Okay okay okay.

Apparently there's a little confusion. I'm not exactly mad we lost, but it's more -how- we lost. And one spot in particular involving my character sums it up quite nicely...

Annie bounces off the ropes, floating toward JD, she leaps in the air, flipping forward, smashing her back into his ribs with a senton splash, and remains there for the cover.

wow. Senton Splash. Nice spot. High flyers can do those. It's a damn shame that Annie's, oh, I dunno.... NOT A HIGH FLYER!!! COULD WE PLEASE CLEAR THIS UP RIGHT NOW?

Annie does not equal high flyer. She's a freaking brawler. She's a small, tiny little brawler that gets her ass kicked often. But she's a brawler. I keep high spots like that out of my stats for a reason. I can't write LHW to save my life. I ask people who face me from now on, do NOT give Annie high spots. I can't write them. It's not fair to me if you do.

On a completely different note....

TNT is the freaking man. Read the match, the lost IQ points are worth it dammit. !!!

TNT = Ratingz!!1!1!!!!

now, I'm going to go cool off by beating up inanimate objects...

Well...uh...I'd come out with my usual "GOOD SHOW!" but then I would be lying.

Hell, the matches that WON look to be awesome, especially Frost's, but the ME was a double-no-show!? Fuck that. Well, either way, the WINNING matches look AWESOME actually...and mine looks...uh...read it...just...read it.

Oh, and Danny, I want you to review my match dammit, lol...you might not GET that "lol" right now, but if you read the match, you will. You have a cameo anyway.

Anyhoo, I plan on actually READING the WHOLE show this time, as it seems pretty short. But everyone remember to read my match [hey, it's short] and vote TNT for president.

Also Annie, I can see why you're frusterasted...JD DOES indeed suck.

Meh

I'll reply when I get insults from everyone.

Annie... seeing as you are a brawler... I think you have no fear of doing an attack that sacrifices your body to hurt your opponent.

Even the Big Show can do that move, Annie. So don't freak out.

I've read the whole show... but I don't feel like commenting right now.

My dog did a senton splash once.

Anyway: a mediocre show because of the gaps, but what's there is exceptional. The double no-show main event is unfortunate, because that looked to be a huge match. First double no-show main in a looooong time.

Silent goes promo instead of match since Strangler couldn't write, but it's Thoth promo following that really brings it all together. TNT also wrote one helluva filler piece, though a regular match *would* have been better. Still, this is so ridiculously funny that it's not too bad a situation at all.

Some interesting angle progression: Silent gives Raynor a suspicious videotape, and...Raynor walks out? What's going on here? I'll have to look into this, I will...

So far, I've read Z's match and Frost's match. Z's opener against Xero is quality; some of the commentary reads very awkwardly, but altogether the old-school thematics and smart false finish echoing Monday's sleeper tap-out had me marking. Very good build in that match, going from solid technical sequences in to the highspots and hot finale. Nice work for 3000 words.

Frost's match was an interesting take on the handcuffs--he went with it, and didn't cheap out by breaking out of them or having TNT uncuff him or anything. Using the handcuffs and hands behind the back to avoid pins was a great touch, and all of Frost's rallies actually had me hoping he would pull out the win off a big charge and a cradle or something, the handcuff sequences were that well written. I didn't like the DQ finish, but really, having Ash lose in any other way besides massive M7 interference would be rather embarrassing. He still gets the win, but M7 looks smart.

2 DQ finishes, 1 comedy match, 1 promo replacing a match, and 1 double no-show makes for a somewhat inconsistent show, but the actual matches that are there are great. The promos are solid too, leading me into...

Jay Dawg. What fricking great promos. I know you were working on them all week, and what a pay-off. I never thought I'd say this, but...with the "going after Thugg" angle, combined with being the most aggressive and influential member of Creative Control, combined with a pretty hot streak of wins...could JD, the guy who has used PETRO THE FRICKING CLOWN as a gimmick before, ACTUALLY be the number 2 heel in the fed? JD's actions tonight might seal it in my eyes.

I think TNT may have just tied the ML Danceoff for best comedy match EVER. That was absolutely hilarious... poor Fallout.

Um... if the Big Show did a Senton, not only does that scare me, but that also seals the fact that I'll never be a pro wrestler in real life.

Look, here's my issue with the Senton. I keep high spots out of my stats for a reason. I suck with them. Others writing it in mean that you have an advantage writing -my- character. So I keep them out. I have the 450 down due to practice, but Annie is a brawler. So she doesn't do any other high spots.

Brawlers dont' sacrifice their bodies in the ring. Suicidial high flyers do that. Read RVD, Jeff and Matt Hardy, Super Crazy. Annie is much closer to Cactus Jack or Tommy Dreamer than that. In fact, there's quite a lot of Tommy Dreamer influence in my current stats (Spicolli Driver? Singapore Cane? DDT Finisher?)

I'm still very ticked off at this, but again, as the saying goes 'fix it with a promo' and so I guess I'll have to. I'm just mad about being written out of character when I actually showed.

Argle.

By the way, I'm not so blind with anger to -not- see why you did that. She does have -a- high spot, and a somewhat difficult one at that, the 450 Splash. A Senton theoretically shouldn't be hard for her to do and if she were real probably wouldn't. But right now that's not her -style-, and I'd like to keep it that way. I'll reflect this in my stats.

Remember folks....

Annie = Tommy Dreamer good

Annie = Jeff Hardy bad.

thank you.

-Annie

p.s. any main eventers can probably skip this tirade as they'll probably never face me :)

I once seen a burned out toothless old Hase do a sommersault senton. And that guy wasn't even agile when he was young, so like the Moonsault I guess it's one of those moves that ALMOST any wrestler is capable of doing.

Still I can understand Annie being ticked, I know I would if someone had Danny bust out a flashy move. Hell, I was ticked about Thoth having my character repeatedly miss blind charges. But that 450 splash thing is confusing Annie, since it's a flashy rare move that only very small and atheletic luchadores can do. Maybe if you was to alter it to a normal body splash, it would mesh better with your style.

Anyway, I'am glad I won so I can finally get the elbows OVER. I'am surprised that I did win since I used a strike as a finisher. So since I killed a former World Champion with the elbows, there will be no more questioning the power of the elbows. Elbows=Death.

And the finish to the Xero/Williams vs. Z/ELM match was not a Sleeper, dammit. Z got pinned by a Super Dragon Suplex, while I desperately held ELM in a sleeperhold. Z should have teased the Superdragon Suplex, I need to read this match.

And I don't think I'll be reviewing your match TNT, because you hurt my feelings with your cheap shot comment. Just because I don't have a personailty doesn't mean I don't have feelings. :(

And there is one solution to the ICTV title double no show, give the title to me.

I know, that's why I saw why he did it. It's not as much that she couldn't do it as much as she -wouldn't-, it's really not her style. In fact, I want to try to avoid as much cruiser-type writing as possible, and even made the 450 a hardcore-only move. The NFW will probably never get written, unless I become a permanent tag teamer, so that leaves no high spots in my stats. I know the senton is easy, I just don't like seeing her go up top. That's my main beef.

Uh...I don't think this senton was going up top.

I read it as Annie bouncing off the ropes, then flipping forward. Running senton splash. Kinda like the rolling thunder, but with less rolls. Not really a high-spot.

running senton?

...you can do that? :(

well, to hell with it all then, moot point as I lost I have no say really in this matter.

...that's how I read it, too.

If you think about it, it's possible... probably more possible than some of my new finishers.

The actual Tom Flesher stretches his back out when he's warming up to wrestle by doing running dive-rolls, which are more or less running senton splashes.

If a heavyweight Greco guy can do it, the somewhat agile Annie E could too.

Just for the record.

Awe...c'mon! It wasn't a cheap shot at YOU, it was a cheap shot at your CHARACTER! Hell, even your character has a personality, but SOMEONE needed to take out GORO, and it was either your lack of personality or a Johnny Rotten run-in, so there. :P

Yes, and the point I was making (while I was under the wrong assumption, BTW) was not if Annie could do it, but if she would. She wouldn't do a Senton off the top rope....

but it wasn't off the top rope, it was a running Senton.

So I publicly apologize to JD, bitching him out when it wasn't needed or warranted. I misunderstood the spot, and wrongly flew off the handle. Sorry, JD.

This also goes to prove, again, why i should never write cruiser style. I just don't... get it. I didn't know you could senton from a run. :( Sorry, I'm just completely cruiser illeterate, and I don't usually watch those matches. I watch normal/garbage wrestling usually....

I still don't know what a plancha is....

Again, apologies to JD, as he did write my character much more authentically then I thought.

Argh....

What the hell?!

As I explained to Thugg, I got really sick over the course of this week and wasn't awake long enough to put anything resembling a match together. But why the hell did Wilson noshow? If I'd know that, I would have tried to hammer out *something.*

Well, for those wondering what was *supposed* to happen, Stubby was going to get revenge on Pete for XF9's toying with the Storm card... he was going to change the match to a handicap pitting Pete against Wilson & Lerrin Breggan.

Meh.

Just think, Pete. You could have written "Lerrin falls onto Wilson, and Pete climbs on top--new champ!" and have that belt now! Heh. I think Lerrin and Wilson just didn't plan out the writing schedule right.

I just noticed one thing that was missing from this show, something I really miss: total lack of Erek and Strangler!!! After the fricking awesome build they've been doing over the past two weeks to really make this feud special...man, that's what seemed out of place. Here's hoping they get something kicking on Smarkdown.

Well, I thought it was a good show. I'm shocked to see JD doing promos... that are good... and elevate him! Is the stigma wearing off?

No.

And Dan, I still feel bad about that match... I couldn't think of any other transition spots. Blame it on DDR.

Yeah, that was odd Edwin. I hope they do something for SD because I'd hate to see them lose that heat right before teh PPV. And that's quite possible given the other good angles going on.

LDP, yeah, I know you told me you were no showing. I hope you didn't think I was yelling at you or anything...I was just annoyed that I stayed up late waiting for a match that was a double no show. I don't knwo what happened to Wilson...he was around earlier in the week, but I didn't really see him as we got close to Friday.

What was there was good....Frost's match rocked! I'm sorry...I loved that match through and through. And you know what the sad thing is...Ash's match only lost by a very slim margin. Those were my favorite matches to mark in a while...very nice. It sucks that Ash's match had to lose, because it was a gem as well....but Frost's was a frosty gem, which beats a gem....so sorry Poke freak. Both Frost and Ash have been putting together some dandies lately...nice job. I jnust can't get over how close those matches were...and not close mediocre, but close awsome. I wish I could have had a draw and posted both matches....oh well...you'll get 'em next time Ashy boy.

What else....

That's it....seeing as how I haven't actually read the other things on the show. You'll get a summary when I get around to it, and those descriptions for Smarkdown are coming later tonight.

Got through Danny's match now. Pacing has improved a lot, commentary is alternately effective and hilarious, but two criticisms:

1) The last third or so of the match was a bit dominant. I know the storyline was that Danny was wearing Mag down, and Mag had so much heart/fortitude/etc. that he kept getting up after elbows, but as a reader it was slightly tiresome to see Mag take 8 elbows, fall down, get up, take another few elbows, fall down, get up, and so on. I would have marked big for at least one big comeback move and a near fall stuck in there, something extra to really motivate Danny to bust out the rolling elbow. Good job with conveying the power of the strikes, though.

2) Why call El Luchadore Magnifico, aka ELM, ELMS? No, really. Am I totally missing something here? Is it a puro or a lucha thing? Or just a mistake? It confused me in the tag match on Smarkdown, and seeing it again here confused me again. Heeeelp.

Thanks, Thugg. It was good, wasn't it? :D

All in all, great show. Bummed about the double no-show, but a great show.

And BTW, Frost, that was an excellent match as well. I'm considering posting mine, that is, if you guys would like to see it.

Sure... post it Ash.

A nice opener by Z... slightly inconsistent... but hey... Z winning by putting himself over is inconsistent. Dude is talented, let's hope he keeps this up.

Edwin and Thoth scoring a big win over my stable who always are in tag teams yet hate tag matches... poor Sacred... maybe we should have never won them tag gold.

Edwin keeps getting better and better at refining his wrestling style... this dude better quit... because he's going to be damn unbeatable!

I already claimed I think they should have gone for a double Encore Cross instead of a Spiked Riot of Blood... just for fun.

Let's see... a dominant match by Thoth with a good ending.

TNT = Dirty Cock Sucker!!

Silent doing a number on TBS, then punking out Thoth... actually fitting in with my promo about him. Good to see.

Disappointing about Main Event but Pete covered it alright... Nice little ending... Thugg still too pussy to fight me!

Thanks for commenting on my match, I wish more would.

1. I did tease a comeback, where Mag almost got the German Suplex. Since German Suplexes tend to knock Williams out, it scared him shitless so he had to put Mag away immediately with the Rolling Elbow. If Mag had actually hit a big move, than it would kill the momentum and the ending would be stretched out even further and I wasn't going for that. Save that for the rematches.

With the multiply elbows, I wanted to show how Williams was knocking the life out of Mag with each blow. Notice it took less and less blows to floor Mag each time. I do feel the two single elbow knockdowns is the most exciting thing I ever wrote.

I felt the ending was kept in doubt, because noone could possibly think that ELM takes some elbows and that's it. You were just waiting for a big comeback move, a finisher tease, or anything. But it didn't happen, and I'am sure that would have disappointed and shocked the reader and the fictional audience. Which is what heel victories are supposed to do.

Plus, I love the crowd reaction whan a face just gets thier ass handed to them. You don't have to go to Japan to see that, just check out Vadar/Stng Bash 92(one of my all time fav. matches, and a match every wrestling fan should see).

2. I know I once saw him be refered to as ELMS. I'am too lazy to check the spelling evertime, I write out Magnifico. Plus ELM sounds akward(see the opening sentence two paragraphs up where I call him ELM), as does Mag.

TNT rocks the house.

And why did I no-show? Well, Lerrin told me he was writing the first part. Sat down thursday night, and he sent a PM saying he couldn't get online and thus had nothing written. I figured, no big, I'll just go watch some Baseball Tonight and then start...

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

Friday went from early golf to cheerleaders to festivaling to party at mi casa to watching snatch into saturday morning and into some parking to more festivaling to free ice cream to lemonade to coming home and collapsing.

Bottom line, I was just a tad busy and/or never home, so there would be your answer.

Yet again, TNT rocks the house, and I am outta here...

I just got back into town a bit ago and have to read the whole show. Although, much like what WWE does, it looks like a place filler leading up to the ppv. Which is fine, as the Smarkdown card looks to set things up a little more nicely and you can't blow your load before the big show (play with that statement and it will warp your mind). Thank you to all who gave me props on my match, especially Thugg. I was stuck between going comedic or old school, and wound up going old school. I think it's too easy to make that a comedy match. To be honest, I think this might be the best match I've written, just as far as using the gimmick and building up the tension goes. It's one of the few times I'll let my ego show and admit that I personally think it's a damn good match.
