Highlights include his matches with Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Bobby Eaton, Vader, Butch Reed, Nikita Koloff, Ricky Steamboat and Barry Windham. Well Done I might say. -Hulk Hogan video package. This blows since he's had 2 matches with WCW by this point on TV. Wait, 3. -Hogan promo. He rakes heads of lettuce against a steel fence. Good thing he stopped doing these rambling promos, cause he is GASPING for air every sentence. -Interview with Arn Anderson, Meng and Col. Parker. -Bischoff & Okerlund aknowledge Ali entering the arena. -Pre-Show Match: Brian Armstrong Vs. Booker T (w/ Stevie Ray): This was suppose to be Brian & Brad (A.K.A Arachniman, Candyman, Badstreet) Armstrong Vs. Both members of Harlem Heat, but Brad got under the weather. Lock up to start and both men break clean(!). Booker screams a LOT when executing an armbar. Brian reverses with a armbar of his own and breaks. Brian is former WWF star Road Dogg. Booker T grabs a hammerlock but Armstrong reverses with a wristlock, and T goes to the outside for a break. Booker man with several knee lifts and unloads some heavy rights. Shoulderblock puts B.A. down but he gets up with a backdrop and diving forearm for a 1 count. Booker with shoulder thrusts to the midsection in the corner and more punching. Armstrong with a crossbody block off the ropes for 2, then connects with an armdrag into a armbar. Crowd goes nuts for Ali as he takes his seat in the front row. Booker gets slammed for 2. Honky Tonk Man: Honky is from Honkyland, U.S.A, possibly the funniest hometown ever.....next to Zodiac, Shark, Kevin Sullivan & Arachniman. Badd is almost gay free, but he's got a double shot of the badd blaster for us. HTM is dressed like Jerry Lawler oddly, with the one shoulder strap. Stalling to start obviously. BTW, its 10 minute time limit for this title at this PPV. Honky hammers the left arm of Badd until Johnny takes over with an armbar. HTM with some more rights until he misses and Badd scores an Atomic Drop and he messes up Honky's hair. More stalling. More mention of Sting on the Superstar Line. Snapmare & chinlock by you know who. Badd with more elbows and HTM with a knee lift. Boots by Badd and Honky eats buckle. 10 punches of doom! make that 5! Jabbing by the badd-man. Back elbow scores, but the Kiss that don't miss misses so you can't call it that no more. HTM with a backsuplex and choking. Badd chokes him back. Time Limit expires just as Badd cradles HTM at 10:00. 1/4* Badd beats HTM up after the bell. Blah. -History of Hulk Hogan & Ric Flair. Dave turned face thanks to Hulk, who gave him the magic slippers from WM III, so Kevin beats him up for it at the 10-9 Main Event. -Dave Sullivan Vs. Kevin Sullivan: Wow, WCW steals Brother vs. Brother idea from WWF, only they aren't even real brothers. Dave has the worst theme music ever, besides the Plumber in the WWF in 1996. "I wanna be a Hulkamaniac" is so annoying. Dave does a VERY bad Hogan imitation. Dave with a back elbow sending Kevin out, and chase follows. A chase, not Chevy Chase. Kevin steps on him a lot and slaps him around. More boots and a Clothesline. yawn. Dropkick by Kevin. Dave with a elbow and buckles Kevin 10 times. Clothesline & Backdrop follows. Dustin begged Arn to be his partner against Terry Funk & Bunkhouse Buck at BATB 94 and Arn turns on him, breaking his arm in the process. -"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes Vs. Arn Anderson (w/ Col. Parker & Meng): History is made. Arn breaks both Rhodes arms in his career. Double A broke big Dusty's arm in both 1985 & 1988 and now his son's. Dustin's theme song sucks. Inverted aAtomic drop but Dustin charge misses and he CLEARS the top rope and ring steps, and lands about 3 or 4 feet up the aisle. now THATS a bump. Arn DDT's the snot out of him afterwards and beats on his arm some more for fun. -<Mean Gene is with Hulk Hogan, Brother Bruti & Jimmy Hart. -Jim Duggan/Steve Austin video package. Austin was awarded the US Title at Fall Brawl due to Steamboat's injury (which lead to his retirement). So Nick Bockwinkle orderd him to defend against Jim Duggan, who would go on to win the title within 15 seconds of the first contact. So heres ANOTHER Fall Brawl rematch. -WCW-United States Championship Match: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan © Vs. "Stunning" Steve Austin: I just realized Stunning is another word for his WWF finisher, the stunner. Why wasn't AA DQ'd when he did it to Rhodes? *¼ next. -Mean Gene is with Sting now. -Vader/Guardian Angel recap. Vader beats up GA a lot, so he snaps and beats up Harley Race, the manager. -Guardian Angel Vs. Vader (W/ Harley Race): Two talented big men, that's odd. Sting is with Ali now, and Vader walks up to him screaming you da man or something. Angel the role model beats up Race from behind. Stall. Finally they lock up and Angel slaps him silly. Vader hammers away with those devestating soupbone punches to the side of the head. clothesline by The Master of the world and Angel is sent packing. Hogan weighs in at 268 1/2 pounds. Cage is very low. Only 7 feet (plus the ring). Hogan hammers away and T breaks it up for some reason. Flair gets beat up more but gets his share of offence also. Hogan with a backdrop and clothesline. Flair eats bandana and Hogan with the 10 punches of severe miscomfort. 10 Stomps of Severe Pain and a foot choke. T gets pissy and Flair rakes the eyes. Chop! Flair with some knee drops and a suplex, and its HULK UP TIME! Clotheslines to both Flair & Sherri. Slams all around. Boot to sherri. Boot To Flair. Sting comes back and scares them all away, and its time to send this home. Thumbs Up for a good card. .500 isn't too bad.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2002 I really hope that **** was on the sliding Hogan scale for his matches, because although it was good, it wasn't four stars when compared to some other matches. One of Hogan's best, without a doubt, but in reality, it was probably ***.
