Guest Incandenza Report post Posted September 11, 2002 EDIT: Argh. I got this from PWBTS and put up a link, but it's been giving me pop-ups out the ass, so here's the article, lest anyone run into the same problem: Bradshaw on Tuesday had surgery to repair a torn biceps muscle in his left arm. The big Texan will require four to six months of rehabilitation and recovery time before he can return to the ring. The injury occurred during the first segment of RAW, when he and Kane teamed to take on Christian and Lance Storm. But Bradshaw finished his match and completed his duties on RAW -- he even ran in during the Booker T & Goldust vs. William Regal & Test match -- in spite of the pain. On Tuesday morning, Bradshaw and World Wrestling Entertainment trainer Chris Brennan flew to Birmingham, Ala., to see Dr. James Andrews. The surgeon examined the big Texan and diagnosed a tear; a subsequent MRI confirmed the tear, and Bradshaw went under the knife on Tuesday afternoon. Andrews reportedly deemed the surgery a complete success. The injury is apparently very similar to the one suffered by Kane last May. Wearing a hard cast from his shoulder to his elbow, Bradshaw flew home on Wednesday. WWE.com hopes to speak with Bradshaw later this week

Guest PuzzyBludPopzicle Report post Posted September 11, 2002 Strange thing happened when I read that. The sun started shining brighter, my cat came and nuzzled up against my leg purring, and my toothache went away for a moment. Coincidence?
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted September 11, 2002 I'm glad Bradshaw's gone, but I don't find this funny. It lacks the subtle social commentary of Kevin Nash's quad tear.
Guest PuzzyBludPopzicle Report post Posted September 11, 2002 or it could be leading to an epidemic of hosses tearing up their arms trying to carry the company back to greatness

Guest Kinetic Report post Posted September 11, 2002 No injury will ever be quite as humorous as Kevin Nash's quad tear. In addition to the aforementioned social commentary, it also had the added benefit of Big Lazy going down five seconds after tagging in for no apparent reason. His screaming added a lot, as well. Not to mention HBK doing a promo after the match saying that if Triple H didn't join the nWo, he'd be "face down like all the rest" as fellow nWo member Kevin Nash laid in the corner of the ring, screaming like a girl. It was just perfect on every level. Nothing could even hope to top it.

Guest deadbeater Report post Posted September 11, 2002 Bradshaw is not as bad as Test. Justin was once part of the APA, which had some of the best skits in the WWE programs. I know, I know, his current Midnight Cowboy gimmick is not a good one. I do hope he recovers fully, with an improved gimmick. Kevin Nash tearing his quad was so funny in so many levels. I mean, Gerwitz can't write anything funny, but he sets up things so that wacky uninentionally funny things happen.

EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2002 The whole Stan Hansen thing is like this. When he got mega over in Japan for doing the MEGA-HUGE HEAD RIPPING LARIATOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS, Vince took it upon himself to try and create somebody like that. He chose Bradshaw, which in reality is really stupid. Sure he's a Texan, but he can't do much else. Hansen could do a LOT better than Bradshaw could.
