Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I hate to say it, but I'm starting to like Matt Hardy. Where was he hiding this charisma before??? Lita and Jeff were holding Matt down!! Yeah, Matt Hardy is growing on me, he just needs to update some move sets, and probably gat a new finisher. What is Matt's finisher.. really? the Twist of Fate? drop it! We want the Mattitude Adjustment!
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Twist of Fate isn't that bad.....it's a twisting diamond cutter, but the rest of his move set needs some mattitude.
Guest snowfan Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Life's a bitch.......when you look like a horse eh Sara? Sara and the rest of the family on a picnic while Mark is on tour...
Guest Goodear Report post Posted September 13, 2002 You just know Matt is going to be walking around with that victory on his shoulder for weeks. I'm sure Hurricane and Moore will be hearing stories about it for weeks and weeks... "You guys are good... BUT I BEAT UNDERTAKER!!! WHOOOO!"
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 damn Snowfan how do you pull up these pics so fast?
Guest Cactus Clothesline Report post Posted September 13, 2002 This show was pretty good but WHERE WAS TAJIRI! Yoshihiro Tajiri = RATINGS
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Probably jobbing to Mark Henry or Albert on Velocity. Damn the WWE for putting them over cruiserweights.
Guest snowfan Report post Posted September 13, 2002 damn Snowfan how do you pull up these pics so fast? talent and a hispeed connection.... I have a good search engine...
Guest Goodear Report post Posted September 13, 2002 This show was pretty good but WHERE WAS TAJIRI! Yoshihiro Tajiri = RATINGS Noble was out too... but so was Mark Henry!!! So it's not all bad. They need to keep The Guerrero's as a steady team and leave Benoit out of it. Chavo and Eddie have better continuity IMO.
Guest Raven_Effect01 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Smackdown wasn't much. I liked the Guerreros vs. Edge and Cena, the Island Boys attack on Steph, and Angle vs. Mysterio, but that was about it.
Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I liked the show, easily better than Raw. Angle/Misterio was great, both Angle's pre-match promo and the match itself. The wedding was too long, it wasn't done badly though and the Bisch/Rosie/Jamal invasion was good. If they want to pull the envelope they should have had Brock do something physical to SaraTaker just to show he will go to any lenghts to punish his opponents. A simple kick to her bulging belly would have done the trick and got major heat. I like Matt Hardy and his Mattitude. Even though he has been around a while he seems fresh and entertaining. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Why was Matt Hardy main eventing? WHY CAN'T EDDY GET THE UPPER HAND ON EDGE? WHY?
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 OH MY GOD. For anyone who's Smackdown airs later than mine, WATCH THE WEDDING. OH MY GOD.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted September 13, 2002 The wedding was crap...they could've pulled off that surprise in a better and quicker way. The pay off wasn't worth the horribly drawn out 20 minute buildup. If the pay off came at the end of say a 10 minute segment it would've been alot better. Besides the pay off was weak because it was too small and was broken up too easily. Vince needs to retire...he's starting to lose touch with reality even more then usual. Guest chirs3 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 The entire Godfather thing should have been cut, because that was pointless as fuck, but Bischoff's sudden: "Wait a second... did I just hear myself say... THREE MINUTES?" and everything after was easily the best thing I've seen on Smackdown in a long while.
Guest papacita Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Yeah, Godfather shouldn't have been out there, but like someone already said, I think he was just there to rub in the PTC's faces. The Bischoff thing was classic though.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 And OF COURSE, I couldn't record it this week. I would love to have that on tape.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted September 13, 2002 The wedding was WAY too long. But I was grinning like an idiot during the ending. Bischoff is God, folks.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Bischoff Is RAW! Bischoff is SMACKDOWN!!! This man cannot be stopped. Angle/Rey match was great and so was the tag match. Wedding was HILARIOUS, the 3 minutes was amazing. Brock holding Sara's stomach did look creepy as fuck! But where was Funaki?!? And did Cole call every wrestler who was in the ring, "intense". Guess someone needs a thesaurus.
Guest jester Report post Posted September 13, 2002 My thoughts: -what a hot match between Angle and Mysterio. There wasn't as much skill and wrestling in the entire last episode of Raw as there was in this single match. -The wedding thing went on far too long, but there was a good finish. Great mask job on Bischoff. Let's face it: could have been much worse. -There were HLA signs in the crowd. Oh God no. -Also quite a few Lesnar signs. Is he getting popular, or did WWE hand them out? That last thing doesn't make sense when they're still pushing him as a heel. -The women's match was suprisingly not painful. Not good, but it looked like a wrestling match. The commentary was also a relief after Raw. -Good show. Much better mix of story threads and matches. If RVD jumped to Smackdown, I'd probably be done with Raw with the shape it's in. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 yeah but there's still Book Dust on RAW too.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted September 13, 2002 A ton of points: -Where was Funaki? -Why was Bischoff, dressed as an old man, dancing to "its raining men"? -Did Rico say Garlic "I wanted hanging garlic!" -The Godfather part of the wedding wasn't necessary. -How many pairs of tights does John Cena have?? -The point of the main event was...?? -WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? -Rey vs Angle was the best match I've seen on free TV in a while. -Oh, and I didn't need to see Chavo's ass either.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted September 13, 2002 -Also quite a few Lesnar signs. Is he getting popular, or did WWE hand them out? That last thing doesn't make sense when they're still pushing him as a heel. Smackdown was taped in Minnesota, which is Lesnar's home state. Also, Cena has 90+ pairs of tights, as stated in RAW magazine. I bet they're all in that same style and wherever they go, Cena looks up the colors of the local sports team and picks his tights accordingly.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Where the people who didn't know the spoilers shocked when Bischoff peeled off the mask. Since I saw the spoilers it's easy for me to say this, but the voice gave it away right away for me.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted September 13, 2002 Well, I hate to say it, but Smackdown was a better show that Raw this week. -The Guerrero's are a very good team. I like watching them kick the fuck out of Cena/Edge -Benoit/Rikishi was a bit dissappointing, but if it's Kurt v. Benoit at the PPV, I'm down with it. -Wedding was pretty bad, but they had me fooled with the old man. I read the spoilers and couldn't believe that it was Bischoff. -Matt Hardy is getting funnier every week. I'm going to start using Mattitude in my every day vocabulary. -Kurt v. Rey Rey was very good, including the promo before the match. Bad: -No Jamie Noble -No Tajiri -Matches were a bit too short for my liking. Oh, and Tazz ran circles around Lawler on commentary. During the Kurt v. Rey match, he was describing different holds and explaining why they hurt, etc. That instantly makes him better than Lawler in my book. Guest notJames Report post Posted September 13, 2002 I thought it was pretty obvious right from the start that the minister was Bischoff. Maybe it's just me. So what happens now? Is Steph still written as a face after the 3-Minute Offense™ even though Bisch clearly got plenty of pops? Is RAW now the "heel" show? Are Billy and Chuck, perennial midcarders-cum-Velocity staples, even worth all this exposure? Is Rico now on RAW? Is Rico the Island Boyz manager? Is Rico actually gay? Is it even important? And isn't it a little too soon to be doing yet another lame InVasion angle when the really big one (you know, the one that was predicated on almost 20 fucking years of backstory and a surefire no-brainer) went tits up due to terrible booking and ego-driven politics? Don't even get me started on Charles fucking Wright back on my TV... Yeah, the payoff was decent (if a tad predictable), but will it lead to something either unique or memorable? It better... Oh yeah, and Angle is The Man. Bottom line. And another thing... I don't think Lesnar's ganso bomb was legit. Judging from the awkward pause after it, and Holly's sloppiness throughout the entire match (especially when he took the F5) I think it was a botched spot. Who in their right mind would take that hit?
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted September 13, 2002 About Edge/Rikishi: People are right about them always saving face at each episode. If Edge had received the Stinkface from Chavo it would have been motivation for revenge, but instead Eddie got it Just Because. I believe the very last time Edge lost face on SD was when he was injured and Jericho slammed the chair on his shoulder (and that speaks volumes). Rikishi is just as bad. He did lose against Lesnar a month ago but not after stinkfacing Heyman and sending Brock out of the ring at the top of that particular show. It's stuff like this that makes me not like WWE's babyfaces.

Since I saw the spoilers it's easy for me to say this, but the voice gave it away right away for me. I never read the spoilers, so it shocked me. I knew the voice sounded familiar, and I was busy just trying to figure out who it was but when he said "or 3 minutes", I was just like "OH SHIT!" I can honestly say I haven't marked out like that in years.
