Guest FeArHaVoC Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 WWE Management recently asked Test and Christian to cut their long hair off for styles similar to those of William Regal and Lance Storm. WWE management feel "long hair is out" (except for Triple H). Common sense dictated that Test and Christian both upset want to keep their cool long hair and are trying to fight the request. Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 I'd ask why the fuck he'd ask them to do something liek that, but then, it's the WWE, so it doesn't make sense by proxy.
Guest Kingpk Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Guess Trips is tired of them stealing his conditioner.
Guest Grenouille Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 I can see why they'd be upset by this, but it's just hair. It does grow back.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 I'm surprised they didn't ask Storm to cut his, too. "How many times do I have to tell you to cut those sideburns, Mattingly?"
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 1/4 of the Roster has long hair. What about everyone else? ------------------------ <Vince> I think it's time for a change and you should cut your Hair, Christian and Test. <JR> By GAWD! Long Hair is out! <Christian> What do you two know? You're like 130 between the 2 of you! <Vince> We know what the Audience whats, damnit! ::Test laughs:: <Vince> GET OUT! GET OUT, DAMNIT! <JR> Say hi to D-Lo & Coach on Heat!
Guest TheArchiteck Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Man this company has some crazy backstage stuff going on. Damn!
Guest Nevermortal Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Damn, long hair rules. If they gotta cut their hair, Lawler's gotta have his voice box removed. Fair trade.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 My friend has a life long dream to throw gum in Edge's hair forcing him to cut it...THAT I would like to see, his big goofy ears would really stand out.
Rob E Dangerously Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 If they want to do this, why don't they MAKE SOME MONEY OFF IT! Hair v. Hair matches! Christian v. Booker, Hair v. Hair and Test v. Kane, Hair v. Hair
The Dames Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Man, the UnAmericans just can't get a break with management these days. Dames
Rob E Dangerously Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Christian should cut his hair Test.. should not
Guest Si82 Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 I'm surprised they didn't ask Storm to cut his, too. "How many times do I have to tell you to cut those sideburns, Mattingly?" Mr. Burns Rules!
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Maybe it's a way of making the Un Americans some sort of militant looking skinhead faction
Guest J*ingus Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Why those two guys specifically? Just because of the Un-Americans angle, which will almost certainly be dead and gone long before the hair could grow back? HHH, Jericho, both Hardys, Edge, Rikishi, Bradshaw, Kane, RVD, Eddy, Raven, Heyman, HBK, and probably a few others I'm forgetting all have long hair.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 I have nightmares about getting haircuts, so I can sympathize with Test and Christian. As a matter of fact, I've had dreams where I've wanted to fuck somebody up for cutting my hair. I have thought for a while that Christian would look better with shorter hair, but you should never force someone to cut their hair. On a side note, I think Lance Storm should cut his hair shorter because it's thinning like a motherfucker.
Guest JHawk Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Was this the same sort of thinking that convinced them to change Bubba Ray Dudley's outfit? JR: Hoss or no hoss, long pants are out bah gawd! Bubba: But I look like Big Dick's cellmate with this outfit. JR: Did Dusty Rhodes ever wear long pants? Hell no bah gawd! I agree with whoever said "At least make money off it" though. Hell, Kurt Angle shaved his head by choice and they decided to make it an angle. But would it really affect the gimmick if they didn't get it cut?
Guest jester Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Maybe it's a way of making the Un Americans some sort of militant looking skinhead faction That would make more sense. RVD has long hair, but you wouldn't get him to cut it because long hair is perfect for his character. This story sounds little suspicious to me.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Maybe Vince is just fucking with all the guys seeing what they'll do and what they won't. In Dynamite Kid's book he said Vince liked to do those kind of things for his own amusement.
Guest Human Fly Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 I can see why they'd be upset by this, but it's just hair. It does grow back. It grows back yeah, but it's not like they cut it and then next month it's long again. Christian would probably take around two years (if his hair grows fast) to get it around what he's got now depending on how they want him to cut it. If he likes his hair the way it is that would be a bitch.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Yeah, Christian cuts the hair down to Storm length...and they break up the UnAmericans.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 They should just have Storm and Regal grow out thier hair. Storm could grow a Benoit mullet and look badass. Regal...well, Regal would look fucked up, but whatever.
Guest evilhomer Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 This is short term booking at it's finest. An idea for an angle that will last a few more months that has ramifications lasting for over a year. What happens when the angle runs out and they're looking for something new? Vince: Ok Test, the UnAmericans are out, you have to be cool again ( ), all cool guys have long hair, so get on that
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Wow, aren't there more pressing issues for WWE to be concerned about other than this?
Guest Anglesault Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 If Test cuts his hair, Shane won't be attracted to him anymore, and Test will be fired. THAT'S why test won't cut.
Guest BorneAgain Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 Wow, aren't there more pressing issues for WWE to be concerned about other than this? Of course there are. The real issue Vince is worried about is the condition of Kevin Nash's hair when he gets back.
Guest DragonflyKid Posted September 17, 2002 Report Posted September 17, 2002 I'm still bitter over the fact Stevie Richards cut his hair and became Steven. Does the WWE actually think a guy getting his hair cut makes them fresh again? I remember when the Big Show and Val Venis were on the stale side and both got their hair cut, the Undertaker too. It gives them a new look but doesn't address more important ways to get over. Storm needs to grow a ducktail again not a Benoit mullet, ducktails are instant heat generators. I remember the first time I saw Storm in ECW, he wore green tights and I was impressed with his wrestling ability right away, but beyond that the ducktail put him above the rest. Ducktails>Mullets.
Guest BlackRainbow1025 Posted September 18, 2002 Report Posted September 18, 2002 I think they should all grow Tenzan skunk mullets. Tenzan rules......on topic though, why cut your hair? McMahon is an idiot as this angle will not last that long anyway.
Guest B-X Posted September 18, 2002 Report Posted September 18, 2002 My friend has a life long dream to throw gum in Edge's hair forcing him to cut it...THAT I would like to see, his big goofy ears would really stand out. Your friend is 5 years old?
Guest DARRYLXWF Posted September 18, 2002 Report Posted September 18, 2002 WWE Management recently asked Test and Christian to cut their long hair off for styles similar to those of William Regal and Lance Storm. Source: Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter I find the 'except for Triple H' bit funny for some reason. And the hair-cuts have generally been good, but I HATE the bald Kurt Angle. HATE it.
