There was a syndicated show WWF New York with original matches in my area around '98. I believe it was hosted by JR and the Brooklyn Brawler. It aired on ch. 41 (Now ch. 55 LI I believe) at 11am Saturdays with original matches (Unless they were the Shotgun matches)

So, when I started watching wrestling, the WWE had:

 

WWE RAW IS WAR

WWE Shotgun

WWE Superstars

WWE Jakked

WWE Metal

 

Then, they got:

 

WWE Heat

WWE Velocity

WWE Confidential

WWE Afterburn

WWE Excess

WWE Smackdown

 

They also changed WWE RAW IS WAR to WWE RAW. Excess was also cancelled, and replaced by some show. So, I guess there's about the same amount now, as there was when I started watching wrestling.

Dude you're totally off. Go read my lineages. Jakked and Metal replaced Shotgun Saturday Night and Shotgun they were never on at the same time. Heat and SmackDown came before Jakked and Metal.
