Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 Bisch has been phenomenal so far, IMO. He doesn't need a foil right now, because that would just turn raw into the same old babyface vs. heel owner schtick that I'm quite sick of. Just have him be a greasy bastard for a while, have Storm/Christian job the belts to Booker/Goldust, and have the samoans kill everyone in the meantime to build up as monsters to beat Booker/Dust. Kill everyone as in other tag teams, not just random token old timers and lesbians. Have 'em squish RVD a week before the HHH match, just to make him more of an underdog, which will make it more glorious when HGH jobs. Keep Bisch as the guy who pays them to do awful things, and just be a wretched shit in general.
Guest deadbeater Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 A foil is required for sake of balance and to keep the protagonist in check. Sherlock Holmes needed Prof. Moriarty for a real challenge, or else he would have create one like Data did. Q needed Picard so he would learn that just because you can one should not treat other beings as toys to play with. Hulk Hogan needed Piper, Andre, Savage and others play their parts in order for him to emerge as The Immortal One. The nWo needed Sting to hold them in check so fans will know that there is someone who can stop the onslaught. The Rock needs HHH, Mankind and Lesnar in order to humble him. Bischoff has no one to be scared of as of yet. Sooner or later that will be as problematic as Lawler. The fans certainly do not want an abrupt deux ex machina ending of the GM Project. But if this mess continues unchecked, that will happen. He crossed the line in attacking Stephanie. He will get his ass kicked.
Guest HartFan86 Posted September 13, 2002 Report Posted September 13, 2002 Bischoff has been a great success, IMO. The wedding segment was so awesome as well with Bischoff doing the main part.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 13, 2002 Report Posted September 13, 2002 I actually laughed (first time in a while during Smackdown) when Bisch was counting down to three minutes, and this laugh was for all the right reasons...
Guest Super Pissed Smark Posted September 13, 2002 Report Posted September 13, 2002 I will always hate Bischoff's guts, not in the 'hey he's a great heel, I'm really annoyed by him' way, but in the 'every time I look at him I see the fucking imbecile who pissed away an entire multi-million dollar wrestling company in just a few years' way, and I don't think I'll every get over that. Oh, and he did probably the stupidest thing in the history of wrestling when he fired Austin and told him he'd never be able to market him. Hah! Having said that, I finally watched the WWE for the first time in about a month tonight and Bischoff was absolutely awesome. Totally saved that horrid segment. He was so convincing as the old guy that Steph should take some acting lessons from the motherfucker. But I still hate him.
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted September 13, 2002 Report Posted September 13, 2002 Bischoff was just amazing. Amazing. Amazing. He just out-acted every single wrestler on the roster, and I don't think that's an exxageration. He is consistently entertaining as a slimy heel. The man is like some kind of Prince among men. Hail to thee, Bisch. Hail to thee.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted September 13, 2002 Report Posted September 13, 2002 I think that Vince could use the heat TNN gave him for the HLA segment to fire Bischoff on air and off air has well.
Guest Si82 Posted September 13, 2002 Report Posted September 13, 2002 I think that Eric Bischoff is the best thing in the WWE today. The guy is fantastic. He owns every and any segment he is in. I can't wait for Smackdown! on Saturday (here in the UK). BISCHOFF ROCKS!!!
