In honor of Shawn Michaels, as he and Hunter will probably piss over his career at SS, who bumped and sold the best in the past and of course the present.

I'm a big fan of RVD's bumping.

No one takes a DDT like RVD

Well, in his prime, Austin's selling was off-the charts. Owen was ridiculously talented when it came to bumping/selling, too. Angle is showing some really nice shades of Owen selling, at present.

Indeed, he is great at taking a DDT. I remember one in ECW, by Dreamer perhaps, and he overselled it like hell, it was so funny. How about talk about OVER-sellers...

...Curt Henning anyone?

In respect to this topic, I've always been a huge fan of Ric Flair's bumping and taking of offense, ESPECIALLY against the bigger guys, like Hogan and Vader. If you doubt Flair's selling ability, just check out his matches with Vader, it's just gold.

Yeah, between Shawn, Hennig, and Rob, you've got enough over-selling to fill an entire match based off of five moves.

I think Jamie Knoble is a GREAT bumper, maybe the best in the WWE. NEVER oversells pointlessly, never undersells, just provides the best sell for whatever move is thrown at him. He made Hurricane's chokeslam look like death in a can.

Noble seems to channel Benoit with his selling, and it definitely makes for more impressive moves. His selling of the top rope neck breaker drop spot was dead on, until he just no sold it and won the match. That was more the booker's at fault, though.

Though we've yet to see much in the way of bumps from him, I've been impressed thus far from the two over the top rope bumps that Lesnar's taken. He also seems to have a pretty good idea of how to sell offense if they ever decide to book him as something over than the unstoppable monster (who happens to sell for everyone).

Currently it seems that RVD is the best pinball out there. It really makes me wonder how he doesn't get more injured.

Savage has always been a great seller.

RVD doesn't get injured because he's quick, but not reckless.

RVD definately bumps better than anyone in the WWF right now. Jeff Hardy will be just as risky, but a lot of times they just look sloppy when he does it.

Dynamite Kid. Chris Benoit. Jamie Knoble. All great sellers.

They're basically the same person if you think about it. Just watch the way they do snap suplexes... they usually lift one leg off the mat first before snapping it in. But that's neither here nor there.

Eddie Guerrero bumps and sells well too. Benoit is up there too.

But, I think it's a tie right now between RVD & Angle.

Kanyon should be on this list also.

Shawn Michaels was bumping/selling king in 1996-97. Steve Austin sold extremely well because (like Bret Hart) it made sense in whatever match he was in. Currently, I think RVD sells pretty good (the DDT is a great example), and I think Kurt Angle sells very well as well.

Gotta Go with RVD his selling of DDT's and Piledrivers is matched buy none. Angle is also Very good.

I'd nominate D'Von as a good seller as well. I still remember when Matt Hardy delivered the Twist of Fate off the ladder on to D'Von, he made it look sickening.

Rock can sell some good stuff to like the Gore he got from Rhyno...shit i marked out like a bastard

Benoit and Eddie currently. Angle's up there. I like Rey diverted selling as it works real well, and he bumps pretty well. RVD bumps well, but his selling is mediocre at times.

Austin is probably one of the best all time. I'd have to agree with Owen.

Isn't he that big fat dude that teamed up with Earthquake?

Oh wait, that was Ricky Tugboat...

He never fell over. That's the way to sell if you wanna take it to da pay windah.

Anyone here ever heard of Ricky Steamboat?

Only thing I don't like about Steamboat was how sometimes he'd wrestle like he was a 400lb Monster. (See: Matches w/ Ric Flair) He would make it look like it took everything the Heel had to knock him off his feet.

More likely it was just Steamboat doing the "fighting spirit" sell that was so common in those matches. When he needed to, Steamboat sold like a God. I still point to Vs. Luger from GAB '89 as a great example of this, as he sells in a way that would normally be called cartoonish, but makes it seem totally believable. One of my favorite parts of that match is when Steamboat recovers after taking a huge beating and just starts swining frantically in all directions before tumbling over in exhaustion. Something I would normally laugh ended up looking convicing and just made me get behind Steamboat even more.

I agree with RickyChosyu. Steamboat's selling in that match made Luger seem like a monster, IMO, and totally helped that match.

and Ricky, the floors smell TERR-iffic!

(Everyone else, try and guess what movie that's from. I think you'll be pleasently surprised)

Mick Foley took great bumps, in the year 2000[/Conan O'Brian Echo] made HHH a credible champ

Bang! Bang!

Hijo de Santo is the greatest luchadore at bumping and puts several guys over [/mark mode]

ahem.....

HHH used to be very good in 2000, just look at the street fight, that's good selling right there.....

I like how Austin, Angle, Rock and Shawn sell

I like how RVD, Eddy, Savage, Shawn, Jericho and Mick Foley bump. Oh and honorable mention goes to DDP for bumping before WWE.

Noble reminds me of Dynamite and benoit too, but you know, less good. Flair was the greatest.
