Bands that completely Deteriorated

I hate Aeorsmith,even though I'm from MA where it seeems everyone loves them. They should never have stoppped doing the drugs cause at one point I found them listenable and every album is more deppresing.

Actually, a band that hasn't been mentioned is Queen , before Freddy Mercury died. After 1980's The Game, the band had a few good songs left but the albums as a whole were just lacklustre

In all fairness, Queen were never really an album kind of band, more of a hit single orientated group.

 

Saying Sandinista is unlistenable is a bit harsh, there are some truely great songs on it (IMO), but it maybe is a bit long overall.

 

no arguements about the Beastie Boys though. While I enjoy Hello Nasty as a stand alone album, listening to it after Check your head or Ill Communication makes it seem really disapointing.

Iron Maiden went to shit when Bruce left

Sorry, but with The X Factor having some of my all-time favourite Maiden songs on it (Sign of the Cross, Look for the Truth), and Virtual XI (Which I've never heard all of) having excellent songs as well (Como Estais Amigos and Lightning Strikes Twice being two examples) I refuse to accept that they went downhill at ALL with those albums.

 

I mean, Bayley ain't Bruce, but he ain't bad. Besides, I think he fits the more depressing tone of The X Factor quite well.

 

And hey, listen to Bruce signing Sign of the Cross on Rock in Rio. You can't say that song is of any less quality then Maiden's other stuff. Well, maybe you can; But I can, because I = Maiden Mark.

 

Anyway...

 

Personally, I feel Metallica should be eligible for this, however. I mean, sure, Burton died, but really, in my eyes, it wasn't until Re-Load came out that they really released a piss-poor album. I mean, I like a handful of songs off of Load, but Re-Load has like, 2.

 

So while Cliff died, they stayed on their feet for another 2 albums, then began to slide, then they just feel off the fucking "Good Album" mountain. I think the difference in years here should make them elegible.

 

But that's just me.

older on drugs aerosmith = good

i think aerosmith have been releaing a mixture of good and crap songs throughout their career, and are now steering more towards the crap songs.
