Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2002 Damn, I got killed by Garcia and Owens in fantasy points tonight. But, all that matters is that the Niners won.

Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2002 I added Sam Madison in place of Julius Peppers in one of my leagues on defense. The defense now looks like this. Bryant Young Jevon Kearse Champ Bailey Kevin Hardy Jamie Duncan Dana Stubblefield Aaron Glenn Sam Madison Should I start Madison?
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2002 So how'd everyone do in their FF games? In four leagues I am in, I went 2-2, how about everyone else?
Guest razazteca Report post Posted September 12, 2002 Am I insane for starting Tom Brady or Rich Gannon? I also have Branch as a WR so I am hoping for some big numbers. The Steelers might be looking to make an Example of the Raiders, after the big loss on Monday.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 12, 2002 I'm 5-0 in my 5 leagues.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted September 12, 2002 1 league: 1-0 I had the high points for the week (wins $5), beating the next highest by 47. I started Marty Booker, Moulds, Priest Holmes, and Charlie Garner. My TE did squat, and my QB (Culpepper) had a so-so game. I've debating whether to start Culpepper or Shane Matthews this week....
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 12, 2002 I wouldn't start Matthews this week since he will be playing the Eagles and won't be nearly as good as he was his first week.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted September 12, 2002 It's either: Culpepper @ home vs. Buffalo Kerry Collins @ Rams Matthews @ home vs. Philly (w/ Troy Vincent nursing a knee injury)
Guest razazteca Report post Posted September 12, 2002 I had no luck as I went 1-3 in Yahoo leagues Garcia and the Rookie(s) running game hurt me
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 12, 2002 Actually i read that Troy Vincent will likely play Monday. Even without Vincent Philly has a good secondary and Matthews will likely have some trouble. Collins doesn't throw many tds even when he plays well and will be playing a Rams defense with something to prove. Culpepper is easily the best and safest pick out of those three this week. Buffalo has an improving defense and decent CBs but Culpepper should do fine. Remember Vinny threw for over 200 yards and two tds on them in week one and with no Curtis Martin for much of the game. Besides the game will likely be a shoot out.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Out of four leagues, i went 2-2. In one of my leagues, the owner of Daunte Culpepper is putting him and Shane Matthews up for trade, in return he wants something like a good WR... I have Terrell Owens, Jimmy Smith, and Keyshawn Johnson and I am considering trading Smith to get Culpepper, I have Mark Brunell and Quincy Carter at QB if that tells you anything. Should I trade Smith or a different WR to get Culpepper?
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Since your qbs are Brunell and Carter then yes trading Jimmy Smith for Culpepper would probably be a good move. Check your free agent list there's probably a wr that could replace Smith and not be a terrible down grade and good enough for a bye week replacement. Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I have proposed the trade and I have already checked the Free Agent list, Santana Moss and Marcus Robinson sit out there and I have my sights set on both of these guys. If this trade goes thru, I will pick both of these guys up and maybe drop Peter Warrick in favor of one of them and of course drop Quincy Carter.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I sent the deal, it was accepted and has gone through already. I have already picked up Moss and now have Robinson for Warrick pending, question is, which one of these two do I start and which one do I put in for the bye-week-replacement, in your opinion?
Guest razazteca Report post Posted September 13, 2002 start Sanatana Moss because Robinson is always injuried prone, besides Booker is the man in Chicago. Can you Dig That so what was the actual trade that went through?
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Well Owens and Keyshawn should be your weekly starters with Moss and Robinson as backups/bye week replacements. And how you should use them will depend. You'll have to see how the Jets use Moss and how the Bears use Robinson to decide who to use.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2002 so what was the actual trade that went through? Jimmy Smith for Daunte Culpepper. Reason this was done, I had Mark Brunell and Quincy Carter at QB. The guy who owned Culpepper wanted a good WR, so, I dealt him Smith for Culpepper and he accepted it. Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2002 Trent Green. it was a last minute thing to. i was scared of GB's defense That's understandable, I'd be a bit worried about Green Bay's defense too. Doesn't hurt to take a chance or two every now and then, at least it paid off for you. Are you gonna start Vick again tomorrow?
Guest converge241 Report post Posted September 14, 2002 its funny you should ask that i dont know who to start.. Chicgao defense against Vick and his WRs scare me Green is just going against the Jaguars who do i start? (im leaning towards Green this week)

Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted September 15, 2002 Hey guys, you think I should start Rich Gannon or Brad Johnson? I'm leaning towards Gannon (half because he's the freaking villian in the Zelda games), but Johnson didn't look bad at all last week. Opinions?
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2002 That one is hard to call, flip a coin if you're still stuck on who to start.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted September 15, 2002 today is a good day for my public league team as the Tampa Bay Bucs Defense scored a shut out.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2002 While your Bucs D scored a shut-out, Peerless Price came up huge for me today on one of my teams, him scoring two recieving TDs combined with almost 200 yards recieving. Helped me pull out to a nice lead over my opponent who has a pair of Eagles players left to play. (McNabb, Hugh Douglas) Edit: Also, on another team of mine, I have Michael Pittman and Emmitt Smith as my starting RBs, would dropping Mike Anderson in place of Emmitt be a smart move? Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 16, 2002 I have Michael Pittman and Emmitt Smith as my starting RBs, would dropping Mike Anderson in place of Emmitt be a smart move? Running back by commitee situations is always tricky when it comes to fantasy football. And Denver has rbbc so it's a gamble using any of the backs. So i guess you'll have to look at the matchups and see who is playing the weaker defense and then decide.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2002 Actually, Anderson is a FB, or so he played in yesterday's game while Olandis Gary played RB. If not him, then perhaps Moe Williams from the Vikings? He might end up taking Michael Bennett's starting job from him, from what I heard he had more of an impact in the game than Bennett did...
