It honestly boggles the mind that ANY wrestling fan could somehow not like Chris Benoit. If the guy murdered my family and ran over my pets, I'd still love the guy. He's just one of those people that represents everything that's right about wrestling.

I just never got into what was so "great" about Benoit. His ringwork is good, but to steal a line..he's vanilla. His "character" is nothing I haven't seen a thousand times, and his only mannerism (thumb across the throat) has been used to death.

Pretty much agree here. I haven't seen his earlier work so I can't say. I'm judging solely on his work in WCW and now. If find his matches and personality to be quite boring. I can't believe the verbal blowjobs this guy gets around here. Unfathomable.

Let it be known I have no objection with Brock holding the REAL title, as long as the WWE makes somewhat of an effort to genuinely get the guy over. Letting HHH and Taker make him look like even more of a chump isn't going to help any.

well i wouldn't say that he was, but i think that's pretty irrelevant anyways. Every time i start to think benoit isn't that great he comes out with some thing thats just, FUCKING COOL like holding a hammerlock through 3 northern lights suplexes.
