...and I don't mean something that's still said a whole lot today. The song? Skinless - "The Optimist." Death metal, so I doubt most of you would like it (I barely do, but the music is killer, and the vocals aren't THAT bad). But the phrase right at the beginning is worth downloading the track...

"LIFE SUCKS...AND THEN, YOU DIE!"

...As said by VINCE McMAHON.

sorry to bust your bubble corey but the phrase itself has been around for years, prior to mr. mcmahon ever uttering those words. i seriously doubt he was the inspiration for the lyrics.

I think what Corey meant was that it had Vince saying it at the beginning.

Or maybe not.

Yeah, it has Mr McMahon saying it. Song kind of sucks though.

Vorey theres a local death metal band (Asphyxiation or something like that) that LOVES wrestling and Steve Austin in particular..ring any bells?

on a similar note

Weezer - "El Scorco"

"watching Johnny Grunge legdrop New Jack through a press table"

I liked the variation that my chemistry teacher used better - "Life's a bitch, then you marry one."

Method Man & Redman make wrestling referances on the Blackout album, also one of the videos has a wrestling match in it

ICP make lots of wrestling references...taken from "What Is A Juggalo?":

What is a juggalo? A HULKAMANIAC! He powerbombs motherfuckers into thumbtacks. People like him 'til they find out he's unstable. He Sabu'd yo' momma through her coffee table*!

* = In the background, a clip of Joey Styles yelling "OH MY GOD!" is heard.

Hell, both use a lot of wrestling references -- Method Man has used Lex Luger metaphors on more than one occasion. Scary, huh?

I haven't bought/downloaded a rap album in YEARS, but I'd purchase one if Meth or Redman say one the following on a track:

"I'll no-sell your right cross as if I was Goldberg"

"I'm above the glass ceiling like Triple H"

"Bitch don't worry I'm as stiff as Regal"

Yo yo yo

According to an old post at SlashWrestling's board, there's a punk band out there dubbed "The Dean Malenkos"

And yeah, ICP, Method Man and Redman have plenty of wrestling references in their music. One came to mind while reading this post... in ICP's "Fuck The World", they make reference to Jack Brisco, Jerry Brisco and Rocky Maivia.
