Guest Human Fly Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 Benoit vs. RVD Angle vs. Rey Unamericans vs. Bookdust Eddie vs. Edge Benoit needs the win here more then RVD. Having RVD beat Benoit and be IC Champ again will do nothing for his heat, he's past that. Benoit would also lose heat if he lost IMO. But, if Benoit wins Cheap, he gets heat, and RVD doesn't lose any. Also SD needs this win more then Raw. If RVD wins that will leave SD with the CW title, and that's it while Raw will have Hardcore, Tag, and IC. Angle v. Rey is confusing to me. If Rey is just going to go into a CW program after this then this match is meaningless, and they shouldn't be wasting Angle's time. If Rey goes into an IC program with Benoit after this then this match will serve it's purpose. That being said Angle should go over here. They should be priming Angle for a program with Brock, a loss to Rey won't do that any favors. I would have Angle pull it out, and then have Rey move on. Have the Unamericans win this one by some form of cheating (pinning Goldust), and then have them beat down on Bookerdust. Then have Hacksaw Jim Duggan run out (SS is in NY, doesn't Hacksaw live there?) and clean house with Bookerdust. Unamericans go over, Bookerdust doesn't lose heat, Hacksaw get's a good pop, and Booker is still free for singles action. If the WWE is serious about giving Edge a push he has to win this one. I would rather Eddy get the push, but with Brock as World Champ, and Benoit as IC who is Eddy going to feud with? If they continue with the Edge v. Eddy feud then Eddy wins this one, but if not. They'll have Edge go over.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 But if Benoit vs. RVD ends in a lame DQ, then it won't be a ***** match like the Internet fans are guran-damn-teeing it will be! Seriously, I have never seen so much praise for a MATCH THAT HASN'T EVEN HAPPENED YET. Yes, it has the potential to rock, but let's get a grip, folks. I don't think I've seen anyone say it will be *****. People are just excited about a match, and god knows that dosn't happen very often these days. What's your problem with that?
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 I think RVD has been jobbed enough. I mean he should be the champ, and he's languishing in the midcard. Vince, push him, NOW.

Not only that, he's had Flair, Matt Hardy and Eric Frickin' Bischoff to come to his rescue lately. This makes him look like a grade A wuss. He need a strong win at Summerslam. Then again, Benoit could use one too. I predict a very dirty Benoit win after RVD comes very close to pinning him. Unconsious ref and stuff.

Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Well Eddy/Edge is happening as shown on RAW last night. What I wanna know is if there's going to be a cruiser match.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Maybe Funaki will pull off an upset in a #1 contenders match (against Chavo or Tajiri or whomever) tonight at the Smackdown tapings, and we'll get Noble vs. Funaki?
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 I suppose Jamie Knoble will do battle with Billy Kidman or Sho Funaki at SS.
