Rob E Dangerously Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 They should modify Funaki's music for when he wrestles to a tune with him singing "Funaki! #1 announcer ooooon Smackdown! Funaki! Funaki!" and so on
Guest Ram Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Matt shouldn't be jobbing when it seems like he's getting some kind of push. Especially to BOB f'n HOLLY. And Hurricane...to CRASH f'n HOLLY?! What the fucking hell? Are they in Hollytown tonight or something? And if they are, why are they still not over?
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Let's see....::pulls out list of bad ideas:: Gay wedding...................check Job Tajiri to Mark Henry...check Job Hurricane to Crash....check
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 This is seriously like the Smackdown that will never end. It just keeps gooooooooooooooooooooooooing and it's boooooooooooooooooring.
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Benoit's haircut is the same as Undertaker. That is all.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 um, what the fuck is going on. Why are they all attacking each other? They need to COMBINE their jobber powers, not divide them!
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame finish.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 And no Brock run in!?!? WTF?! What a horrid Smackdown. Way too many backstage skits with magic cameras, too many Holly matches, Gay Wedding angles, Undertaker squashing everyone and not even a Brock run in. Really bad show.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 You know, C&B's theme song *still* kicks so much ass
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Smackdown fucking sucked. What a boring, crappy, shitty, gay show. This was worse than Raw. SK is right when he says that it's gunna get slaugthered in the ratings. If it makes above 3.0, it's a miracle.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I blame UT. He's been on SD 2 weeks, and both shows have been below the quality we've grown accustomed to
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I blame UT. He's been on SD 2 weeks, and both shows have been below the quality we've grown accustomed to You could point at him for the blame, but I wouldn't really JUST point at him. The writers have been horrible, the finishes to matches sucked, the booking made no sense, ugh. Just a horrible, horrible show. It's amazing they can fuck up their shows this much after coming off one of the best PPVs in WWE history. What a fucking joke this company is. I seriously would like to see what they say to each other at meetings everyday as far as their motive goes. Do they even HAVE a motive in this company? Is there any goals at all? What junk. What a shitty year to be a wrestling fan...the exact opposite of 2000/2001.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I really wasn't being serious, but it does seem odd that they move UT over to SD, and then the quality takes a downturn
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 What a crap show. Matt Hardy finally develops something called apersonality and what happens? He jobs to Bob "I only have heat because of TE" Holly, which does NOTHING for him, but it doesn't end there... Hurricane is inexplicably jobbed out to Crash, who didn't have ANY sort of TV time until Monday when he was made to be some sort of "important" signee from RAW. What horseshit. I liked two matches from this show. Moore/Knoble and Brock/Orton. Everything else was garbage. ANd what was with all these fucking skits tonight? It's not friggin' RAW, so don't make it, dammit.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Smackdowns like these make me happy...happy I read the spoilers, said FUCK THIS, and did not watch the show. Thanks WWE.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Smackdown was as terrible as Raw this week. Lame finishes, too many backstage segments, Hollys winning their matches, and Undertaker vs. Brock build-up backstage with no follow-up from a Lesnar run-in during the main-event.
Guest Angle-plex Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Crash beats Hurricane Hardcore beats Matt Edge pins Eddy (AGAIN) Billy & Chuck getting married VERY boring Brock/Taker interview Way to many backstage skits Every Steph Segment (ALL were pointless) Smackdown SUCKED!
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 I'm just sitting here thinking about how massacred the ratings are going to be. It was pre-emptied everywhere, the show's quality was fucking dog shit...ugh. What a mess. They need end this roster split so we get all the talent on both shows and don't have fucking Crash Holly beating people in the semi-main event.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Jamie Knoble is announced at 200 lbs?
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Edge pins Eddy (AGAIN) Taker pinned Eddy, dude.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Yeah, I'm sure that Rikishi shirt w/ the ass on the back is going to be a big seller
Guest MaxPower27 Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 A few quick things: -What is the 3.0? I know it's Mike Sanders' finisher, but what is the move? -Just looking at Kurt's tights, and they were pink when it was on the hard cam. -I like Chuck and Rico, but the gay wedding is going to suck. -Kurt's promo wasn't as funny as I hoped. -I'm glad I was making a milkshake during the Mark Henry squash. Get him off of my TV, NOW!! -Jamie Noble is God. That is all!
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 -What is the 3.0? I know it's Mike Sanders' finisher, but what is the move? Okay, let's pretend you were wrestling someone and you got them into position for Christian's Inverted DDT. Instead of dropping down and completing the move, you arrange it so that your opponent is stretched backwards across your back and then you drop down holding onto the headlock. That's the 3.0.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 Glad I watched Blade II instead of SD tonight. Yuck. And y'know, Raw was decent until HHH got put on it. Hmm.. ò.ó Somebody needs to go break Taker and HHH's legs, or something.

Guest Breetai Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 if Brock is lacking heat, he could always attack Sara Taker Yeah, and then he'll have to job to her in a title match and sell all her moves.
Guest Olympic Slam Posted September 6, 2002 Report Posted September 6, 2002 This show seriously lacked star power. It wasn't until the main event that it felt like a Smackdown, everything before it was just like an episode of heat or velocity. I have nothing against mid-carders, but isn't this supposed to be the greatest pro-wrestling roster of all time? I have no idea what they're planning for Crash. I figured he was moving over to SD because the hardcore division was scrapped and SD could use another cruiser to job on a regular basis. Instead I see him escape the blockbuster, eye of the hurricane, and a top rope neckbreaker all to win with a rollup.........confusing.

I wish there was a video of it since the move itself is pretty hard to describe accurately. I'll give it one more shot: You hold the guy in a reverse side headlock with his back on yours and then you drop down holding onto the headlock and the guy's neck snaps back on your left side. Gah... that didn't work either.
