Guest Anglesault Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Okay, just like last month, several superstars have no real possible feud heading into the PPV. Our job it to figure out feuds for them RVD Kurt Angle Chris Benoit Triple H (UGH) Well, they have left less people out in the cold than they ususally do. Also, remember, we have to compensate for the horribly bad Test/Kane and Brock/Taker matches.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Just once, just once..I wish Kane or Test would put on a better match than "the overrated internet god" Chris Benoit, just to get people to shut up. Kane got a decent match out of Albert, and Test is a better worker than Albert is, so we'll see. But yes, Brock's match will suck.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 RVD: Jobs to HHH Kurt Angle: I have no clue... He'll beat someone. Chris Benoit: Jobs to Edge Triple H (UGH): Beats RVD
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Gah! This is much, much worse than Benoit losing. Angle will lose to Rikishi.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Just once, just once..I wish Kane or Test would put on a better match than "the overrated internet god" Chris Benoit, just to get people to shut up. Kane got a decent match out of Albert, and Test is a better worker than Albert is, so we'll see. But yes, Brock's match will suck. I sure as hell don't thin Benoit is overrated, but I do think Kane is underrated. He can put on some very good matches. As he returned on Raw, he has gotten in much better shape, so his slowness in the ring which made alot of people cringe, could improve greatly. I wish Kane gets a good push sooner or later.. I'd like to see him defeat Test, and move on to some kind of gold.
Guest Brian Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Overrated? I realize you're downright bitter about how people worship Benoit but most people on this board have no idea just how good Benoit is. On topic: HHH vs. RVD HHH jobs but with Michaels interference and the ifnish is forgotten within a week. Benoit: Beats Rikishi. Angle: HEAT.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 I think they're continuing the Edge/Eddie fued, so there's one good match. I can see RVD/Storm, Angle/Booker, and Benoit/Rey happening. As for HHH, I see him and Flair or Jericho. Guess who wins that one.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 I think you and I agree that the only way to counteract the Taker and Kane matches would be to burn down the fucking arena. That said, RVD seems like he's about ot be swallowed up by HHH. (check out the torch thread). Benoit seems to have some options. He could face Edge, given his alligence with Gurrero. Of course, then Eddy would have nothing to do. He could feud with Kishi, given what happened on Smackdown. (Note to self: Hang self from ceiling fan) He could be put into the main event after Taker's spotty win. (not likely) He could go after Angle in sort of a No. 1 contender redux match. Angle's not as lucky. He could get the Benoit match up or the unlikely main event add on. But other than that, he's got nothing. Rey is in that "fight random midcarders cuz I'm between feuds" stage, so a rematch is unlikely. Most likely the'll stick him with some tool like Cena at the last minute.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 According to the WWE somewhere, it'll probably have a Jericho/Flair rematch. Can we start a pool on how many things it'll take Jericho to pin Flair?
Guest MaxPower27 Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 EPD: I think it'll only be 2 runins and a foreign object. Flair isn't that bad. HHH, on the other hand would require 5 steel chairs, 14 ring bells, 7 runins, a wrecking ball, and a 9mm. After the hand hits the mat for the 3rd time, HHH kicks out, and attacks Jericho to get his heat back
Guest DJ Jeff Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Well, here's what I think the Unforgiven card will be: WWE Undisputed Championship Brock Lesnar© vs. the Undertaker Triple Threat Match WWE Intercontinental Championship Rob Van Dam© vs. Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero (This is after RVD defects to Smackdown). WWE Tag Team Championship Lance Storm & Christian© vs. Booker T & Goldust WWE Cruiserweight Championship Jamie Noble© vs. Rey Mysterio Kane vs. Test I Quit Match Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair (This could be Flair's last match, so Jericho would get the win). Triple H vs. Eric Bischoff (This would be for Lesnar defecting to Smackdown, and thus HHH no longer being the #1 Contender for the WWE Undisputed Title). #1 Contender's Match For The WWE Undisputed Title At No Mercy Kurt Angle vs. Edge So, really there would only be 2 rematches.
Guest alfdogg Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Kurt Angle vs. Edge I seriously fear for your life when Anglesault comes back to this thread.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 *ducks* It's more likely that Benoit will be fed to the Great Edge Push. Angle will job to Rico in a dark match.
Guest alfdogg Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 No, Eddy will probably be fed to Edge again. You think they're gonna let an Edge job go unavenged?
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 eeh..maybe. Another Hair v Hair match?
Guest Flyboy Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 NO! Then, Eddy would lose power of the mullet.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 *Eddy poses, Edge spears him* "DORK!" *Eddy goes for the frog splash, Edge moves* "DORK!" Wow..smell the ratings on that. "See us feed Latino Heat to Edge~!"
Guest Vern Gagne Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Smell the Ratings brought up something interesting. Sticking a third man in the Main Event. It's unlikely but look who's expected to job to Lesnar...Undertaker. Granted we could get Undertaker put Lesnar over clean, or have Heyman intefere. But what if Kurt Angle came out and said he wasn't pinned, so he belongs in the match. Later that night Angle beats Undertaker with help from Lesnar. Angle is put in the main event, and we have ourselves a willing job boy. Benoit would actually be a more likely canidate, but I only mentioned Angle because he wasn't pinned last week.
Guest midnight_burn Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Edge will probably defeat both Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit on the same night. Kurt Angle will get stuck with John Cena or something. Cena shall win.
Guest Caliban Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 There's a small glimmer of hope that we'll get an Angle / Benoit feud, with Angle slowly turning face as the feud progresses. The seeds are there - Benoit threw Angle out of the ring, which gave Undertaker the opportunity to pin Benoit. So Angle and Benoit should now have a problem with each other. Key word though, is should.
Guest Anglesault Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 No, not Angle/Benoit. One of them will have to turn, and I HATE their face characters. AND NOT EDGE/ANGLE
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Although we all know Taker jobs to NO ONE, i was looking at it like this. Benoit and Angle both, in my view (by gawd! by gawd!) have a legitamite claim at getting a big lead pipe crammed up thier ass by Smackdown's shitty booking. And one of them will be stuck dragging a loser like Cena or Mark Henry or some other crap through the opener, but the other will be left with nothing. We'll have to see were they go next week. Benoit and Angle could keep at it with Taker and each other, or start new feuds with random guys. (Rico just made a pass at Chris Benoit! WHAT'S THIER RELATIONSHIP?!?!) and I agree with 'Sault, Angle and Benoit suck dick as faces. If they fight, let it be over the contendership so they can stay heels.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 No, not Angle/Benoit. One of them will have to turn, and I HATE their face characters. AND NOT EDGE/ANGLE What are you talking about? Angle vs. Edge=ratings. Actually, I'd prefer that over Angle vs. Benoit.
Guest Quik Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Rico vs. Benoit in a Lube on a Pole match. I hate Steph
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 I'd like to see Angle and Benoit go at it for the #1 contendership at the PPV. Who cares if it's heel vs. heel--the fans will get behind one guy or the other during the match, and that's all it takes.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Actually, seeing as how both Angle and Benoit deserve to be the #1 Contender for the WWE Undisputed Title, I hope they have a match with the winner facing the champion at No Mercy. That would mean we'd have Edge vs. Guerrero at Unforgiven again.
Guest Caliban Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Angle's face character sucked last year, but there are several reasons for that. 9-11 heat, forced promos, cheap heat, etc. Angle is at the stage now where fans are starting to cheer him anyway because they dig his act and his abilities. His character doesn't really need to change at all. The only difference would be that he feuds with heels rather than faces. Seriously, I think it could work this time around.
Guest CanadianChick Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 Doesn't anyone else think that the main event will be a triple threat:Brock vs. Undertaker vs. HHH? Since HHH is the "number 1"contender on RAW. they could throw him in there. I think that this would be good because instead of HHH and Undertaker making two matches suck, they would only make 1 match suck.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 1, 2002 Report Posted September 1, 2002 We can only hope, CC. The only thing..HHH would probably win. YES!..uh..no! ò.ó any of those three guys is a bad choice for champion.
