Well, tough break on the loss, but I see exactly where he defeated me. :( A rematch before the PPV would be a privledge.

New champs in the ICTV and Tag division. Nicely done, guys.

And my boys Lerrin and Bo pick up some wins. More comments when I get off work.

Who rocks the house?

The Magnificent Seven rock the house.

And when the Magnificent Seven rock the house,

they rock it all the way down.

BOOM!

Congrats to Chilly Chilly Bang Bang, and go me, and now its time for some in-depth show reading. CC's wins at the top of the card look like great reads as well. Nice work, everybody.

wow, I knew I'd lose to Bo, but not that way. A touch dissapointing, but my ending wasn't good enough to carry my unspectacular match. Again.

JD, loses to Silent, and I could kill JD right now. If I luck out, and actually take the strap off him, I probably end up drawing Silent first. Godlike bumpee v. Returning jobber. Fuck.

And jeebus wilson.... hate to tell you but that's THE WRONG BELT!!! You wan't -Edwin's- belt..... oh well.

more comments after I beat the shit out of a wall.... argh....

NOTE: Danny, if you could puh-leeeeeeeze write one of your "actual wrestling content" reviews for our tag match, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Hope you have time to, thanks either way. I LOVE that style of review.

one loss away from .500 ... shit, coming from the JL where every match I wrote was a winner to this. ugh.

although, If I do hit .500 at least my two records will be equal in opposites. That's kinda cool. Not enough for me to willingly job my next match, but at least a small comfort.

First off I would like to thank Xero for writing the first 2000 words of our match, and somehow sending the damn thing in on time when I was so late with finishing my part. I also wasn't happy with the way my ending turned out, but it was tons of cool high spots so at least it was fast and entertaining.

Just writing a measily 2000 words for Smarkdown was damn hard, and I hope I can continue doing it when school starts back up in two weeks.

I will defiently write a match review for the Tag Title match when I have the time.

Also please book me in a singles match for Storm.

Rats. Last reign was five days. This one was seven. I guess I am doomed to be the transitional ICTV Champion.

Oh well. It's probably for the best anyway, as I'll have to take some time off soon. Speaking of which, I need to PM Stubby and Thugg.

Honestly speaking, how did I win? Not sure, because time was a major factor with me... I told Stubby, but he probably forgot that I could not write for Smarkdown because I take care of my daughter, somehow I got to put something together and it was good enough to defeat Annie.

Lerrin kicks ass but JD is the first one to lose to Silent (What happen JD?)

Mag 7 stole the show as WIlson wins the ICTV title...

It was a good show I think...

Wow, new tag teams and that Xero and (Danny) I think group are pretty good...

Well, that's all I have to say about that...

That's my fault Bo because I usually book Smarkdown, and since I talk to you a lot, I know that you don't write for Smarkdowns....but I forgot to tell Stubbs....

But you won, so...

Good show....not as good as Storm was, but good nonetheless. Some nice matches, and a special kudos goes to the new tag champs, Chilly Chilly Bang Bang. The match was awsome, although I could so tell when you changed writers. The 2 were very close, but you all pulled it out. Congrats!

Other matches of note...

Ash with the mild-upset in my opinion. Also a very close mark, but Ash pulls it out....barely.

Lerrin with the win....nice one from him...although, both his and Erek's matches were kind of tough to read.

Bo, nice one on the return! I'm boosted to see you back in action, although you do realize that I'm going to have to kill you now.

Silent finally gets that elusive first win...here's hoping he can run off a string of a few more wins in a row to live up to his hype, which I have noticed has slowed slightly.

Danny/Xero....great addition to the tag scene. Good match to start with, and you 2 should make some good strides towards a potential tag title oppportunity. That ending was a little weird though...at least to me.

Wilson....yeah, like Annie said...that's the wrong title you twit. You wanted the world title...the one Edwin has....dumbass. Get some glasses so you can see which title you're winning. But, uh....the match was good....nice flow..and I especially liked the ending. I will say that it's hard to get excited for the ending when the commentators tell half the action....a lot of times I skip commentary so I can move through the match faster, besides, it just doesn't seem as exciting when they say it as opposed to when you describe it in narration. But hten again, that's me....and it wouldn't lose you any points in marking, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I kept winning even though everyone hated my...

PS - I know who that mystery person is...and not because they told me or because they sent me the promo. I haven't received anything from them, but I think I know who it is....althuogh, I'm sure I will have confirmation when I post Storm, since this mystery person will have to send their crap to me....muwhahahaha!

Okay to clear up our ending in our tag match...

Xero (me) hit the Dragon Superplex on Z who was knocked out unconscious. ELM made the first save, but then Danny locks in a sleeper hold, as a crawl back towards the lying body of Z. ELM escaped the sleeper but he was to late to knock me off of Z, as the bell already was rung

We was robbed, I tells ya! Robbed!

Actually, we probably just lost to a better match... but I like saying we were robbed.

More comments later on. Congrats, Chilly Bang x 2!

Zing a ding ding! I'm back in town, checking out a decent looking show. All I've gotten to read in detail thus far are the two title matches. I'll start with ICTV...

A bit of a surprise to see Wilson winning the ICTV title, but quite the match to do it. The finish was hellaciously overbooked, but came off well--Edwin getting involved in Wilson's match and Wilson's and Edwin's, I thought, really helped emphasize tensions between the two immediately after the No Holds Barred challenge for Apocalypse. Not exactly sure how the ICTV is going to fit into the PPV scene...were this booked, it'd be odd, as Wilson can't be more than a transition champion...right? but that'd make Fallout's week-long reign a transition reign too...right? This is why we write matches, heh heh. All in all, quite a good match, with my favorite moments being those swank pinfall reversals of Fallout's--I was getting a great cruiser vs. heavyweight vibe, David/Goliath stuff, which happens a lot, but rarely that well. Whether Wilson ends up losing the title away immediately or holds onto it for a surprising reign, there are a lot of possibilities. Good solid main.

And as for the tag match...dang, yo! That was pretty frickin' sweet! I'm not exactly sure how ours measured up to it, since Raynor still had some edits to make when I had to depart, but I was quite impressed with this. Smart psychology, good Carnie characterization, and a finish that leaves everything hot: hypes Wilson/Edwin, shows TNT and Frost being good dickish heels and taking advantage of the double-team, and shows Raynor taking the burden of the team. My one criticism is that I'd cut down on some of the dumb jokes comedy--some of the bits were good, but extraneous Gay Riley jokes, as much as we might like them, are getting about as old as NTD and pantslessness. Matchwise though, man, you guys did some choice work here--crisp, concise, and clever. Outlasted us damn prolix Carnies, that's for sure. You did a great job with the storyline touches I asked you to add, and altogether wrote a match that I love. When someone loses a match and STILL loves the match that beat them...that's the sign of a genuine classic. Marvelous stuff...and now the question is, which Combo of Carnies will be the next tag threat? Bwa ha ha!

More comments later, but damn, if I don't mark the Lost at Sea match ASAP, Crusen will stab me ohsomanytimes...

as for the show, i am impressed at Chilly Chilly Bang Bang match and capturing the tag titles...

as what it looks like from here, carnies are not good in tag matches

We're usually pretty good, Xero, but I think Z had to write his on his own this time. And Chilly Chilly Bang Bang had some mad skills, to put it lightly.

MATCH REVIEW!

CCBB vs. Edwin/Raynor

rating: ***3/4

CCBB attack Edwin/Raynor in the middle of a comedy skit, in case anyone forgot who the faces and heels were. Though I find it hard to believe that Edwin/Raynor would take the advantage after getting jumped by two monsters, but oh well.

Good power vs. speed transition, as TNT counters a flying forearm with a Powerslam. TNT locking on the front facelock makes sense, but him releasing it after just one elbow doesn't. Anyway, Edwin stuns TNT with an elbow to the gut and hits a Tornado DDT! Despite only taking a Powerslam, he forces poor Raynor into the ring.

Raynor and Frost go at it, and the arm comes into play. Frost somehow hits a Single Arm DDT off an Irishwhip, which I have never seen done before and cannot visualize at all. Catching Raynor with a kick first would have made it wor, otherwise it's just a pointless Irishwhip. And I hate pointless Irishwhips.

TNT and Frost work over the arm, which leads to my fav. spot where TNT plays the Memphis heel while standing on Rayonr's arm. More old school goodness as Raynor feeds off the crowd to make the come back. It's cool how you pointed out how stupid Raynor is for not making the tag, only to swerve and have him make the tag anyway.

After the double team highspot, Edwin slows things down with a single leg crab. Frost somehow counters with a chinlock, which is humanly impossible. You should have had Frost roll over on his back first, and force Edwin to adjust to a kneelock or something, than go for the chinlock. Very odd reversal.

TNT goes to work on Edwin next, but stupidly irishwhips Edwin to his partner who makes the tag. I'am surprised the ref saw it. Frost is pissed and distracts the ref. It's a ruse! Wilson runs in bashes Raynor with the ballbat. Edwin and Wilson brawl on the outside, while TNT busts out the Fugiwara Armbar on Raynor. Just like Wargames, Raynor taps. Though this time there isn't a ring of fire.

Just curious but by Fugiwara Armbar you do mean the mounted back arm bar, and not the cross armbreaker. I know there is some confusion ever since Joey Styles as usual miscalled a cross armbreaker as a Fugiwara Armbar.

Overall. The match had some solid story telling, and it's nice how the armwork factored into the finish. If Raynor was a real wrestler, this would have been one hell of a performance and he would have been the worker of the night. Brining up the War Games finish was also a nice touch.

However the match had some rough spots, and seemed a little lacking the drama or suspense department. Some more teases would have been nice.

Woo, a-thank you Danny.

Yes, we meant the REAL armbar, not the Styles one.

And for most of your complaints, it's basically not the match it COULD be because we had to chop the hell out of it to get it under the word limit.

But thanks anyway.

If that's a joke, it went over my head. I don't get it it all, are you saying your character isn't a good worker.

As for TNT, yeah I suspected the match had been chopped up. Damn word limits, I can't wait till the next PPV.

Just got through some more of Smarkdown, a bit late, but I wanted to comment on how I liked the Danny/Xero team, particularly their promo. Odd match, with finishers coming out of nowhere right out the gate and Magnifico being called ELMS for the whole match...but pretty sweet. Dragon superplex = sick.

Now...back to comics.
