WWE wants to take focus away from Rock

As far as mainstream popularity goes, I would think Kurt Angle is more popular than Triple H. Now maybe going bald will have an effect on people recognizing him, but the image of Kurt crying and stuff after he won the gold medal was one of the more popular images from that Olympics, behind Michael Johnson and Kerri Strug.

 

HHH was on MadTV and he was also on the Saturday Night Live that Rock hosted, but that's about it. I kind of recall him being on some other sitcom one time, but maybe I've got him mixed up with Chyna. I remember when Hulk Hogan was on ESPN's Unscripted and he talked about HHH alot, but they never showed HHH so that doesn't mean much.

Kurt Angle was on Unscripted, too. After just watching it once, it doesn't surprise me the show was cancelled so soon. Both HHH & Angle have been on a lot of shows, but many more people know Angle.

Kurt Angle may be the internet's biggest wet dream but Triple H still has more reconizgeablilty and name familitrity. (Yes, I fucked the words up.
