My memories are alot of the same as everyone else's

1. Road Dogg's run as Hardcore champ, always exciting, hard worked matches (and Russo put Billy gunn in that division why?)

2. Al Snow and Hardcore Holly's series

3. Any time I thought they were going to give Tazz a run with the belt

4. RVD almost bringing respectability back to the division

5. Dreamer-Stevie working their asses off

Road Dogg vs The Big Hossman. Not really for workrate or anything, but because it's the first match where I decided to sit down and give this pro wrestling thing a chance after hearing about the "new era" from friends.

Don't ask how Hossman or Dogg could make someone want to keep watching wrestling after that first match. I don't know, either. :P

Chalk up another vote for Raven/Rhyno... two of my fav's going at it, plus as Anglesault mentioned GORE GORE GORE... right into a shopping cart!

Also, Jeff Hardy vs. RVD at inVasion was awesome because it was the first time I saw RVD and his spots seemed really fresh and cool because I'd never seen 'em before.

Finally, Tommy Dreamer's recent worth with the belt, along with the killing of the 24/7 rule, gave me hope that the belt would be taken seriously. Alas, it wasn't meant to be, which sucks when the Dreamer/Richards Singapore Cane match is one of the most entertaining free TV matches in months.

My favorites moments......

Of course the Crash era. Man, remember the hundreds of title changes! All those crazy hardcore matches were awesome.

No doubt Mankind getting the belt was THE best hardcore moment of them all.....

Hardcore Holly vs Al Snow at St Valentines Day Massacre, where they ended up in the Mississippi River...

And RVD's great reign with the belt last year.

It's gotta be when Vince created the belt and gave it to Mankind. Who'd have known that this "joke" title would have such an illustrious life history?

Here's something sad:

RVD was booked stronger as Hardcore Champion than he is as IC champion.

His Hardcore Title reign brought more respectability to that shitty title then any undisputed champion has brought to that title.

Big Show dropping a car on.. Al Snow? Crash Holly? Hardcore Holly? I dunno who, but that was one hell of a visual.

I also loved RVD's Hardcore Title run, that was good stuff. And Dreamer v. Stevie, Singapore Cane Match owned me.

Crash's 24/7 stuff was good until it got old.

I really liked the match between Al Snow and Hardcore Holly in Kentucky, I do believe. Great overall worked match, it's the one which went out to the river - someone help me out here, which PPV was this, I have it on tape (as I do every WWF PPV since around 97) ..

i have very few good memories, but here they are:

Dogg and Holly somehow end up in water

Dogg and Holly fight in a frat house (remember Raw parties? HA!), and Holly goes through a convinently placed fish tank

Steve Blackman, totally invincible

RVD, hardcore main eventer

Shane McMahon, suicidal tendancies

and my 2 favorite hardcore matches:

last months cane match, and the GOREGOREGORE match. For a brief, shining moment, people gave a shit about Raven.

But here's the real best part of hardcore: unscripted backstage segments!

be it the hollow "ping" of aluminum pipes, Bradshaw going "huh, huh, huh" because he's fat, or Blackman and Holly desperatly trying to ad lib dialouge.

Nothing beat watching some of the worst wrestlers in the world trying to set up props, show unmentionable pain, or wait a little too patiently for the run in we all knew (and could hear) coming. It was so indy, it couldn't help but be cool.

Mighty Molly stir-frying Hurricane with her Holy Pan of Righteousness during Wrestlemania 2002--that's my favorite. She should have been in that Battle Royal.

Honorable mention--Crash in the playground against the Posse.

When the ho won the belt. Other than that, it was kind of cool when Mike Awesome came out of nowhere and won it.
