Rob E Dangerously Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 JR is right.. this is Flair's first WRESTLING appearance at Summerslam
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Oh god... Who's going to call the RVD/Benoit match. I don't want Cole calling my match...
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 True. Eddy-Edge would have made more sense as the opener, as it has no real story, and it should be a good match to get the crowd in it. Why is Jericho wrestling this early? From Undisputed World Champion to wrestling on the 2nd match on the PPV. Sigh.
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 I hear that Cole and Tazz will call the IC title match, JR and King will call the World title match
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Doesn't Cole calling Mysterio "Rey-Rey" sound a little, oh, I don't know, "gay-gay?" Either you've been reading Scott's re-posts, or you share the same ideas with some guy in a WCW 98 audience.
Guest CanadianChris Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 This is the first time I've ever seen Flair without "RF" stencilled in his tights. Yes, I know I'm a loser for noticing that.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 i'm guessing they'r saving the best(taker-test) for last I am guessing that is the designated piss break/go get nachos match before the main event.
Guest cartman Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 They should do the commentary by whomever the champion is and what show he is on
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 It's funny to see Tazz and Michael Cole just sitting there looking bored. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Well... it makes zero sense for RAW guys to call the main event. Brock is a SD! guy...and Rock floats. And when Rock doesn't float...he's a SD! guy too.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Then who should call the World Title match, since the champion is on both shows?
Guest cartman Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 also i'm guessing Edge's match will be next since it's a smackdown match...they're probably gonna alternate
Guest cartman Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Just go by whatever show the champion was drafted for...
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Bps: but, JR is a better announcer than Cole when it comes to making stuff seem important. At least they aren't splitting it and having Cole/King, Cole/JR, King/Tazz or JR/Tazz
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 This crowd is so hot that even Test and Brock should get heat. I said SHOULD.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 I saw JR and King during Heat. Aren't they doing the show? Why the fuck would they put Michael Cole on a PPV? JR/King is their senior announce team.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 I am guessing Ross/Lawler are calling the main event to give it more of a main event feel because Cole/Tazz seem to be the B Team announcers.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 I understand that... but from a split standpoint... it mazes no sense
Guest cartman Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 I saw JR and King during Heat. Aren't they doing the show? Why the fuck would they put Michael Cole on a PPV? JR/King is their senior announce team. Because they are totally splitting time with Raw/SD commentators for their respective matches. ALso with the Ref's too.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 I dunno about that, RobE; JR/Tazz wouldn't exactly be the worst combination they could come up with... Lawler rates just above Cole in my book.
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Brock is part of the Dangerhoss Alliance.. he will get heat.. oh, it's true. When was the last time the WWE ran in the Nassau Coliseum anyways? I figure that Taker/Test would be the match before the ME, then Brock goes over in the ME. I wonder how they'll get over putting the heel over in the Main Event
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 I am FEELING Jericho's tights. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Just out of curiosity, who are the Smackdown refs and who are the Raw refs? I have noticed that Lil Natch is on Raw, but I cannot say I have noticed who is who among the rest of them.
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 note to Silm Citrus: your dark font doesn't work well with my black background for this board
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 So far the guys who have wrestled have been busting ass out there.
Guest cartman Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Cant remember when the last Nassau show was but it's usually hot...Anywhere in the Northeast is usually hot crowds especially here in Providence and up in Boston.
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Random note: Flair and Jericho wrestled on the first Thunder, that was the match that started Jericho's heel turn, which resulted in his character today
