Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted August 15, 2002 I am ordering it because I'm genuinely interested in all the matches. Test/Taker is a must watch for me because I and most other people WANT to be wowed by this match and WANT to see these two bust their asses. I also want to see how bad Taker squashes Test and see what his push really is like ( I see this match being like Booker/Taker's last PPV bout). Booker/Dust vs Storm/Christian I can't see why this would suck. The Booker T hot tag and then heelish win by the Canadians would do them real well in getting over. Jericho/Flair - Jericho/Hogan was OK, this should be good. I just hope they bild it hard this next week. Rey vs Angle - Not much build, but it should be very good. Angle is golden and Rey is looking good. I hope this is high on the card. Benoit vs RVD - Gotta see it, nuff said. Hardy vs Hardy? It's a maybe, and I'd like to see if they could learn from their mistakes last time around. HHH/HBK - Must see because I want to see if HBK has ANYTHING left. Even if he just comes out in all his flashy attire one more time it'll be worth it. Brock/Rock - SSP is on the way, it will be a first. Should be pretty good, as Brock is somewhat improving and Rock can make him look like gold. Wonder who'll win, the WWE may surprise us. What? No Edge match, but Jeicho is on the PPV???? I can't wait, it'll only cost maybe 7 bucks for me, so no big cost problem.

Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted August 15, 2002 Like AlwaysPissedOff, I will probably just stop by a local Hooters because they always show wrestling on one of their big televisions. The card looks very solid on paper, now we'll see if Vince and the guys can deliver in their second biggest ppv of the year.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted August 15, 2002 Are you able to watch the whole show at Hooters without being pressured to leave?
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted August 15, 2002 Yeah. Just as long as you get something to eat. Most of the time, I just get a burger or a chicken sandwich about an hour ahead of time(it's REALLY packed at the Hooters I go to on PPV nights) and no one will bother you at all. OR, you can go with a bunch of friends, have them order wings for what seems like everybody and just not eat if you choose to.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted August 15, 2002 Sounds like a plan, but then again, 7 bucks to sit on my couch and watch and just eat that food, or more like 12 to dine there and have to put up with the crowd. I'll stay home this time, but it sounds like a nice alternative.
Guest candie45 Report post Posted August 15, 2002 Test vs The Undertaker I hope that's not your main reason for ordering Summerslam. As for the topic itself, I won't be ordering Summerslam, mostly because I don't have the money to shell out to order it. You mean that's not YOUR reason? Anyway, I'll be watching at Hooligans. I'm trying not to get my hopes up about RVD vs. Benoit, because then I'll be even more excited when it happens.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 15, 2002 Im not. Unlike some of you, I have all my senses and realize how much the card sucks. The only match thats even going to be decent is RVD vs Benoit, and knowing the WWE, that will be the first match and only get 9 minutes.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted August 15, 2002 I want to see Test get his useless ass stuck in the ropes again.
Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted August 15, 2002 I'm getting SS because i get all WWE/F PPVs. Im mainly looking forward to Benoit/RVD, Jericho/Flair and Rey/Angle Im not looking forward to Test/Taker (coz it will suck) or HHH/HBK (pretty sad state of affairs really)
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 15, 2002 I've come to my senses and I think it sounds like a fun show- SummSlam usually is. Plus Goldust is wrestling and hopefully Regal will get a match
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 15, 2002 Ha. Regal gets a match? Im guessing that all the matches have been announced save for maybe a women's match or a cruiser match. I doubt Regal falls into either of those categories.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 15, 2002 I didn't think Regal would have a match at Vengeance. But Goldust has a match though so I'm happy

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 16, 2002 Well Test did get stuck in the ropes at X-
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted August 16, 2002 Well Test did get stuck in the ropes at X-7 That was just Test showing off awesome ring PSYCHOLOGY~! showing off how dangerous the ring itself can be. I am not ordering SS. The only matches I care about are Jericho/Flair which has had no build up and RVD/Benoit which isn't worth 35 bucks. I really don't care about any of the SD matches as I haven't been watching it much lately and HHH/HBK, Brock/Rock isn't exactly burning a hole in my pocket. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 16, 2002 I am ordering. Reason: RVD vs. Benoit II There are three things I don't want to see...and they will probably be the last three matches: Brock vs. Rock HHH vs. HBK Taker vs. Test Just aweful for a whole host of reasons, not the least of which are workrate and pushes. Guest midnight_burn Report post Posted August 16, 2002 I'll be ordering it, RVD v Benoit alone is enough to make me get it, and throw in Unamericans/BookerDust, Jericho/Flair, Angle/Rey, Edge/Eddy maybe, and Summerslam should be decent. Of course there's still Taker/Test, HHH/HBK and Rock/Brock which don't excite me, but hopefully it won't be too terrible, and Rock/Brock may end up being all right. Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted August 16, 2002 I'm with the crowd that says going to the sportsbar for the PPV. Rather spend money on the grub than the show, especially this show.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted August 16, 2002 What's the card so far? The Rock vs Brock Lesnar Triple H vs Shawn Michaels Rob Van Dam vs Chris Benoit Booker T and Golddust vs The UnAmericans Chris Jericho vs Ric Flair Test vs The Undertaker Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle Am I missing any? Are any more thought to be added on? Edit: The only one that will have to try really hard is Test/Taker. I think the others are pretty much guarenteed entertainment (not necessarily *****, but entertaining nonetheless).
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted August 16, 2002 I would imagine Bubba/Big Show will be on ppv or heat. Probably Molly/Trish as well or maybe Trish/Spike vs. Nowinski/Molly
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted August 16, 2002 Actually, I take that back. Taker/Test and HHH/HBK will have to try hard. The others seem like, at the VERY least, ** "good enough for me" matches.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 16, 2002 Dont forgot Eddy v. Edge- should be good. Rock v. Brock should be good as well
Guest converge241 Report post Posted August 16, 2002 yeah 1) its summerslam. i mark out for the "big" ppvs 2) RVD - Benoit 3) Jericho - Flair 4) tag title match 5) Rey - Angle 6) Brock - Rock 7) Test - Taker 8) possibility of Edge - Eddy 9) HBK - HHH thats enough matches i want to see for me to order it, more than my usual requirement of 4. best lineup on paper in a long time. Guest HBKShawnMichaelsFan Report post Posted August 16, 2002 I am definately getting SummerSlam. I mean its HBK's return match for Christ's sake. He hasn't wrestled in 4 years......I have been waiting for this day. Plus, with an undercard that includes Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. , Chris Benoit vs. Rob Van Dam for the IC belt and Jericho vs. Flair, it should be a hot ppv. Not to mention the fact that Rock vs. Brock for the UD title is getting good, solid build-up, probably the best build-up the WWE has done for a world title match in awhile.
