Guest Still Fly Report post Posted August 22, 2002 Murder Inc. signs boy band? According to the messageboards at BET.com: It seems that Murder Inc. has been on the lookout for what sells in the music business industry today. On Thursday, CEO Irv Gotti signed ex-mates of J-Records O-town to his label. "I got the call from one of my executives, saying they were free agents", said Gotti. "I definelty wanted to sign them, they got raw talent and the Inc. can introduce that to the rest of the world." O-town left J-records due to disagreements and conflicts resulting from their sophmore album. Ja Rule feels that adding the pop band to the lineup of the INC. will broaden their label and bring about a more diverse selection of fans. "Fans of O-town will become fans of me, Ashanti, Charlie, and the rest of our family", said the rapper. "We will gain new fans in light of this." ....Um...Irv, dear. No. Just NO. True that, But do you remember "Fuzzbubble"(Rock Group) with Bad Boy? Didn't Bad Boy have Dream as well? That kinda worked doubly well - popular girl group PLUS Puffy could pimp them out to people like R. Kelly...
Guest dilk bathoon Report post Posted August 22, 2002 actually, all the girls in dream are over then 16, which makes them too old for r. kelly.
Guest swan Report post Posted August 22, 2002 Somebody must not know that O-Town and boy bands like them are over. This cycle has run its course. O-Town played a concert here this past summer and barely sold 25% of the tickets.
