It's early Tuesday morning...well, it's early if you're retired. HVT rolls over in his giant bed to look at the clock that reads "9:48" as the phone rings a second time. Thugg reaches over the clock on his nightstand, contemplating whether he really wants to have a conversation this early in the morning. He pulls the phone close to his face as his eyes have yet to open completely, only to have it ring a third time, startling him such that his eyes pop completely open. He looks at the phone's face, and mouths "fuck" as he flips the phone open... (HVT) - {groggily} Yo... (Phone) - Damien! What the hell is wrong with you?? (HVT) - Well hello to you too Dr. Castanza. (Phone) - Don't be a jackass Damien...What in sam-hell is wrong with you?? (HVT) - Yo man...what are you talkin' about?? (Phone) - Don't play dumb with me Damien! I just got the SWF Press Release for the upcoming PPV, Apolcalypse! Thugg pulls the phone away from his lips and, again, mouths the word "fuck." (Phone) - Do you know what I see there Damien?? I see The HVille Thugg versus Jay Dawg for the Hardcore Title! Are you freaking crazy?!? You told me...you promised me that you weren't going to do this! Just the other day you told me that you wouldn't rush this...you wouldn't rush back to the ring...and now I find out that you're facing that crazy son of a bitch Jamie Drazon?!? What is wrong with you?!? (HVT) - Yo man...I... (Phone) - {cutting Thugg off} Are you freaking mad?? Do you want to be paralyzed? Do you ever want to walk again?!? (HVT) - YO! I'm walkin' now man...what's the big deal? (Phone) - What's the big deal??? What's the big deal??? Do you have any idea how lucky you are to even be walking today?? Do you understand that you were this close to being a freaking vegetable?!? You are only walking today by the grace of the good Lord above, and what do you do with his blessing?? You just freaking throw it away because some dude smacked around your ex-girlfriend! What's wrong with you?? You're gonna throw it all away for her?? (HVT) - Yo...first off, it wasn't luck man. You were there, you know how much work I put into rehab after surgery. You said yourself that the way I was recovering was remarkable and the fastest you'd ever seen. (Phone) - Yes, it was! But that doesn't mean you're ready to get back into the ring after only 4 months. Nobody...nobody has ever come back to competition after a broken neck after only 4 months! It's unheard of, and I can't let you do it. (HVT) - Let me?? Let me?? With all due respect doc...you ain't gotta LET me do a damn thing. I appreciate all you did to help me yo, but don't try to tell me what to do. Ask Chris Wilson what happens when you try to control me... (Phone) - I don't give a damn about Chris...I care about you and what's going to happen to you in that ring on Sunday. This is no joke Thugg...this is the real thing. You may have rehabbed well and you may have been leading to an eventual return to the ring, but if you try to do it after only 4 months, you're sealing your fate. I know you think your neck feels fine right now, but understand something...all it would take is one...ONE good shot to end your career...hell....even your life! And thing that could compress or twist your neck is going to end your career for good...a chair shot to the head...a piledriver...a freaking DDT! Anything...and just like that...poof...you're done. Is that what you want? (HVT) - Yo...why are you trippin? That ain't gonna happen man. Jay Bitch can't see me cuz. You think he's even gonna get a chance to hit me with a chair or that weak ass finisher he has?? Yeah right. I'm gonna crush him like the bitch he is...and it will be quick. (Phone) - Dammit Damien! Now you're being foolish. When have you even been in a match where you didn't get hit? (HVT) - You'll see one come Sunday... (Phone) - Let's be real here Damien...it's a hardcore match...anything goes, right? (HVT) - Yeah... (Phone) - So...Jay Dawg can use any weapon he wants against you, right? (HVT) - Yeah, so...he still won't fuckin' touch me. (Phone) - But what about Bo...Sacred...Breggan...King...Stubby?? They're allowed to do whatever they want man...and they are going to want to finish what they started 4 months ago. (HVT) - Nah playa...JD said he don't want them to come down...and while Jamie is the biggest bitch known to man, he's got pride. He wants to beat me on his own...he said so on Smarkdown. He's got too much pride...and his pride will be his demise...cause I'm gonna wreck his... (Phone) - Don't spout off no corny catchphrases to me Damien! I'm not trying to hear it! But I need you to hear me right now...If you step in that ring on Sunday, you'll be throwing away all the hard work we've done over the past four months. You'll throw away any shot you have of ever returning to the ring...period. If that's what you want, then fine...go ahead and cripple yourself. If not, then get on the phone, call Stubby, and tell him to cancel the match. Damn your pride...damn your foolish blind love...damn your "I'm a big huge bad ass who can whoop anybody" mentality. Cancel the match and get your fucking ass back out here to rehab...and I promise you, I'll make sure you can pay them all back for what they did to you. JD, Stubby, Sacred, Bo...all of them...come back to rehab, and I'll have you ready for that in 4 more months Damien...FOUR MONTHS...that's it. Can you do that? HVT is silent for a moment... (HVT) - Sorry...gotta do it now! (Phone) - Damien!! Think about this...please! Don't... ::click:: HVT flips the phone close, and tosses it across the room onto a chair. The phone immediately starts to ring again, but Thugg simply ignores it as he gets out of bed and heads out of his room. No matter the consequences...Jamie "Jay Dawg" Drazon must die. Excellently put together piece there that really let us see what Thugg's thinking with accepting the challenge...but all this foreshadowing of a possible utter crippling of Thugg has me kind of worried.
