Did Brock shoot on Holly?

And in america they dont do the ganso bomb because, *ahem* IT INVOLVES DROPPING YOU SQUARE ON YOUR HEAD! No american wrestler outside of Necro Butcher would probably willingly take it. The WWF would never allow it to occur on purpose because theyd be paying for life for the guy with the broken neck.

Problem is with the WWE that they are so Safety concious lately that the only major injuries people seems to be sustaining lately is Torn Quads from TRIPPING and Torn Biceps from either Clotheslining too hard or Weight lifting Snafu's. These big bad HHH's Kevin Nash's Bradshaw's Kane's of the WWE probably Die if someone gave them a Emerald Fusion, or a Fisherman's Buster.

"Now for real points, why is it called ganso? I think it might be japanese for mistake, but can someone give a better reason?"

Do people just not read the posts anymore?

That move wasn't a shoot or a mistake. It was a GANSO BOMB it's supposed to look like that. They use the move in Japan a lot.

lol.. no, it was clearly a mistake. WWE is not gonna want their guys doing ganso bombs. They don't even allow piledrivers and the ganso bomb is 100x more dangerous.

doesn't Ganso mean 'original' or something? I dunno.

and has anybody in Japan gotten a broken neck from doing a move that wasn't messed up???

I missed the first 15 minutes of Smackdown but luckily it's airing today as there was a Giants game on thursday so I'll be able to catch the Brock/Holly match.

The Japanese wrestlers go through grueling training sessions in the dojo's including doing a tremendous amount of neck exercises. Instead of working out to gain muscle mass they train for endurance, strenght and flexibility which comes in handy when taking head/neck bumps.

My knowledge is pretty limited but I haven't heard of wrestlers being paralyzed from taking a move(3 wrestlers have died from head injuries in the last 5 years or so.), Misawa was paralyzed from the waste down for a week from taking a Burning Hammer.

Hayabusa's neck injury occured on a messed up move and not an average neck/head bump. The way he landed was so horrific that no amount of training would have done him any good.

Uh, excuse me, they do NOT do the Ganso Bomb "all the time" in Japan. It happened once or twice, then they put it in video games.

I know little to nothing about puro. (Basically limited to a best of Liger tape and FMW: The Legend Dawns)

But I thought the Ganso Bomb was actually a fucked up rana reversal, thus a one time thing.

Of course, every time someone fucks up a powerbomb it could come out looking like a Ganso Bomb, so maybe that's how it's turned into a kind of wrestling urban legend.

The first time was a screwed up rana reversal, the repeats haven't been.

That was horrible watching Hayabusa. It was off a monsault wasn't it.

Hayabusa is regaining feeling slowly though. He missed a Lionsault (can't think of the real name right now) and landed directly on his head. Last I saw, they weren't sure if it was his mistake or if the ropes were too loose or something.

For what it's worth, Triple H did take a Dragon Suplex from Benoit on a PPV (can't recall exactly which one though). I'd much rather take a Ganso Bomb (Kawada style) or an Emerald Fusion (or Island Driver or Dreamer Driver, both done in America, so don't say "No American wrestler would take that move) than a Dragon Suplex or a Burning Hammer.

Damn that Tombstone ban.....Benoit's Avalanche Tombstone is my favorite, sigh. I don't know why he doesn't break out the Dragon Suplex......no ban on that is there? I'm sure Angle would sell it.

Oh yeah, ummm.......I don't like Hardcore Holly and if he was really being a bitch, Lesnar has a right to stiff him (as long as he doesn't legitimately hurt him).

Jericho did a Tiger Suplex if I recall as well....along with his own Tombstone. Oh well, can't have anyone hurting their necks.......like Lita, Austin, Benoit, Scotty2Hotty or Rhino (only Austin's was from a head drop, correct?)

Only Austin's was from an actualy head drop, but Lita did something that aggravated the whole thing didn't she? The wear and tear of bumping, and head butts in other's case.

Totally off topic, but as great a name as Miracle Ecstasy is, nothing can beat the Viagra Driver. Except maybe Space Flying Tiger whatever...

and yes, I also support Super Tombstones.

and yes, I think everyone should drop Holly on his fucking head, just for my own amusement if nothing else

Yeah, she finally hit her head doing her Litacarrana. That move always scared me when she did it, b/c she would get so close to hitting........I say let the guys who are willing to do head drops do them. Jeff Hardy and RVD took Regal's half-nelson suplex like move. I'm sure others would as well.

EDIT: Sasuke does rule.

RVD takes some nasty neck bumps but anyone can tell his training has let him take those kind of high impact moves without injury.

Spike has taken some neck bumps, Regal gave him a sick half-nelson suplex a while back.

I wouldn't term RVD's suplex bumps as legit head drops, they definitely are neck drops but he's great at taking bumps on his shoulders and making them look deadly. Misawa has taken alot of legit head dropping bumps which I tend to go back and watch in slow motion and cringe while wondering how he can continually take them and be able to perform at such a high level.

BTW, Lita got injured doing a stunt while shooting for Dark Angel.

Yes but the stunt was a Litacarrana, correct? I know RVD's neck bumps aren't quite head drops but I would imagine he'd take them as well. He does seem to be very durable to say the least. I wonder if he'd be considered "double tough" or even "Bubba tough"? And yes, Spike would take those bumps too. I forgot about him, shockingly enough.

Lita got too long of legs to do Hurricanranas anyway. everytime I see her do one, espically to a Opponent on the floor it always looks she swings the opponent too low to the ground.
