Guest chirs3 Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Just thought I'd kick it off by mentioning my promo mid show was put up on the board beforehand. I sent it to you just to look over, Stubby. Heh... Anywho, if anyone wants to edit it out, feel free to do so. Now, to actually read the show!
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Woo, I lost. I WANTED to write a good match and all...but sickness, homework, and other stuff bogged me down. Hell, ask Z...I was desperately writing last night, and even this afternoon, to put together ANY match. Meh...I REQUESTED a match with Raynor to see if I could beat him, and let myself down by not being able to churn out a good match. Sorry to dissapoint challenge-wise Chris...but meh. Anyhoo...rest of the show looks spiffy, and now I read it!
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted September 10, 2002 I got it, Chris. Now, to bed--show in the morn'! And TNT: you got a match in. That's still impressive, and a hell of a lot cooler than no-showing. Applause.
Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted September 10, 2002 PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed); "What's with this promo tom-foolery? Oh, and yes...showing and losing is lot better than no-showing because you think you "can't win anyways". Pretty good show (especially for a Smarkdown). Mothernature says..." Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Herm, waiting for the card to go up [will it be up soon Stubby?] so I decided to read the opening promo tonight... GREAT promo there, and the revelation of the new Carnie leader was, while not INCREDIBLY surprising, still a mark-out moment. Great way to start the show, and though I thought it was just a BIT too happy-happy-joy-joy corny for my tastes, I really liked the ending, what with the par-tay and whatnot. Oh, and...ME written by JD? What has this World come to!?

Guest Ace309 Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Um, in my match, where it says "Cerebral Driver," pretend it says "Spirit Breaker." Mark Stevens was... drunk. Yeah. More comments later.
Guest Ace309 Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Edwin, I demand you drop out of school to provide us with the ridiculously in-depth comments we were getting this summer. It's for the good of the fed, dammit~!
Guest HVilleThugg Report post Posted September 10, 2002 See, now that's the problem with being a booker...nothing's ever a surprise anymore. Storyline wise, the show was predictable...mainly because I knew what was going to happen before the show. No biggie there. TNT/Raynor was rather close...unexpectedly so for that matter considering that TNT rushed his match at the last minute. I liked how Raynor portrayed the characters and his ending better, which is why iit got the nod. But honestly, it could have gone either way. The promo at the top of the show...well written. Predictable...but well written. Although, Z as the leader of the Carnival was a surprise...not sure how I feel about that though. If you ask me, having ELM as leader would have made more sense, or even having Stevens come out and do somethjing similar to Sarah and lead the Carnies. Os Spark would have been cool...which is what I was looking for. But, I think Z in there has some potential...I'll have to see how it goes before I make a comment on that...because it could be good, especially with the way his character is. Z, does this mean you're back?? ready for Matches?? PM me. Let's see...whatelse. I skimmed matches and they seemed to be of decent quality. Wilson loses...as expected....because I think he no showed. I'd be mad about it if I didn't see it coming. History has a way of repeating itself...and I knew that Wilson was holding off leaving for Genesis...which meant that he'd be no showing like crazy. Oh well... Main event...again, predicable. I think it was a decent read...but all the while I knew exactly what was going to happen...with Thoth and Silent losing and then Silent beating on Thoth with his cane. Still...good plot progression leading to the inevitable matchup at Genesis. I know, I"m being excessively harsh today...sorry. Don't take anything I've said personally...as I recognize that every show can't have some super-duper surprise. Still, the show was solid with plots progressing nicely and everyone still going strong. Da "so mean...so very mean" H
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Just did run through number one, promos. Opening Promo: Panic attacks are cool. Z was so great in this. "You said I just had to come out and make faces!" Pete/Sarah: XF9 falling apart? God I hope not. XF9 = greatness. Tod/Flesher: Short, but not bad. I'm wondering what that "fucking nazi" was supposed to segue into though. Edwin/Raynor: My hats off to Edwin, because that was quite the backstage-brawl he wrote. I especially like the beginning, where Raynor's counting the number of times he's mentioned in the SWF Magazine. Priceless. Thoth/Silent: An inceredibly cool ending to this, with Thoth standing up after a billion and four cane shots, then getting nearly killed right after it, and Silent laying down the challenge. VERY nice. I'll go check out the matches now. More comments to come.

Guest Suicide King Report post Posted September 10, 2002 Sigh... the stable I created is now in the hands of Z?
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted September 11, 2002 Damn right, King! And legend has it that he no-shows almost as often as you did way back in the day. We may have another winner here! (Note: Edwin also no-showed a lot back then, but hey, we can all forget that, can't we?)
Guest Suicide King Report post Posted September 11, 2002 ::chuckles:: Hey, I like Z. Good writer that one. I just have to object since I'm a heel now and stuff.
