computer newbie: where? computer newbies I know don't discuss on internet message boards like this one, especially not about downloading ROMs for their N64 emus. Oh, and there's also nothing wrong with being a computer newbie; it's no reason to be made fun of by a know-it-all jerk like you.

 

An emulation newbie: Why? Because he mentioned one or two ways to get ROMs? That's one or two more than you mentioned, because the only thing you do here is talking out of your ass. Yes, you can get your ROMs by FTP, Usenet, Hotline, Edonkey, Kazaa or whatever. You can even make them yourself if you have nothing better to do. That's great and you're a wise man.

what's the point of telling people to go to your site for roms when you can't download shit from it because your roms are down

 

If you are trying to download WWF No Mercy, the best link is the 3rd one thats split in 7 parts because the server is always up. Unfortunately the other first 2 aren't always up. If you are having any more problems just post a reply here!

No, it's not. All of these games have been available through various sources for quite a while now.

It's still somewhat nice of you to post a useful link for the people who are still searching for these ROMs, but it really shouldn't be in the WWE folder IMO.

I've been online for about 7 years now, and I agree that ignorant newbies can be a pain in the ass. My problem is that I don't see an ignorant newbie here. I see someone named TestKick who posted a perfectly acceptable answer in this thread and was then made fun of for no apparent reason by someone named Eagan469 who then proceeded to insult another user (me) who just wondered why Eagan 469 made fun of TestKick to begin with. That's all I see.

 

Oh, and I'm not computer illiterate. Don't know why you think that, don't care either.

He said posting on a "public internet message board", referring to Smarkboard is illegal. He then went on to say that Newsgroups are one way of asking for ROMs.

 

I explained why he was wrong about the message board, but I found it funny that posting on Newsgroups was "legal", seeing as every thread is archived and publically accesable in every sense of the word.

 

It was a stereotypical newbie answer to a question about emulation.

Yeah, but anything below the 32-bit line (which isn't available anymore except used over eBay and the like) is okay, but this is N64 and should be considered warez.
