EXACTLY the sort of thing I was hoping here, some subtle tweak in the Strangler/Erek dynamic to kick it up again. Tonight's promo and angle have me loving this feud a lot--you guys are doing an excellent job of extending it for a second month. The one that came at the very end of the show was chilling, and a "Oh man, Erek got set up!" revelation...is gooood.

-Bobby Riley sings "Jive Soul Bro"? Thank you, Frost. Favorite spot was the blow axehandle to the outside--a simple move gone awry was devastating. Good match--moved a little fast, but that's part of the trick with 3500 word matches. One thing I'd like to see evolve is commentary style--it always seems very isolated, and seems to follow the "A says something, and B responds and finishes with a joke" pattern. I think the match would have had more of an impact with the announcers doing some extra work to put over maneuvers with a little more discussion. Solid return to singles action, though.

-Hardcore defense number bajillion in rapid succession for Jay Dawg, who has found one hell of a niche. This match didn't seem as innovative as JD's more recent outings; a lot of the hardcore battle was just assorted thing-shots, like chairshots, cookie sheet shots, and so on. Both men took a real nice amount of punishment, but a little something felt off here. The theme of "jump off stuff and drop people onto them violently," however, was delectable. (Y) at nasty front suplexes.

-Strangler's second promo. More goodness. This nutjob's got smarts.

-The huge night for CC continues as Sacred gets back on track. Without computer problems, without nasty timezones, cripes, him and Lerrin sure did a lot better. Sacred looks to be back in full form, once again showing off some of the best commentary we've got. Solid sequences punctuated by concise, effectivie elucidation of effect by announcers = ace. High drama throughout, and just great pacing: the constant assault on the ribs made Renegade look like a champ, and Sacred's methodical counters (Black Number One, Spanish Inquisition) to get things back under control were nice. The story here seemed to be upstart rookie vs. angry, rebounding veteran, and I dug it. Extended count before the pin also reminded us of the utter nastiness that is the Cruel Fate. A very solid match on all levels.

-Now, this was a match I was really interested in reading, after hearing that Danny wrote the whole thing and Strangler edited it.

Riley: Dammit, it just isn’t fair! Why does everyone drop Williams on his head? I bet it’s MacPhisto’s fault…

Ee hee hee. I've started a revolution! In the end, I think this combination was a smart one: Danny, who's awesome at wrestling sequences, handles that, while Strangler, who's got some sizzling commentary words to go with his smasharoonie antics, covers the edit...the finished product was very smooth, and seemed like it could have come from one author. There was one really confusing typo sequence in the center where "Pete" replaced "Strangler," but otherwise, cohesive. Taking that all into account, this has got to be one of Danny's best, an excellent management of four characters with exciting action AND LOTS OF ELBOWS! throughout. I think the elbows have gotten over at this point, and they're seeping into my brain--I type "throws an elbow" by default as my standard "reverse-out" spot now. Zing. I can see where Pete's criticism of XF9 getting squashed might come into play, perhaps in the last thousand words...and while I do think that M7 dominated that part of the match, there at least was a good reason: they prevented Erek from making the hot tag, and so he was a heap while Pete was struggling to hold off two still relatively fresh men. Sidenote: Plunge off the apron? Damn, Danny. You's sick. Really good tag match.

-Bo is back! The Perfect One returns (woo!), and it looks like he's going to side with XF9...but as we guessed, that wouldn't last too long. Too bad this didn't hit at the beginning of the show--that plus another vignette before the big one could have built some mega-tension. Ah, well. The general effect was still there. When Bo came out and turned later on, I did picture a really sizzling in-ring scene, even if I was itching for the turn the whole time. 3 big wins and a big new member...CC did quite well this night.

-Tom Flesher gets his 1st title back, thanks to the unfortunate Fever-Death of one Taylor Nicholoson Thompson...but we shouldn't let that take away from another Superior Offering from Tom. The index card is getting better and better, and Flesher continues to fire on all cylinders. As usual Flesher's match had me rolling with laughter and oohing with impressed-osity. This had everything a rematch should: surprises, history, and both men still looking real good. If TNT gets his temperature under 100 any time soon, I would be stoked to see a PPV confrontation between these two, where they can have free reign. Me gusta.

-Don't know who the mystery guy is, but that was a good little deal. Reveal soon, cause I'm excited...

-CC goes 3-0 on the night with Lerrin Breggan pulling out a big win. A very simple conflict of speed vs. power, but it definitely worked. Having Annie dominate the early goings with her speed was an interesting twist on the usual formula. The unorthodox moves Annie pulled out, like sitting on Lerrin's back while he tried to push up...for some reason, they really felt like Annie to me. Maybe because they were...eclectic? Oh, ho ho. JD coming out at the finale and Lerrin's post-match promo really turned this one up a notch for me. Boom, chaka laka.

-And all that's left to see is my main event. Maybe the toughest defense I've had to write, knowing how good Wilson and Thoth are and how much they were gunning for this. I thought my finish was a biiit rushed, but I'm pretty confident that the build up to the first elimination was some of my better work. Hope you all enjoyed.

A show with ups and downs, two big angles (the framing of Erek and Bo's return) underscoring everything, and a pretty good overall package.

To clear one thing up. I did write the commentary in the match. Strangler did an excellent job of touching it up though(same lines just better wording), and he even added a joke in the end. And I'am very flattered that people can't tell the difference, it shows that I'am really improving in my weakest department.

As for Pete complaining about being squashed, I apologize if it came off that way. But if you look close, both you and Eric came out looking great in this match.

I've really been making an effort to make MY character look weak against the vets, since that's only logical. I established in the first seconds of the match, that I was no match for Pete. And that in the end it takes two men and one of the deadliest tag team moves in history to take him out. But even than, he's holding on and making an effort to break up the pin.

Taylor makes Strangler his bitch throughout the whole match(at Strangler's request actually). In the end it takes a cheap shot, and a sick spot from the illegal man(Plunge from Apron) to knock the fighting spirit out of him. BTW, thats Akira Taue's famous spot, so he's the sick one. As well as the Backdrop Driver/Chokeslam move, being invented by Kawada and Taue.

So what that means, is that neither one of us can handle you guys one on one. M7 won because they were willing to bend the rules more and take cheap shots that the faces passed on. The ending was one sided, but it should have been since our team won. I hate fluke endings and finishers out of the ass. They can work sometimes, but not every match has to end with one.

Oh and I'am glad you liked the match, Edwin.

LATE MATCH REVIEW!

TNT vs. Flesher

rating:****

I swear, Flesher is pioneering a completely new wrestling style. It's like UWF worked Shoot style meets the New Japan Junior style, and I really love it .

The begining was awesome with the Shotei vs. Lariat theme. And of course in the "reality accourding to Jushin Lyger" that Flesher apparently lives in, the Shotei wins. But he can't get the pin that way, so Flesher takes TNT to the mat. Smooth transition from the Crab to the STF.

But Flesher's obession with the fans, leads to him taking a German. Nice "Flaw in Character" Transtion. TNT than goes to work on the arm, maybe he FEARS the Shotei. Typical Low blow transition, which from what I've read in the SWF, I'am really getting bored with.

Another problem I have with the match is how they start over after each pin attempt. Use a chinlock or anything to keep the action going, because it kills the match flow IMO. But that's a minor problem. Next, Flesher kicks out TNT's leg and locks on the Superior Stretch. You could have easily kept the match going, by just doing that after the low blow. Oh well, it still works.

TNT does a cool reversal, which is way better than the typical struggle and reach the ropes spot. Than they start over AGAIN, and Flesher kicks the shit out of TNT. Pin gets 2. They start over AGAIN, and TNT's lariat finally beats the Shotei. Maybe the arm work finally paid off.

Cute spot where Flesher tries to fight back with his shin kicks, but he's too weak to hurt TNT. TNT goes for the Tiger Driver, but Flesher back body drops him off. That spot would have been so much cooler, if you brought up that TNT had trouble lifting Flesher because of the leg. But "in theory" it works very well.

The Shotei's again come into play, to beautifully set up the Backdrop Driver. And after taking that move, the match is over and rightfully so. The Unprettier setting up the Ego Buster is also very smooth.

Overall: The pacing stands out the most. GREAT pacing, with all the big moves being saved until the action packed climax. I also like how the stirkes serve as more than just transition, but further the match and play a role in the outcome. Very early 90s All Japan. It's safe to say the Shotei's are VERY OVER, and I can only hope to get the elbows over that well.

RAYNOR VS. SILENT

-I commend Raynor for still selling the hellacious injuries from War Games (considering we make him sell them in our tag match tonight). Nice job of subtley using Riley to get the burdening wedge between Chris and Edwin over. You should have had Funyon go over the rules for the strap match, because I coldn't remember what set you were going by. I notice Matthew Kivell is the ref. Did he come back after JD fired him and I missed the promo or what's the deal with that angle? "Arm-Dragon Scew takedown?" Isn't that just an armbar? I think you could have done a lot more with the strap, but choking Silent out with it for the win was a good spot. The match as a whole does a nice job in getting Silent over and playing off the arm injury in getting Raynor over by not giving up. That building of his character had me marking out for him by the end and made the win believable in my mind, where logical booking says Silent goes over to play into the push he is recieiving. Having Silent playing opossum and then jumping Chris at the end seemed really, really stupid me. Why do that? If winning meant nothing and he just wanted to hurt him, why not just jump him and beat his brains out before the match?

POST MATCH BEATDOWN

-I really can't say this storyline is intriguing me. Nothing against the writers or the way it's being played out, I just can't seem to get my mind wrapped around what's going on. Maybe the payoff will make me go back and reread everything and if so, then good, we'll see.

ASH RETURNS

-I love Riley's response to Ash being back, very Heenan. Although I ask again, what channel is Storm on that Riley can say shit six hundred times? I don't think you captured Frost's character quite right, but I have done much promoing up here yet, so I can understand that you don't have much to go on. If TNT and I win the tag belts tonight, I say grab a partner and step right up, if not, I'll kick your ass soon enough.

STRANGLER PROMO

-I really like what TBS is doing with his character, although this promo felt like running in place. Get in the ring and back it up, my man.

FROST VS. TOD

-I think I'm really developing a distinct style, but I'm still grappling with merging my storytelling and wrestling writing together well. This as you can tell was a wrestling focused match and I think subtley plays off of the history Tod and Frost have without really blowing it out or proportion. I think the ending could have been another 1000 words, but I had to play what I was dealt and that actually lead to me editing the encounter very tightly which I believe probably assisted me to the win.

JD VS. Z

-I think more could have been done with the intros, they felt too rushed and their was no transition from the last break. I like the bit where JD throws the belt down and has Z look at it, cool touch. Handing Z the mic was sort of stupid, but I can see where it plays into JD's cockiness and him overlooking Z as serious competition. A little too much wrestling to start for a Hardcore match, but I always like how JD doesn't sacrifice real wrestling for mindless brawling. Although with a character like Z, goofier weapon spots and more brawling would have worked. Getting the cookie sheet wrapped around his head and innertube was a step in the right direction though. I once wrote a match where Z got his head stuck in a bucket. You could have done a little more with the commentary to get the match over. However, another fun read and I dare say that JD is the hottest writier in the SWF after Edwin right now.

STRANGLER/TAYLOR PROMO

-Great chemistry and makes me what to see how events play out. Strangler's character is becoming so nuianced and unhinged and it's good for Taylor to clearly see this and point it out. TBS is quickly becoming my favorite character based on the complex deveopment he's undergoing.

RENEGADE VS. SACRED

-Nice job by the announcers the build the match up and recap recent events during the intros. I think not having the match start, because Renegade didn't enter the ring is a little cheesy. It might be accurate, but it's still seems a little awkward to me. I like how you commentary threads smoothly through the action. Nothing special or really grabbed, but solid and well paced.

XF9 VS. MAG 7

-I hope Steinbrenner paid you for the Expos joke at the end. For a man that picks up players like he's buying them out of the Sears catalogue I don't think he should be complaining about not getting one single guy he wanted. I don't mind the Yankees, but Steinbrenner can go screw himself with Chyna's dick. With that out of my system, Williams (who I believe wrote most of the match) delivers his usual excellent ring work with TBS evident in puncing up the dialogue and some of the description. As TNT and I balance each other out to make a good team, I think the same could happend here.

BO RETURNS

-Obviously this promo was meant to lead off the night, but didn't. Force 9 sounds odd, XF9 or just saying "the group" would be better. Not knowing Bo's character, I couldn't really see the turn later and I think more could have been done in setting up why Bo has returned and why would join XF9 and why that could be concievable.

TNT VS. FLESHER

-The opener is so very TNT. Nice swerve in making me think he won, if that was your intentions. I know it's hard with heel vs. heel matches, but why would Riley pick Flesher over TNT? A predilection toward Tom could have been more established there. Again, Deathwish's review above says more than I ever could so defer to it. And I can't wait until he does one of my matches.

STUBBY GETS HIS WEED STOLEN

-All can I say is that at least it's not a Japanese shampoo commercial. I like Stubby chewing out Hardy though, subtley funny bit.

BO PROMO

-Wow! So literary and well written. I was just impressed by the sheer writing ablity displayed here. The overall promo was a little vague though, but was probably meant to be.

I don't have enough time or engery to give the last two matches the proper consideration they need, so I'll have to skip them for now.
