Guest benoitrulz4life Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 Ok, I have no CD-RW, but I have files from Kazaa that I would like to have on CD. A friend of mine has a CD-RW, but I don't know how to send the files to his computer. I don't have a zip drive. Any advice?
Guest Eagan469 Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 Over the internet, if possible. If you both have AOL Instant Messenger you can send the files when you're both logged on. Or, you can use Winzip to compress and split the files, then save them to floppies. Remember, he must have Winzip also in order to unzip the files on the floppies you give him. Hope this helps
Guest benoitrulz4life Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 Thanks Eagen, I'll try your suggestions. I already knew about the AOL Messenger, but I never knew anyone who actually tried it and it worked. I've tried Winzip before but I must have done something wrong because it didn't work.
Guest razazteca Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 if you have a fast connection like cable or DSL you could use the internet. Use WinMx, agree to meet at a chatroom then share files there.
Guest areacode212 Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 If you're like me and you have a shitty 56k connection, that's going to take forever. Try asking around for someone who has a zip drive (they were pretty common at one point, so chances are someone you know has one), and beg him to borrow it.
Guest swan Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 Find somebody with an external zip or CD_RW. Or maybe one of those on-line storage sites, if you have broadband of course.
Chunk Posted September 19, 2002 Report Posted September 19, 2002 Dunno, if help is still wanted on this one, but heres a few ideas i quickly, thought of. 1) You could always zip em up using winzip and then send them by good old e-mail. 2) If you have some webspace given to you by your ISP, then you could upload them to the space, and then download then at your friends house. 3) If you have an mp3 player, then you could save them to your Flash card and then upload them at your friends house (by taking your flash reader to his/her house and then hooking it up to his/her PC). Cant strain my brain to think of anything else at the mo LOL ChUnK!
