Funny: Hero! Jackass!

Austin's KOTR '96 speech. Also, some of Bret's first heel promos (such as the one he gave when he made peace with Owen & Davey Boy)

That's tough, because Cactus' promo's in ECW were absolutely great. Great as in my jaw was on the floor. I always liked Arn's promos as well. There was someone on this very board ::thumbs up, plays to crowd:: that had an Arn promo that was great to just read.

Funny

Well, that's your bWo those were riotously funny. Also, most of Kurt's promos are great, as well as all of the Austin/Angle ones.

Flair's return in Greenville in 1998. Incredible.

His series of promos in 2000 when David sided with Vince Russo were classics, too. Those promos made the angle decent.

Serious: Any of Foleys anti-hardcore promos, specifically the one where he tells Dreamer that unless he signs with WCW, he's damning Cactus Jack to eternal damnation.

- Steve Austins first promo when he entered ECW and talked about being held back in WCW.

- Cactus and Raven talking about Dreamer and Raven prior to the NTR 95 show....." Goddamn you Terry Funk.....we were on the verge of something very special here."

Funny

- Booker, Rock and Golddust after KOTR 2002.

- Hero vs Jackass

- Austin and Tajiri

- Austin singing "Kumbaya" to Vince

Brian Pillman's ECW debut, the "smaaaaaaaaart maaaaaaarks" promo. That and his WWF contract signing promo are still my two favorites.

As for funny:bWo in NY at Christmas, when Stevie superkicked Santa

Jericho's "Conspiracy Victim" era promos

Hardcore Holly/Kurt Angle/Kaientai, summer of 2000-Kurt just won King of the Ring, and was talking down to Kaientai. Holly comes in, and yells "They're not stupid, they're JAPANESE!"

Jericho/Rock - Jericho's debut. Incredible heat.

Jericho/Rock - any promo during their incrediblyawesomefantasticsuperdynamic fued in late 2001. Again incredible heat. Especially when Jericho does the 'just bring it' motion right in Rock's face. Awesome. Just awesome.

Serious: Practically any promo in the Jericho/Rock feud. Austin's KotR 96 speech. Pillman's ECW debut (he also had a terrific one at KotR 96).

Funny: Angle/Austin's "hero vs. jackass." I still laugh when I think about it over a year later.

Well....

Serious: Flair's 1998 return, Flair's last Nitro promo, Any Jercho/Rocky promo.

Funny: Angle/Austin: "Hero/Jackass". Foely/Rocky "This is your life". DX election speech.

Surreal: Hogan's Wrestlemania IV promo where he claims himself to be lord and savior and Trump will die if he doesn't take Hogan as his god. Vince McMahon the Nitro/RAW after he bought WCW. Vince the week after Austin left.

Pillman's ECW debut is one of my favorite promos. The original DX impersonation of the NOD was great too.. especially since I was there live :)

Serious: The Rock's "Quite frankly you're just not that good" promo on Jericho and Jericho's "I'm a credible champion, dammit" promo on Rocky in that feud.

Funny: The Rock's first "IT DOESN'T MATTER" promo on Billy Gunn.

Ric Flair when he was about to show the WWF History Kid Rock video

Mick Foley "He's Hardcore" from ECW

Chris Jericho promo in WCW as the conspiracy victim or the JJ Dillion one with loop holes.

the greatest Booker T & Goldust promo ever is the Croc Hunter with the Big Showpotomous

Cane Dewey, Pillman's ECW debut promo, Rock/Jericho before the RR, "no no no NO! I am not a joke!" and Rock's RAW promo right after Austin walked out.

The one that made me laugh the hardest is on WCW 95 fall brawl. Sullivan ranting about hating Hulkamania, picking flowers, and bashing a hogan action figure with a shovel. Must be seen to be appreciated.

I second the Second Coming of Cactus Jack. It's shown almost in entirety on the Hard Knocks, Cheap Pops video.

(paraphrased)" I am not worried about *YOU'RE* gonna to do me.......I don't want their little eyes to see what *I'M* gonna do..........TO YOU!!" (I know, not the actual text, but damn.)

Funniest would have to be The Rock on Billy Gunn, where It Doesn't Matter was first introduced.

All-time fave: Ric Flair post Royal Rumble 92.

"When you walk around this world and you say you're number 1, the only way to stay number 1 is to be number 1! And the only ... title ... in the wrestling world that makes you number 1 is when you are the king of the WWF. And for all the Hogans and Pipers and Sids ... now it's Ric Flair and you all pay homage to the man! Whoooo!"

(okay, maybe not word for word but it's still incredible to this day)

Runners-up / honorable mentions:

Rick Rude & Bobby Heenan at Summer Slam 90 where they compare the match with Warrior to Rocky

("And there ain't gonna be no rematch! *kiss*")

Russo's shoot on Hogan (BATB 2000)

Flair's return in 98 ("Abuse of power!")

Arn Anderson's retirement speech in 97

The NWO's parody a week later

DX's parody of the Nation in 98

("I don't know what you're cooking, Crock ... smells like shit to me ... but I think I'll eat some anyway!")

The Rock's "This is Your Life" from 99

Best serious promo was A.) Bret Hart's RAW speech after Wrestlemania 13. His "heel turn" promo. Great stuff. You can also take your pick from any Arn Anderson promo. Best mic skills ever.

The austin promos building up throughout the whole summer leading up to ss96. Those promos made austin as big as he was.

Serious:

-Heyman's on Smackdown was nice (WHY DIDN'T I TAPE THAT SHOW?!?!?!)

-I always liked HBK's promo from the night after Survivor Series 97...despite his insider references that went over my head at the time, and the fact that he said "The WWF isn't big enough for the Heartbreak Kid and Shawn Michaels", it was still a very effective promo...especially when he breaks out that "good, pure, raw, natural talent" line.

-Jericho's debut was good.

Funny:

-Steve Austin's Monday Nyquil parody in ECW. That shit was classic. "Welcome to Monday Nyquil...where the big boys play with themselves."

-Rock's promo on Billy Gunn from heat in 99

Honorable Mention: Austin's promo from the TLC 3 Smackdown.

Mick Foley---"Win or lose-- I gave you the fight of your life, while I just had a good time".

Bubba "This is not the HHH's show!! This is the people's show!"

Funny--"CrockDust". "It's the bandanna-wearing greaserat!!...They tend to suck."
