Guest El Luchadore Magnifico Posted August 31, 2002 Report Posted August 31, 2002 Amazing intro to the show, whoever wrote that. I'm really looking forward to seeing where both Edwin and Thoth are going with the angles. Wilson retains in a very good match, nice job... 40th win on my birthday! Huzzah! Um, I'll comment on the rest in a bit...
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted August 31, 2002 Report Posted August 31, 2002 We better get Stephen Hawking a battle suit, because he is the only person smart enough to take Frost out. Frost rules so, so hard. The opening promo, for your information, was put together by Chris "Evil Bastard" Raynor and myself. I've breezed a few matches and examined the storylines, and this fits a post-PPV show mold quite well: wraps up what happened at Apocalypse, uses it to springboard into new stories, and gets the ball rolling on the path to our biiiiggest PPV. I particularly liked the Frost/Ash build and the Flesher/DeKindes build--there are some real money matches in that combination. Also, congrats to Mag picking up a big win over Breggan--the title match for next Storm has a lot more heat on it now. Good work, boyo!
Guest Ace309 Posted August 31, 2002 Report Posted August 31, 2002 ... okay, I'd just like to apologize for the lack of effort that went into the clan tag match and my "promo." I had concepts and everything for the promo, but I just ran out of time to execute it. As for the match, due to Silent's computer no-selling his matchwriting responsibilities, I came home at 4 PM to find out that only 1600 words of the match were done. Yuck. So I had to improvise an internal plot and a finish. More comments on the show later.
Guest Drew_K Posted August 31, 2002 Report Posted August 31, 2002 Hey, if everyone here could do me a favor, I'd love to get some comment's on the main event from Storm. Seeing as I wrote Wilson's match, I'd like to know how well it was recieved, and what I can do to improve my later matches. Thanks, all.
Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Posted August 31, 2002 Report Posted August 31, 2002 Kudos on a rockin post-PPV show, and I'd like to give a million thanks to Drew for finishing my match. Well, he finished it after I wrote a thousand words and gave him a gameplan, so he basically wrote the match for me. He couldn't of done a better job, and it shows that the JL doesnt' suck as much as some of us/you think. =) Nifty promo at the beginning, we actually have some ~storylines!~ and ELM is getting back to old form. Thumbs up.
Guest BA_Baracus Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed); "Hmmm... ...a puny JLer wrote the main event? How disturbing. More comments or I keeel you all! Mothernature says..."
Guest chirs3 Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 I am now a full fledged Tod DeKindes mark. That was some superb promo work. Diveflammer - shouldn't it be Diveflamer? One M? Other whise it's "Flam" like "Spam". Or something. Hope my match wasn't too offensive in quality - never was a big fan of 3500 limits, though I think I got a few good lines it. Stellar main event, written by a lowly JLer, no less... Scandalous! Line of the night: "...my ass REALLY hurts." Bravo. I'll head through a second time and post more later. Comment ya bastards!
Guest AnnieEclectic Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Drew wrote that? Wow.... don't bump him please, because I want to advance up the card. You know, hold down the more talented newbies so I can make myself look good. :-D oh wait... I'm the cute lesbian -Mick Foley- not the cute lesbian -Triple H- my bad. uh.... BANG BANG -Annie
Guest Tod deKindes Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 I didn't promo...did I? All I recall sending in was my match. Stupid memory.
Guest chirs3 Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 The promo that was the first part of your match, Tod.
Guest Tod deKindes Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Aha. Of course, right. ...It's what I meant to say.
Guest kelloggs Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Drew ownz as that main event was money. That is all. Well this was an after PPV show. It was pretty damn good and that opening promo was an epic. I love Raynor's character and it's new way of thinking and there's more to come as Edwin hasn't talked about this lady yet. Flesher/Tod and Ash/Frost look good but i'll have to really read instead of skim. Well if you can call what I did skimming. More comments later
