Are you getting Summerslam?

If you get Summerslam, what 3 reasons are you getting it for (1 - Biggest Reason, 2 - Somewhat Big, 3 - Big)

 

1. Benoit vs. RVD

 

2. HBK vs. HHH (I want to see what HBK is like after 4 years without a match on WWF tv.)

 

3 - Tied: Angle vs. Rey (Sounds like a really cool clash of styles) and Brock vs. Rock (If he does the SSP, I want to see it live on PPV.)

 

I'm just intrested in what your motives are for watching the PPV.

The card overall looks very good. But I especially want to see what HBK looks like in the ring against HHH.

It's free at the pool hall so...yeah I watch every PPV

 

Although, sometimes we don't feel like going (noisy crowd) so we just order it and split the cost which is like 5 bucks...so no big deal.

 

I watch every PPV but SSlam looks decent and gets my "must get" vote for the exact reasons (in order) stated by BretHart4Ever

No big reason that I want to watch SummerSlam... I'll probably go watch it at sports bar. I wouldn't spend $35 for it.

 

I'm kinda interested in Test-Taker.

 

Angle-Rey will probably be good... but it will have the same feeling as a TV match.

 

Benoit-RVD I've already seen on Raw, and I don't think they can do much better.

 

HHH-HBK, I have no interest in.

 

Rock-Brock, no interest... except the hope that Brock finally does something to spark my interest.

 

Jericho-Flair, bleh.

 

This seems like another ho-hum PPV. Oh well.

SummerSlam has a pretty good streak dating back since 1996 for at least being decent. With Flair/Jericho, Benoit/RVD, and Angle/Rey, I think I'll be happy. Heck, I think Rock/Brock could be a nice brawl... or am I just too optimistic there.

I also get the $5 "split-the-cost-with-friends" treatment with every PPV, so even if they suck, it's only $5. Plus I can hang with friends who I don't see otherwise.

 

But I am looking forward to the majority of the matches... yes, even Brock/Rock. Even though the push may not be warranted by most, I like what he's done so far and what he may accomplish in the future.

I think Brock is gonna turn it up at SummerSlam. One, he's gonna have to wrestle for 20 minutes. Two, it's SummerSlam and he's facing The Rock. Three, he's gonna have to give the performance of his lifetime to prove himself to the fans...if he is indeed being given the gold.

Understand that it was a "Couldn't order", not "Wouldn't order". I had a friend with PPV Capabilities, and got RR99 and SVDM99 from him. Then his family ditched the package.

 

We just moved to a new house and got digital cable, so we're up again for it.

 

It's not like I CHOSE not to order any more.

You know how everybody is worried about the WWE not being able to fill up a domed stadium for WrestleMania X9? I have a simple solution.

 

Book it at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, then have Test pin Kurt Angle clean with the Big Boot.

 

Then they can move it to the Staples Center for security reasons, a.k.a. out of fear that Anglesault will bring a sniper rifle to the show and attempt to assassinate Test and avenge his Olympic hero's job.

Card looks pretty good, but I'm NEVER motivated for an RVD match, so that's really not my main reason for watching. Angle/Rey may be good depending on how they decide to work the match with the styles involved and I'm curious about the Rock/Brock match, to say the least.
