Guest Ace309 Report post Posted September 7, 2002 Show going up. TONS of promos, all of which look impressive.

Guest Ace309 Report post Posted September 7, 2002 Quite the eventful show. I was particularly impressed with the six-man tag, and I guess something important happened near the end of the card, something about Magnifico... bah, can't be that big a deal. And yeah, holy shit. Guest Thoth Report post Posted September 7, 2002 Congrats to ELM... but where's Sacred/Silent? That match was supposed to set up the storyline for that promo I posted! I was supposed to get hit with a chair, and a bunch of other stuff... I'mma kill Silent!
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted September 7, 2002 Damn, yo. I essentially got beat twice at the end of the match, which sucks, but hey--to the winner go the spoils. In any case, this was definitely better than my notso-hotso effort this time around. Congrats to the fellow Carnie on a triumphant title win! September must be your month, Mag. Now, you better just hope they don't give me a rematch...heh heh heh. ::clinks a toast:: Now I can retire and loaf around like Thugg! Woo!
Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted September 7, 2002 PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed); "No shows suck. It looks pretty silly when some guy writes a promo, referring to the match they were supposed to be in that they didn't write. Anywho...the rest was pretty good. Kick bum main event, and Annie was with M7 all along! Hmmm...and I bet she was just jobbing left and right to throw us off the trail. Yeah, that must be it. Mothernature says..." Guest AnnieEclectic Report post Posted September 7, 2002 Of COURSE that's it Stubby, don't you know? But really, may I say that maybe I don't know my own character enough, as I don't even think I'd let myself kick out of the boilermaker. Wow! Thank's Tom for making me look strong at the end in a loss. Promos galore, and I was wondering why Thoth's promo made no sense.... Tod v. Flesher: it's coming you better believe it, I think. WOO! Rushed Heel Turn! Bah, just wait for the promos to come, they will be fun Main Event time and... what's this? Read it, for you will go "Holy Shit" and then you will say.... "Holy Shit" -Annie
Guest kelloggs Report post Posted September 7, 2002 Uh...yeah...promo's out the ass here. And all of them are great. Tod does three promo's. You's a workhorse son. Heel Raynor is very money in my book. And for some reason I just really like his writing style. I don't know why but I do. And yeah I was wondering what happened with that Thoth promo... Divefire was the Savior of Enlightenment which I only know a little bit about. But anyways Divefire and Outcast...that be oldschool...And I didn't really know the history but I get the feeling I'll be learning soon. And that Divefire's such a bastard saying Tylers wife would have been better of with Riley. Guess that was apart of an angle before my time. Flesher impresses again and I was wondering why you kicked out of the Annie T...good match and funny comments throughout. Bo and Divefire win. This be a good match as Bo vents some anger here. Annie E. heel turn...I don't know why but I thought it might happen. The hints were there but so was the doubt. I marked like a bitch when everything connected. Six man owned as I love the things, there just so much to read. And something happened at the end of the show. There was a LONG paragraph by a booking guy that likes to hold people down. But before that a match happened. And one Raynor run-in, Baha Cali-Crusher AND Tex-Mex Pride Press later...ELM wins...meh no biggie. M. Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted September 7, 2002 My god, so many promos! The fans would be kicking themselves in the nuts if they had to go that long without a match, but that's not their fault. --Deeply disappointed in no Silent/Sacred--this match could have been really huge for either of them, a really big win for either man. Now nobody gets it. I mean, the angle that sets up the big handicap tag match for Smarkdown is truly awesome, and you can feel the Silent/Thoth situation totally about to explode...but it looks really stupid, cause the match isn't there. If people are going to no-show, they need to tell each other so someone can get *something* in. The Breggan/Pete no-show is also really unfortunate, because again--huge match for whoever pulled out the win. Not as bad because there's no giant storyline hinging on it, but really, all four of these guys are on the cusp of really leaping forward, and this coulda been a huge show. Promo time--tons of huge angles going on here. --First off, Tod's cycle throughout the show is great--Flesher's injury cop-out last show was an awesome way of furthering the angle, and now Tod goes to the tried-and-true "fuck up his ride" method of antagonism. I'm all over that. --LDP lays down a challenge for Wilson...it looks like we've got 5 shows before the PPV, and I bet people are going to be gunning for Wilson every step of the way to get their last licks in. This, however, should be one of the best of those confrontations, as we've had an on-off but tremendously consistent build over the last two months of events. If LDP could win the ICTV title off Wilson...what a boon that'd be. --Moving on--the battle of the crappy Linkin Park remixes is on! Seriously though--the Saviour and the Prophet coming to confrontation? I figured DF was the Saviour, but having them actually capitalize on it...well, I feel like these two old mates already have something wonderful lined up for the show after Genesis. To answer Mak's question: And that Divefire's such a bastard saying Tylers wife would have been better of with Riley. Guess that was apart of an angle before my time. You're right--before most of our times, actually. That angle was picking up in January/February of 2001. Over a year and a half ago! Talk about old-school, and talk about a mark-out moment--to me, this would be like Shawn Michaels coming out to cut a promo on HHH in this day and age, but then Bret Hart shows up to cut him off. Very, very cool. --And now, onto the Annie bidniz: quite the swerve there. I felt it was telegraphed a bit because of the earlier promo--when she showed up this time, I knew something was up. However, altogether it worked as a solid, self-contained swerve. We're getting knee-deep in evil once again... Haven't touched on matches much yet, but Raynor's impressive win and truly DICKISH~! assault on me in the main event spell some major troubles on the horizon, I can only imagine. Since we're talking about angles, I'll talk about the end of the main event--Mag handled that to a T, putting things in a shape wherein he gets credit for a big victory, but Edwin has a very clear reason to want some revenge. A simple continuation of existing events, but one done most excellently.
Guest Tyler McClelland Report post Posted September 7, 2002 That angle was picking up in January/February of 2001. Shit, dude... it was that long ago?!? Damn, I feel old...
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted September 7, 2002 That angle was picking up in January/February of 2001. Shit, dude... it was that long ago?!? Damn, I feel old... Yeah...I remember the whole Riley/Outcast/Laura love triangle, with Neilsen cutting in with the supposed rape and anything...it was probably the first big "storyline" I read here, a couple months before I debuted. You fools have been around a long time!
Guest Longdogger_Pete Report post Posted September 7, 2002 Meh to Thugg. I didn't have time to write a promo OR write a match. But anyway. I'll probably have some promo-age for Smarkdown (or maybe before?) and I'll be ready to roll again come next Storm. Good show... liked the promos from Tod... hmm, we seem to be running short of Niners though... gotta fix that. And congrats to ELM on a championship well earned. Guest Kibagami Report post Posted September 7, 2002 Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. This is being posted from a friend's house, because my cable modem is out right now and has been for THIRTY-SIX HOURS, which is why I pay 60 bucks a month, you know, so it can go out all weekend. Needless to say, there was SUPPOSED to be a promo at the beginning of the show, which didn't happen due to my procrastination and my cable company's general dickishness. Sorry to those who were inconvienced by this admittedly monsterous fuck-up. Thoth, I can see I have a PM, and I can't seem to get into my control panel on this shitty computer, so I'm assuming that it's from you about the handicap tag we asked for. I have no idea when or if I'll have reliable internet access by tomorrow, but if I don't, PM me what you have and try your best to get something handed in. Sorry, dude. And now, I'm off to hunt down GMP's headquarters and kill them all with a rusty kitchen utensil. Hopefully, I'll be back sometime tonight or tomorrow to read all my "you useless fucking no-shower" fan mail. And yes, I am a useless fucking no-shower. Argh. S. Guest Coffin Surfer Report post Posted September 8, 2002 Edwin/Elm match review to be edited in, sometime soon. SON OF A MOTHER FUCKING BITCH! JUST WHEN I'AM AT THE END OF MY DETAILED MATCH REVIEW THE FUCKING SITE KICKS ME OFF THE REPLY SCREEN AND TAKES ME RIGHT BACK TO THE NORMAL COMMENTS SCREEN! I HIT THE BACK ERROR, IT TAKES ME BACK TO THE REPLY SCREEN BUT EVERYTHING I WROTE WAS GONE! WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT SHIT! FUCKING UNSTABLE BOARD! I'll summarize my review really fast. EDWIN/ELM match rating: ****1/2 MOTYC Great match that featured some of the best high spot teasing I've ever read since joining this fed. All the reversals and counters are perfect. The build of this match reminds me of Kawada/Kobashi 98 Triple Crown **** 3/4 match. ELM's first finisher tease is a thing of beauty since it's perfectly logical that he could hit the move at that point and win the match. Edwin's finisher tease right after would also be perfectly bought, if we didn't obviously know who wrote the match. The only flaw is that some of the teased highspots at the begining were never excuted later. And the run in sucked. Still a perfectly worthy match to upset the champ. Guest Divefire Report post Posted September 8, 2002 Yeah...I remember the whole Riley/Outcast/Laura love triangle, with Neilsen cutting in with the supposed rape and anything...it was probably the first big "storyline" I read here, a couple months before I debuted. You fools have been around a long time! Since the begining, baby! Er hem, but yes the Outcast/Divefire stuff is only just begining and you just know that with us two involved the angst is about to hit the fan... And funny you should mention Riley, Eddy Mac... The show seemed decent to me, aside from the no shows... ELM wrote one of his monsters to capture the title and all credit to him and also Edwin, one hell of a champion and talent. He'll be back. The Wilson/Annie story line was a nice swerve, nothing I shouldn't expect from my old rival though. Oh and a public BIG thumbs up to my writing partner Bo for doing a hell of a first part to our match, sorry the second half was not so hot... Damn rust. Ah, I missed this... Guest Perfect_Bo Report post Posted September 9, 2002 Didnt read the whole thing...but Divefire...the editing that you did was superb...very impressive...I was at the 'wiz' and they only gave me so much time to read the match...which I did when you send me the PM...and I was happy, but....I got cut off... ELM won in a match that wasnt 2938742930872039480293 words...very impressive ELM... Remember what we talked about before. SIlent/Sacred very very sad... Lerrin and Pete...again...very very sad...
