How does on rip audio from a movie file?

I've got a bunch of Invader Zim episodes on my computer, and I wanted to rip a few sound bites from them. Problem is, I don't know how. Is there a program somewhere out there to do this?

if you get hold of a program called "absolute mp3 recorder" i think made by "techlogic" you should be able to do it.

 

The program should be available on download.com, and allows you to capture what ever you can hear on your pc to .mp3 format.

does this also let you edit sound you capture (like combine audio, do mixing, etc)? if not, where can you get something that does?
